  • jQuery UI datepicker will not display - full code included

    I am having trouble displaying the jQuery datepicker as shown here: http://jqueryui.com/demos/datepicker/ I believe I downloaded all of the proper files, but to be certain, I started from scratch and ripped the demo site. Not all of it, but what I believed to be the important parts. The result is no datepicker to be shown and no javascript errors.     Hello colleagues, Small preamble. I was good java developer on 1.4 jdk. After it I have switched to another platforms, but here I come with problem so question is strongly about jdk 1.6 (or higher :) ). I have 3 coupled class, the nature of coupling concerned with native methods. Bellow is example of this 3 class public interface A { public void method(); } final class AOperations { static native method(. . .); } public class AImpl implements A { @Override public void method(){ AOperations.method( . . . ); } } So there is interface A, that is implemented in native way by AOperations, and AImpl just delegates method call to native methods. These relations are auto-generated. Everything ok, but I have stand before problem. Sometime interface like A need expose iterator capability. I can affect interface, but cannot change implementation (AImpl). Saying in C# I could be able resolve problem by simple partial: (C# sample) partial class AImpl{ ... //here comes auto generated code } partial class AImpl{ ... //here comes MY implementation of ... //Iterator } So, has java analogue of partial or something like.

  • How to implement menuitems that depend on current selection in WPF MVVM explorer-like application

    I am new to WPF and MVVM, and I am working on an application utilizing both. The application is similar to windows explorer, so consider an app with a main window with menu (ShellViewModel), a tree control (TreeViewModel), and a list control (ListViewModel). I want to implement menu items such as Edit - Delete, which deletes the currently selected item (which may be in the tree or in the list). I am using Josh Smith's RelayCommand, and binding the menuitem to a DeleteItemCommand in the ShellViewModel is easy. It seems like implementing the DeleteItemCommand, however, requires some fairly tight coupling between the ShellViewModel and the two child view models (TreeViewModel and ListViewModel) to keep track of the focus/selection and direct the action to the proper child for implementation. That seems wrong to me, and makes me think I'm missing something. Writing a focus manager and/or selection manager to do the bookkeeping does not seem too hard, and could be done without coupling the classes together. The windowing system is already keeping track of which view has the focus, and it seems like I'd be duplicating code. What I'm not sure about is how I would route the command from the ShellViewModel down to either the ListViewModel or the TreeViewModel to do the actual work without making a mess of the code. Some day, the application will be extended to include more than two children, and I want the shell to be as ignorant of the children as possible to make that extension as painless as possible. Looking at some sample WPF/MVVM applications (Karl Shifflett's CipherText, Josh Smith's MVVM Demo, etc.), I haven't seen any code that does this (or I didn't understand it). Regardless of whether you think my approach is way off base or I'm just missing a small nuance, please share your thoughts and help me get back on track. Thanks!

  • Why does my GridSplitter not work at all?

    I'm migrating a WinForms app to WPF. Everything has gone well so far except in relation to my attempts to use GridSplitter which I can never seam to make resize anything at run-time. To make sure it wasn't just my code I attempted to compile the GridSplitter sample from LearnWPF.com and it doesn't appear to work either. I am expecting to see the standard resize cursor when I mouse over the splitter which doesn't happen, and as far as I can see there is no other visual representation of the splitter in the window either.   • How can I get the mapi system stub dll to pass extended mapi calls to my dll?

    For various reasons (questioning the reasons is not helpful to me), I'd like to implement my own extended mapi dll for windows xp. I have a skeleton dll now, just a few entrypoints exist for testing, but the system mapi stub (c:\windows\system32\mapi32.dll, I've checked that it's identical to mapistub.dll) will not pass through calls to my dll, while it happily passes the same calls through to MS Outlook's msmapi32.dll, (MAPIInitialize, MAPILoginEx are two such calls). There's some secret handshake between the stub and the extended mapi dll wherein the stub checks that "yup, it's an extended mapi dll": maybe it's the presence of some additional entrypoints I haven't implemented yet, maybe it's the return value from some function, I don't know. I've tried tracing a sample app I wrote that calls MAPIInitialize with STraceNT and ProcessMonitor but that didn't show anything obvious. Tracing has shown that indeed the stub loads my dll, but then finds the secret sauce is missing apparently, and returns an error code instead of calling my dll's function. What more could be needed for calling MAPIInitialize than the presence of MAPIInitialize in my dll's exports table? GetProcAddress says it's there. What I'd like to know is how to minimally extend my skeleton extended mapi dll so that the stub mapi dll will pass through extended mapi calls to my dll. What's the secret sauce? I'd rather not spend a painful week in msvc reverse engineering the stub behavior.

It runs fine from the command line and also interprets the 'cycle' argument fine. When it runs in cron it runs fine, however, the process never dies and while each process doesn't continue to cycle the system it does seem to be looping in some way due to the fact that it ups my system load very quickly.   • Orthogonal projection and texture coordinates in opengl

    I'm writing a 2D game in Opengl. I already set up the orthogonal projection so I can easily know where a quad will end up on screen. The problem is, I also want to be able to map pixels directly to texture coords, so I also applied an orthogonal transformation (using gluOrtho2d) to the texture. Now I can map pixels directly using integers and glTexCoord2i. The thing is, after googling/reading/asking, I found out no one really knows (apparently) the behavior of glTexCoord2i, but it works just fine the way I'm using. My Intention: To call window.opener.myObject method that is going to retrieve some data using ajax and pass in callback function that live as nested function in popup window that initiated call that is going to handle response data and modify popup window html accordingly. I'm passing in popup window function that is going to handle response and it works with ff and safari but not with ie. The whole lot is then returned as a string and written to the output. The question(s) I have are: 1) Is there a nicer way to do this other than using large string blocks? We've considered using a StringBuilder or the Response Stream but it seems quite 'noisy'. Using string.format starts to become difficult to comprehend. 2) How would you go about unit testing this code? It seems a little amateur just doing a string comparison looking for particular output in the string. 3) What about actually testing the eventual JavaScript output? Thanks for your input!

    Problem background Imagine this problem. You have a water molecule which is in contact with other molecules (if the contact is a hydrogen bond, there can be 4 other molecules around my water). Like in the following picture (A, B, C, D are some other atoms and dots mean the contact). A B . . O / \ H H . . C D I have the information about all the dots and I need to eliminate the water in the center and create records describing contacts of A-C, A-D, A-B, B-C, B-D, and C-D. Database structure Currently, I have the following structure in the database: Table atoms: "id" integer PRIMARY KEY, "amino" char(3) NOT NULL, (HOH for water or other value) other columns identifying the atom Table contacts: "acceptor_id" integer NOT NULL, (the atom near to my hydrogen, here C or D) "donor_id" integer NOT NULL, (here A or B) "directness" char(1) NOT NULL, (this should be D for direct and W for water-mediated) other columns about the contact, such as the distance Current solution (insufficient) Now, I'm going through all the contacts which have donor.amino = "HOH". In this sample case, this would select contacts from C and D. For each of these selected contacts, I look up contacts having the same acceptor_id as is the donor_id in the currently selected contact. From this information, I create the new contact. At the end, I delete all contacts to or from HOH. This way, I am obviously unable to create C-D and A-B contacts (the other 4 are OK). If I try a similar approach - trying to find two contacts having the same donor_id, I end up with duplicate contacts (C-D and D-C). Is there a simple way to retrieve all six contacts without duplicates? I'm dreaming about some one page long SQL query which retrievs just these six wanted rows. :-) It is preferable to conserve information about who is donor where possible, but not strictly necessary.   • DSP - Filtering frequencies using DFT

    I'm trying to implement a DFT-based 8-band equalizer for the sole purpose of learning. To prove that my DFT implementation works I fed an audio signal, analyzed it and then resynthesized it again with no modifications made to the frequency spectrum. So far so good. I'm using the so-called 'standard way of calculating the DFT' which is by correlation. This method calculates the real and imaginary parts both N/2 + 1 samples in length. To attenuate a frequency I'm just doing: float atnFactor = 0.6; Re[k] *= atnFactor; Im[k] *= atnFactor; where 'k' is an index in the range 0 to N/2, but what I get after resynthesis is a slighty distorted signal, especially at low frequencies. The input signal sample rate is 44.1 khz and since I just want a 8-band equalizer I'm feeding the DFT 16 samples at a time so I have 8 frequency bins to play with. Can someone show me what I'm doing wrong? I tried to find info on this subject on the internet but couldn't find any. Thanks in advance.

It's a Simple Operation, Which Pass Input/Output FilePath to Interop dll ...& dll will execute text form input file. To Improve Performace I have Tried, Execute 2 therad to process 32 files.(each Thread process 16 files) Execute application code by creating 2 new AppDomains(each AppDomain Code process 16 files) Execute Code Using TPL(Task Parellel Library) But all options take around same time (32 sec) to process 32 files.Manually process tooks same 32 sec to process 32 files. Just tried one thing ..when i have created sample exe to process 16 files as input & output for refrence PAth given in TextBox. ..I open 2 exe instance to process. 1 exe has differnt 16 input files & output Created with input file path 2 exe has differnt 16 input files & output Created with input file path When i click on start button of both exe ..it use 100% cpu & Utilize both core significantly & Process Completed within 16 sec for 32 files. Can we provide this kind of explicit prallism to Improve my applicaiton Peformace? Thanks.

  • Storing high precision latitude/longitude numbers in iOS Core Data

    I'm trying to store Latitude/Longitudes in core data. These end up being anywhere from 6-20 digit precision. And for whatever reason, i had them as floats in Core Data, its rounding them and not giving me the exact values back. I tried "decimal" type, with no luck either. Are NSStrings my only other option?     I'm working on a web page (ASP.NET 4.0) and am just starting simple to try and get this ajax call working (I'm an ajax/jQuery neophyte) and I'm getting an error on the call.     I need to design a table for daily sales of pharmaceutical products. There are hundreds of types of products available {Name, code}. Thousands of sales-persons are employed to sell those products{name, code}. They collect products from different depots{name, code}. They work in different Areas - Zones - Markets - Outlets, etc. {All have names and codes} Each product has various types of prices {Production Price, Trade Price, Business Price, Discount Price, etc.}. And, sales-persons are free to choose from those combination to estimate the sales price. The problem is, daily sales requires huge amount of data-entry. Within couple of years there may be gigabytes of data (if not terabytes). If I need to show daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly sales reports there will be various types of sql queries I shall need. This is my initial design: Product {ID, Code, Name, IsActive} ProductXYZPriceHistory {ID, ProductID, Date, EffectDate, Price, IsCurrent} SalesPerson {ID, Code, Name, JoinDate, and so on..., IsActive} SalesPersonSalesAraeaHistory {ID, SalesPersonID, SalesAreaID, IsCurrent} Depot {ID, Code, Name, IsActive} Outlet {ID, Code, Name, AreaID, IsActive} AreaHierarchy {ID, Code, Name, PrentID, AreaLevel, IsActive} DailySales {ID, ProductID, SalesPersonID, OutletID, Date, PriceID, SalesPrice, Discount, etc...} Now, apart from indexing, how can I normalize my DailySales table to have a fine grained design that I shall not need to change for years to come? Please show me a sample design of only the DailySales data-entry table (from which all types of reports would be queried) on the basis of above information. I don't need a detailed design advice. I just need an advice regarding only the DailySales table. Is there any way to break this particular table to achieve granularity?

  • Linq 2 SQL Store inherited classes - not mapped to tables in the database

    Hi. I'm trying to introduce the Linq2SQL technique into the project and have encountered the following issue: I've created ORM classes based on the Northwind database. In some other application I create several classes derived from the Linq2SQL classes. I'm able to add such a class to EntitySet but the application fails to submit changes. Is there any way around this?   • spring 3 uploadify giving 404 Error

    I am using Spring 3 and implementing Uploadify. The problem is, the files are updating properly but it is giving HTTP Error 404, on completion of file upload. I tried every possible solution, but none of them works. The files are uploaded. Values are storing in DB properly, only that i am getting HTTP Error 404.     I am writing a program that reads the data from the serial port on Linux. The data are sent by another device with the following frame format: |start | Command | Data | CRC | End | |0x02 | 0x41 | (0-127 octets) | | 0x03| ---------------------------------------------------- The Data field contains 127 octets as shown and octet 1,2 contains one type of data; octet 3,4 contains another data.     According to their release notes, the Xerial SQLite JDBC driver supports foreign keys since version 3.6.20.1. I have tried some time now to get a foreign key constraint to be enforced, but to no avail.     I'm fairly new with PHP and I am messing around with a login/registration system. On the registration page the form links to my "register.php" which checks the validity of the form and to check for any blank fields and so on. "register.php" is supposed to refresh the page and add a reason to what the user did wrong when submitting the form. On my "register_form.php" page, which holds the actual form. This field is hidden until the user makes a mistake. <?php if (isset($reg_error)) { ?> , please try again. My "register.php" checks the form for all the errors. Here's the bit of code that will refresh the page with the reason for the error: // Check if any of the fields are missing if (empty($_POST['username']) || empty($_POST['password']) || empty($_POST['confirmpass'])) { // Reshow the form with an error $reg_error = 'One or more fields missing'; include 'register_form.php'; Now after I submit the form without any fields filled out I get the error code, but it refreshes to the actual "register_form.php". The problem with this is that because of my PHP-SWITCH script (helps me manage the site a lot easier) I don't have any formatting on that page. The actual URL to my "register_form.php" would be: "index.php?id=register_form.php". Now I have tried several different things such as changing it to: include 'index.php?id=register_form.php' And also changing it to: header(location:index.php?id=register_form.php') Unfortunately all this does is refresh the page without the reason for the error. I know this can be easily solved by just adding a Javascript Validator but I'd like to know if it is possible to refresh the page with the error using either "include" or "header()" while having a PHP-SWITCH script on the website.

    Hello, I'd like to use NUnit to run unit tests in my plug-in, but it needs to be run in the context of my application. To solve this, I was trying to develop a plug-in that runs NUnit, which in turn will execute my tests in the application's context. I didn't find a specific documentation on this subject so I dug a piece of information here and there and I came out with the following piece of code (which is similar to one I found here in StackOverflow): SimpleTestRunner runner = new SimpleTestRunner(); TestPackage package = new TestPackage( "Test" ); string loc = Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().Location package.Assemblies.Add( loc ); if( runner.Load(package) ) { TestResult result = runner.Run( new NullListener() ); } The result variable says "has no TestFixture" although I know for sure it is there. In fact my test file contains two test. Using another approach I found, which is summarized by the following code: TestSuiteBuilder builder = new TestSuiteBuilder(); TestSuite testSuite = builder.Build( package ); // Run tests TestResult result = testSuite.Run( new NullListener(), NUnit.Core.TestFilter.Empty ); I saw nunit data structures with only 1 test and I had the same error. For sake of completeness, I am using the latest version of nunit, which is 2.5.5.10112. Does anyone know what I'm missing? A sample code would be appreciated. thanks

  • Python - Open default mail client using mailto, with multiple recipients

    Hi, I'm attempting to write a Python function to send an email to a list of users, using the default installed mail client. I want to open the email client, and give the user the opportunity to edit the list of users or the email body. I did some searching, and according to here: http://www.sightspecific.com/~mosh/WWW_FAQ/multrec.html It's apparently against the RFC spec to put multiple comma-delimited recipients in a mailto link. However, that's the way everybody else seems to be doing it. What exactly is the modern stance on this? Anyhow, I found the following two sites: http://2ality.blogspot.com/2009/02/generate-emails-with-mailto-urls-and.html http://www.megasolutions.net/python/invoke-users-standard-mail-client-64348.aspx which seem to suggest solutions using urllib.parse (url.parse.quote for me), and webbrowser.open. I tried the sample code from the first link (2ality.blogspot.com), and that worked fine, and opened my default mail client. However, when I try to use the code in my own module, it seems to open up my default browser, for some weird reason. No funny text in the address bar, it just opens up the browser. The email_incorrect_phone_numbers() function is in the Employees class, which contains a dictionary (employee_dict) of Employee objects, which themselves have a number of employee attributes (sn, givenName, mail etc.).
