  • PHP Header redirection problem within page called by cURL

    - by Das123
    I have a site that uses cURL to access some pages, stores the returned results in variables, and then uses these variables within its own page. The script works well except where the target cURL page has a header('Location: ...') command inside it. It seems to just ignore this header command. The cURL command is as follows... //Load result page into variable so portions can be allocated to correct variables $ch = curl_init(); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url); # URL to post to curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1 ); # return into a variable curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, 0); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, true); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $postfields); $loaded_result = curl_exec( $ch ); # run! curl_close($ch); I've tried changing the CURLOPT_HEADER to 1 but it doesn't do anything. So how can I allow script redirection within the target urls using cURL to grab the results? By the way, the pages work fine if accessed other than via cURL but iFrames are not an option in this instance.

  • An issue on object orientation in php

    - by rabidmachine9
    Hello people, I have come up to issues while I'm trying to write some classes, here is an example: I have this class called TwitterGrub and I cant call it like that: $c = new TwitterGrub(); $c->twitterDisplay(); here is the class itself: <?php class TwitterGrub{ function twitterCapture($user = 'username',$password = 'pass') { $ch = curl_init("https://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline.xml"); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, 1); curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_TIMEOUT, 30); curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_USERPWD,$user . ":" . $password); curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER,1); curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, 0); curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST, 0); $result=curl_exec ($ch); $data = strstr($result, '<?'); $xml = new SimpleXMLElement($data); return $xml; } function twitterDisplay($twitNum = 2){ $xml = $this::twitterCapture(); for($i= 0; $i<$twitNum; $i++){ echo "<div class= 'curvebox'>".$xml->status[$i]->text."</div>"; } } } ?> The problem is that everytime I want to change the username or password I have to jump back to class definition and that makes things not modular... and in many ways it feels wrong. So the question is what would be the proper way to chance my username and password through the objects interface and then call twitterDisplay() method with the new data?Hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance

  • Working with a string as an array of characters

    - by Malfunction
    I'm having some trouble with a string represented as an array of characters. What I'd like to do, as I would do in java, is the following: while (i < chars.length) { char ch = chars[i]; if ((WORD_CHARS.indexOf(ch) >= 0) == punctuation) { String token = buffer.toString(); if (token.length() > 0) { parts.add(token); } buffer = new StringBuffer(); } buffer.append(ch); i++; } What I'm doing is something like this: while(i < strlen(chars)) { char ch = chars[i]; if(([WORD_CHARS rangeOfString:ch] >= 0) == punctuation) { NSString *token = buffer.toString(); if([token length] > 0) { [parts addObject:token]; } buffer = [NSMutableString string]; } [buffer append(ch)]; i++; } I'm not sure how I'm supposed to convert String token = buffer.toString(); to objective c, where buffer is an NSMutableString. Also, how do I check this if condition in objective c? if ((WORD_CHARS.indexOf(ch) >= 0) == punctuation) WORD_CHARS is an NSString. I'm also having trouble with appending ch to buffer. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • SATA errors reported during boot: exception Emask 0x40 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x80800 action 0x0

    - by digby280
    I have noticed some error during the Linux boot. They seem to continue to occur after the boot adding lines to the log every few seconds. Once booted this normally does not appear to be causing any problems. However, around 1 in 10 boots results in a kernel panic and the computer has on two or three occasions suddenly rebooted after being powered on for a number of hours. I presume the cause of the reboot is a kernel panic as well. I am running Ubuntu 11.10 and I have had Ubuntu installed on the computer for around a year. I have googled around and not found anything useful. I have provided the kernel log lines and the output of smartctl. Can anyone explain exactly what these errors mean, or better still how to resolve them?

  • Can't get tokens when using OAuth with LinkedIn API

    - by Angela
    Hi, was wondering if anyone can help me to get this basic OAuth implementation to work using the LinkedIn API: The output for the indexes oauth_token and oauth_token_secret are blank. The file I refer to in OAuth.php are a set of classes to help generate the token requests and tokens. That file is here: http://www.easy-share.com/1909603316/OAuth.php <?php session_start(); require_once("OAuth.php"); $app_token = "YOUR APP TOKEN GOES HERE"; $app_key = "YOUR APP KEY GOES HERE"; $domain = "https://api.linkedin.com/uas/oauth"; $sig_method = new OAuthSignatureMethod_HMAC_SHA1(); $test_consumer = new OAuthConsumer($app_token, $app_key, NULL); $callback = "http://".$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'].$_SERVER['PHP_SELF']."?action=getaccesstoken"; # First time through, get a request token from LinkedIn. if (!isset($_GET['action'])) { $req_req = OAuthRequest::from_consumer_and_token($test_consumer, NULL, "POST", $domain . "/requestToken"); $req_req->set_parameter("oauth_callback", $callback); # part of OAuth 1.0a - callback now in requestToken $req_req->sign_request($sig_method, $test_consumer, NULL); $ch = curl_init(); // make sure we submit this as a post curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, ''); //New Line curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, 0); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER,array ( $req_req->to_header() )); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $domain . "/requestToken"); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, 1); $output = curl_exec($ch); curl_close($ch); print_r($req_req); //<---- add this line print("$output\n"); //<---- add this line parse_str($output, $oauth); # pop these in the session for now - there's probably a more secure way of doing this! We'll need them when the callback is called. $_SESSION['oauth_token'] = $oauth['oauth_token']; $_SESSION['oauth_token_secret'] = $oauth['oauth_token_secret']; echo("token: " . $oauth['oauth_token']); echo("secret: " . $oauth['oauth_token_secret']); exit;

  • php cURL POST how to follow location

    - by webfac
    Hi Guys, I am in a bit of a rut with a cURL issue. The post works greate, the data is POSTED just fine and received ok, but the url of the posted page never appears in the browser after the cURL session is executed, for example look at the following code: $ch = curl_init("http://localhost/eterniti/cart-step-1.php"); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, false); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, true); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, "error=1&em=$em&fname=$fname&lname=$lname&email1=$email1&email2=$email2&code=$code&area=$area&number=$num&mobile=$mobile&address1=$address1&address2=$address2&address3=$address3&suburb=$suburb&postcode=$postcode&country=$country"); curl_exec($ch); curl_close($ch); The post works fine and I am taken to the cart-step-1.php where I can process the posted data, HOWEVER the location in the URL address bar of the browser remains that of the script page, in this case proc_xxxxxx.php Any ideas how to get the URL address to reflect the page I am actually POSTED to? Thanks a mill

  • Using Yii framework, what would be a right way to process an attribute before displaying it using CH

    - by Karolis
    Say I have this line of code in the view. <?php echo CHtml::activeTextField($model,'start_time'); ?> start_time is a UNIX timestamp. When just displaying it in a view I can apply functions like date() on it. Where should I apply the formatting when I'm displaying it in a form, by using the above line of code? (This case of timestamps/dates might be special, but I'm also interested in how would one go about if it wasn't a date and I just want to work with "value in database" < "different representations of the value in different views. Thanks =)

  • Parallel CURL function Help .. php

    - by Webby
    Hello.. Firstly let me explain the code below is just a tiny snippet of the code I'm using on the working site. Basically I'm hoping someone can help me rewrite just the function below to enable parallel CURL calls... that way it will fit nicely into the existing code without me having to rewrite the whole from the ground up like some of the samples I've been finding today any ideas? function get_data($url) { $ch = curl_init(); $timeout = 5; curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_URL,$url); curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER,1); curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT,5); $data = curl_exec($ch); curl_close($ch); return $data; } p.s. $url goes through a huge bunch of urls in a loop already so I'd hole to keep that intact.. Help always appreciated and rewarded

    - by user61629
    I am working with PHP/CURL and would like to send POST data to my phantomjs script, by setting the postfields array below: In my php controller I have: $data=array('first' => 'John', 'last' => 'Smith'); $url='http://localhost:7788/'; $output = $this->my_model->get_data($url,$data); In my php model I have: public function get_data($url,$postFieldArray) { $ch = curl_init(); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_COOKIEJAR, $cookieFile); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION, TRUE); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, TRUE); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_USERAGENT, "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.0)"); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, TRUE); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $postFieldArray); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url); $output = curl_exec($ch); In my phantomJS script that I am running locally I have: // import the webserver module, and create a server var server = require('webserver').create(); var port = require('system').env.PORT || 7788; console.log("Start Application"); console.log("Listen port " + port); // Create serever and listen port server.listen(port, function(request, response) { // Print some information Just for debbug console.log("We got some requset !!!"); console.log("request method: ", request.method); // request.method POST or GET if(request.method == 'POST' ){ console.log("POST params should be next: "); console.log("POST params: ",request.post); exit; } I first start and run the phantomjs script (myscript.js) from the command line, then I run my php script. I was expecting something more like: first' => 'John', 'last' => 'Smith Can someone explain why it looks this way? How can I parse the request.post object to assign to variables inside myscript.js

If I change the code within the foreach loop to echo $album->name; it shows nothing at all. What am I doing wrong?
