• Comment reply procedure using jquery and php?

  I have Commenting system in my app. For a single video entry anyone can post a comment and someone else can post reply to that comment and replies, cannot have thier further reples, similar to StackOverflow is doing (1 Answer, and thier 1 or more replies). • Running SQLite 3 in MicroApache

  I'm running MicroApache (http://microapache.amadis.sytes.net) on Windows XP and would like to use SQLite 3 databases. The PHP version is 5.2.9-2. My MicroApache version has SQLite 2 support through 2 lines in the php.ini: extension=php_pdo.dll extension=php_sqlite.dll I test whether the extension works in 3 ways: 1. phpinfo() 2. extension_loaded() and get_loaded_extensions() 3. using sample code that var_dump()s the constant SQLITE3_NUM (should be the integer 2) and tries to create a database (error: class 'SQLite3' does not exist) Things I have tried (if I can remember them all): 1. copied php_sqlite3.dll from a full installation of PHP and added "extension=php_sqlite3.dll" to php.ini - error "Procedure entry point gc_remove_zval_from_buffer was not found in php5ts.dll" 2. compressed the DLL with UPX (like the other DLLs of MicroApache seem to be) - does not display an error on start, nor in the log file, but does not work 3. tried various things with php.ini - created a section "[sqlite3]" - prefixed "sqlite3." to "extension_dir=." and "extension=php_sqlite3.dll" - ... 4. tried to use PDO, it says it 'could not find driver' Who can help me get SQLite 3 to work?

• iPhone SDK: How do you download video files to the Document Directory and then play them?

  I've been fooling around with code for ages on this one, I would be very grateful if someone could provide a code sample that downloaded this file from a server http://www.archive.org/download/june_high/june_high_512kb.mp4, (By the way it's not actually this file, it's just a perfect example for anyone trying to help me) and then play it from the documents directory. I know it seems lazy of me to ask this but I have tried so many different variations of NSURLConnection that it's driving me crazy. Also, if I did manage to get the video file downloaded would I be correct in assuming this code would then successfully play it: NSArray *paths = NSSearchPathForDirectoriesInDomains(NSDocumentDirectory, NSUserDomainMask, YES); NSString *documentsDirectory = [paths objectAtIndex:0]; NSString *path = [documentsDirectory stringByAppendingPathComponent:@"june_high_512kb.mp4"]; NSURL *movieURL = [NSURL fileURLWithPath:path]; self.theMovie = [[MPMoviePlayerController alloc] initWithContentURL:movieURL]; [_theMovie play]; If the above code would work in playing a video file from the document directory, then I guess the only thing I would need to know is, how to download a video file from a server. • Iphone CATextLayer doesn't show it's text.

  Here is my new bee issue: I was simply trying to add a CATextlayer in an UIView layer. However, according to the following code, I only get the CATextlayer's background color be displayed in the UIView, without any text. Just wonder what did I missed to display the text. • Virtual properties duplicated during serialization when XmlElement attribute used

  The Goal: XML serialize an object that contains a list of objects of that and its derived types. The resulting XML should not use the xsi:type attribute to describe the type, to wit the names of the serialized XML elements would be an assigned name specific to the derived type, not always that of the base class, which is the default behavior. The Attempt: After exploring IXmlSerializable and IXmlSerializable with eerie XmlSchemaProvider methods and voodoo reflection to return specialized schemas and an XmlQualifiedName over the course of days, I found I was able to use the simple [XmlElement] attribute to accomplish the goal... almost. The Problem: Overridden properties appear twice when serializing. The exception reads "The XML element 'overriddenProperty' from namespace '' is already present in the current scope. Use XML attributes to specify another XML name or namespace for the element." I attempted using a *Specified property (see code), but it didn't work. • JQuery Autocomplete plugin not working with JQuery 1.4.1

  I've been using the JQuery Autocomplete plugin with JQuery version 1.3.2, and it has been working great. I recently updated JQuery in my project to version 1.4.2, and the Autocomplete plugin is now broken. The JQuery code to add items to a textbox on my web page doesn't seem to be getting called at all. Does anyone know if the JQuery Autocomplete plugin is incompatible with JQuery version 1.4.2, and if there is a fix for this problem? • ASP.NET MVC on GoDaddy Not Working (Not Primary Domain Deployment)

  I am trying to get ASP.NET MVC working on GoDaddy and I'm not having much luck. I have read the post on SO that covers the subject, but I must have a slightly different configuration or must be missing somehting along the way because the main MVC page comes up, but all links seem to fail and no amount of tweaking the URLs seems to get it to work. A little back ground. I have a single hosting plan with many domains pointed to sub folders of the main domain. Basic ASP.NET web forms pages work just fine, but of course I wanted to try and host a sample MVC site in one of these non-primary domains. You can go to the URL here. As you can see this first page comes up, but if you click on Home or About it doesn't work. Clicking on Home creates this link "http://www.jprescottsanders.com/jps/" and clicking on about creates this link "http://www.jprescottsanders.com/jps/Home/About". As you can see JPS sneaks in there, this of course is the sub folder that i place my web app files in. I would like to know if this is a MVC related issue or a GoDaddy issue. I suspect that MVC may want to sit in the root directory of the site, and when it puts the "jps" into the URLs it breaks the routing mechanisms (but this is conjecture). I know Dan said this was possible so I'm hoping he sees this and helps me get to the bottom of this deployment strategy for MVC.

• Dojox Datagrid contains data, but shows up as empty

  I'd really appreciate any help on this. There is this Dojox Datagrid that I'm creating programatically and supplying JSON data. As of now, I'm creating this data within JavaScript itself. (Can't post images since my account is new here) As you may notice, there are 6 rows for 6 pieces of data I have created but the grid is a mess.   In our SharePoint application we have used the UnitOfWork + Repository patterns together with Entity Framework. To avoid the usage of the passthrough authentication we have developed a piece of code that impersonate a single user before creating the ObjectContext instance in a similar way that is described in "Impersonating user with Entity Framework" on this site. The only difference between our code and the referred question is that, to do the impersonation, we are using RunWithElevatedPrivileges to impersonate the Application Pool identity as in the following sample. SPSecurity.RunWithElevatedPrivileges(delegate() { using (SPSite site = new SPSite(url)) { _context = new MyDataContext(ConfigSingleton.GetInstance().ConnectionString); } }); We have done this way because we expected that creating the ObjectContext after impersonation and, due to the fact that Repositories are receiving the impersonated ObjectContext would solve our requirement. Unfortunately it's not so easy. In fact we experienced that, even if the ObjectContext is created before and under impersonation circumstances, the real connection is made just before executing the query, and so does not use impersonation, which break our requirement. I have checked the ObjectContext class to see if there was any event through which we can inject the impersonation but unfortunately found nothing. Any help?

• Audio playback, creating nested loop for fade in/out.

  Hi Folks, First time poster here. A quick question about setting up a loop here. I want to set up a for loop for the first 1/3 of the main loop that will increase a value from .00001 or similar to 1. So I can use it to multiply a sample variable so as to create a fade-in in this simple audio file playback routine. My problem is I'm trying to figure out a way to loop the variable 'fade' so it either increases or decreases to 1, so as I can modify the output variable. I wanted to do this in say 3 stages: 1. From 0 to frames/3 to increace a multiplication factor from .0001 to 1 2. from frames 1/3 to frames 2/3 to do nothing (multiply by 1) and 3. For the factor to decrease again below 1 so as for the output variable to decrease back to the original point. How can I create a loop that will increase and decrease these values over the outside loop?

If im not wrong, this would give me an output of values between -1 and 1 which i can apply FFT on ( to be converted to a spectrogram later on). However, my output is no where near -1 and 1. But, when I create a new Windows Forms application using my sample compiler, the MSDOS window also appears, and if I close the DOS window, my WinForms app closes too. • nServiceBus - No all commands being received by handler

  In a test project based of the nServiceBus pub/sub sample, I've replace the bus.publish with bus.send in the server. The server sends 50 messages with a 1sec wait after each 5 (ie 10 burst of 5 messages). The client does not get all the messages. The soln has 3 projects - Server, Client, and common messages. The server and client are hosted via the nServiceBus generic host. Only a single bus is defined. Both client and server are configured to use StructureMap builder and BinarySerialisation. • Converting non-delimited text into name/value pairs in Delphi

  I've got a text file that arrives at my application as many lines of the following form: <row amount="192.00" store="10" transaction_date="2009-10-22T12:08:49.640" comp_name="blah " comp_ref="C65551253E7A4589A54D7CCD468D8AFA" name="Accrington "/> and I'd like to turn this 'row' into a series of name/value pairs in a given TStringList (there could be dozens of these <row>s in the file, so eventually I will want to iterate through the file breaking each row into name/value pairs in turn). The problem I've got is that the data isn't obviously delimited (technically, I suppose it's space delimited). Now if it wasn't for the fact that some of the values contain leading or trailing spaces, I could probably make a few reasonable assumptions and code something to break a row up based on spaces. But as the values themselves may or may not contain spaces, I don't see an obvious way to do this. Delphi' TStringList.CommaText doesn't help, and I've tried playing around with Delimiter but I get caught-out by the spaces inside the values each time. • How can I use PHP Mail() function within PHP-FPM? On Nginx?

  I have searched everywhere for this and I really want to resolve this. In the past I just end up using an SMTP service like SendGrid for PHP and a mailing plugin like SwiftMailer. However I want to use PHP. Basically my setup (I am new to server setup, and this is my personal setup following a tutorial) Nginx Rackspace Cloud PHP 5.3 PHP-FPM Ubuntu 11.04 My phpinfo() returns this about the Mail entries: mail.log no value mail.add_x_header On mail.force_extra_parameters no value sendmail_from no value sendmail_path /usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i SMTP localhost smtp_port 25 Can someone help me to as why Mail() will not work - my script is working on all other sites, it is a normal mail command. Do I need to setup logs or enable some PHP port on the server? • Algorithm for finding the best routes for food distribution in game

  Hello, I'm designing a city building game and got into a problem. Imagine Sierra's Caesar III game mechanics: you have many city districts with one market each. There are several granaries over the distance connected with a directed weighted graph. The difference: people (here cars) are units that form traffic jams (here goes the graph weights). Note: in Ceasar game series, people harvested food and stockpiled it in several big granaries, whereas many markets (small shops) took food from the granaries and delivered it to the citizens. The task: tell each district where they should be getting their food from while taking least time and minimizing congestions on the city's roads. Map example Sample diagram Suppose that yellow districts need 7, 7 and 4 apples accordingly. Bluish granaries have 7 and 11 apples accordingly. Suppose edges weights to be proportional to their length. Then, the solution should be something like the gray numbers indicated on the edges. Eg, first district gets 4 apples from the 1st and 3 apples from the 2nd granary, while the last district gets 4 apples from only the 2nd granary. Here, vertical roads are first occupied to the max, and then the remaining workers are sent to the diagonal paths. Question What practical and very fast algorithm should I use? I was looking at some papers (Congestion Games: Optimization in Competition etc.) describing congestion games, but could not get the big picture. Any help is very appreciated! P. S. • Create a menu in a perspective in Eclipse

  Hi. I am developing an Eclipse plug-in and I'd like to associate a new menu (at the top of the screen along with File, Edit etc) with a perspective I'm creating. I did the menu ok but it is being displayed even in other perspectives. How can I associate it only with my perspective? • Wordpress XML-RPC call from Objective C: wp.newComment

  I'm using Eric Czarny's Cocoa XML-RPC framework to make a call to the Wordpress API's. I've downloaded the sample app from Wordpress which gives some good examples. Unfortunately the good examples are for every call EXCEPT wp.newComment. I'm trying to post a comment using the code below and I keep getting an error with a localized description that tells me to check my input parameters. I've checked and rechecked and I don't understand what is wrong. Any ideas?
