- by Simon
I may be going mental, but I can not find any api reference material for nhibernate. I've found plenty of manuals, tutorials, ebooks etc but no api reference. I saw the chm file on the nhibernate sourceforge page, but it doesn't seem to work on any of my PCs (different OSes) Can someone please point me in the right direction?

• Is there a java api to access bugzilla?

- by Mauli
Is there a (standalone!) java api which wraps the XML-RPC interface to bugzilla? I don't want to program my own api for it, and I can't actually find a library which does this (and only this). Update: I'm looking for something like this http://oss.dbc.dk/bugzproxy/ only written in Java

I know there are a lot of API for the web, but I was wondering what the best solution is for a desktop application. I know of Bing Maps and I believe there are some Google Maps solutions out there as well. Any help or information on good mapping API's would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

When using reflection we typically just was the basic System.Reflection API but I am wondering if anyone know of a nice "wrapper" layer or API that has a more "schema style" approach? (e.g. kind of like a code generators DB schema view)

• Right way to access the Google Cloud Storage bucket via Public API

- by SyBer
I'm trying the following request to access the bucket by using curl, via the public API: curl -X POST -H 'Content-Type: image/jpeg' -d @xxx.jpeg 'https://www.googleapis.com/upload/storage/v1/b/clips.eyecam.com/o?uploadType=media&name=x.jpeg&key=XXX' With XXX being the generated key in the Public API. However I'm getting an authorization failure: { "error": { "errors": [ { "domain": "global", "reason": "required", "message": "Login Required", "locationType": "header", "location": "Authorization" } ], "code": 401, "message": "Login Required" } } Seems the request is incorrect and does not pass the authorization key, any idea what would be the right form of the request?

• Private API and SMS content URI's on Android

- by Shadow
Without accessing private API's to get Content URI's, etc. for SMS, how are we expected to query this data? I am currently in the process of writing my own SMS app and I want to stay as compatible as possible. Without storing the information myself in my own database (such that I can store the text messages so that other programs can access the data when/if they delete my app) and without using private API's how the heck are we suppose to query SMS data?

• Google Maps API v3 show local businesses/points of interest

- by julio
I know at some point I'd come across a Google service built into their API that would provide local information as markers on the viewport (schools, hospitals, etc.)-- I believe this was a simple control that could be added just like the normal map controls, to allow users to turn it on or off with a checkbox or button. I can't seem to find this feature documented anywhere in the v3.0 API docs. Can anyone provide some information on this, or let me know if it was deprecated? Thanks

• Facebook API, export group wall entries

- by Guy David
After trying to find a reference to an API/tutorial to such thing, I have come here. I would like to scan a specific group wall, pulling all posts from it, with PHP or C#. In the end, I would like to have a nested-array containing each posts, with the next details: An array of the related comments Likes Views Obviously, I don't ask for any code, only a reference to the related API I will need to use. EDIT: If this is not possible, should I consider cURL as an option?

• How do I access the system tray?

- by Jon
So I'm messing around with Natty a little, and I noticed that all the apps that would normally use the system tray (or "notification area"?) aren't displaying there. Is that a bug, or is that the way it's going to be? I heard something about Ubuntu getting rid of that feature entirely. Is there a way to add it back? I mean, I didn't really like it, either, especially when there were apps that used it unnecessarily, but I can't use CryptKeeper at all now, or easycrypt, and I don't know whether Dropbox has synced without opening Nautilus.

• GMail API for a small app (Rails? Javascript? PHP?)

- by kurtybot
I want to create an app that accesses the GMail API, but I'm finding that it isn't as simple as I thought it might be. I'm hoping somebody in the community here might have some experience working with one of these API's and could not only recommend the right solution, but also show me to some tutorials or examples that could help me get up and running. Here are some of the requirements of this app: Preferably in Rails or Javascript or even PHP. I am open to other technologies as well, but hope they'd be easy to implement. Connects to gmail via Oauth Can read who emails have been sent to and received from. Basically would like to perform some analytics on who emails are sent to, when and how frequently. I've read that one reason why this isn't easy, and why there isn't an official javascript API provided by gmail, is that google is concerned it's going to make their service less performant for their users.

• Extending AutoVue Through the API

- by GrahamOracle
The AutoVue API (previously called the “VueBean” API) is a great way to extend AutoVue Client/Server Deployment – specifically the client component – beyond the out-of-the-box capabilities and into new use-cases. In addition to having a solid grasp of J2SE programming, make sure to leverage the following resources if you’re developing or interested in developing customizations/extensions to AutoVue Client/Server Deployment: Programmer’s Guide: Before all else, read through the AutoVue API Programmer’s Guide to get an understanding of the architecture of the API. The Programmer’s Guide is included with the installation of AutoVue, and is posted on the Oracle Technology Network (OTN) website for the recent versions of AutoVue: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/documentation/autovue-091442.html Javadocs: The AutoVue API Javadocs document the many packages, classes, and methods available to you. The Javadocs are included in the product installation under the \docs\JavaDocs\VueBean folder (easiest starting point is through the file index.html). Integrations Forum: If you have development questions that aren’t answered through the documentation, feel free to register and post in the public AutoVue Integrations Forum. For more information refer to the following blog post from October 2010: https://blogs.oracle.com/enterprisevisualization/entry/exciting_news_autovue_integrat Code Samples: Although the Oracle Support team’s scope of Support for API/customization topics is to answer questions regarding information already provided in the documentation (i.e. not to design or develop custom solutions), there are cases where Support comes across interesting samples or code snippets that may benefit various customers. In those cases, our Support team posts the samples into the Oracle knowledge base, and tracks them through a single reference note. The link to the KM Note depends on how you currently access the My Oracle Support portal: Flash interface: https://support.oracle.com/CSP/main/article?cmd=show&type=NOT&doctype=REFERENCE&id=1325990.1 (New) HTML interface: https://supporthtml.oracle.com/epmos/faces/ui/km/SearchDocDisplay.jspx?type=DOCUMENT&id=1325990.1 Happy coding!

• Sitecore Item Web API and Json.Net Test Drive (Part II –Strongly Typed)

- by jonel
In the earlier post I did related to this topic, I have talked about using Json.Net to consume the result of Sitecore Item Web API. In that post, I have used the keyword dynamic to express my intention of consuming the returned json of the API. In this article, I will create some useful classes to write our implementation of consuming the API using strongly-typed. We will start of with the Record class which will hold the top most elements the API will present us. Pretty straight forward class. It has 2 properties to hold the statuscode and the result elements. If you intend to use a different property name in your class from the json property, you can do so by passing a string literal of the json property name to the JsonProperty attribute and name your class property differently. If you look at the earlier post, you will notice that the API returns an array of items that contains all of the Sitecore content item or items and stores them under the result->items array element. To be able to map that array of items, we have to write a collection property and decorate that with the JsonProperty attribute. The JsonItem class is a simple class which will map to the corresponding item property contained in the array. If you notice, these properties are just the basic Sitecore fields. And here’s the main portion of this post that will binds them all together. And here’s the output of this code. In closing, the same result can be achieved using the dynamic keyword or defining classes to map the json propery returned by the Sitecore Item Web API. With a little bit more of coding, you can take advantage of power of strongly-typed solution. Have a good week ahead of you.

• Having trouble setting up API call using array of parameters

- by Josh
I am building a class to send API calls to Rapidshare and return the results of said call. Here's how I want the call to be done: $rs = new rs(); $params = array( 'sub' => 'listfiles_v1', 'type' => 'prem', 'login' => '10347455', 'password' => 'not_real_pass', 'realfolder' => '0', 'fields' => 'filename,downloads,size', ); print_r($rs->apiCall($params)); And here's the class so far: class RS { var $baseUrl = 'http://api.rapidshare.com/cgi-bin/rsapi.cgi?sub='; function apiCall($params) { $newUrl = $baseUrl; $keys = array_keys($params); $count = count($params); for($i = 0; $i < $count; $i++) { $newUrl .= $keys[$i]; $newUrl .= '&'; $newUrl .= $params[$keys[$i]]; } return $newUrl; } } Obviously i'm returning $newUrl and using print_r() to test the query string, and this is what it comes out as with the code shown above: sub&listfiles_v1type&premlogin&10347455password&_not_real_passrealfolder&0fields&filename,downloads,size When it should be: http://api.rapidshare.com/cgi-bin/rsapi.cgi?sub=listfiles_v1&type=prem&login=10347455&password=not_real_pass&realfolder=0&fields=filename,downloads,size Hopefully you can see what I'm trying to do here :P It's probably a silly mistake that I'm failing to find or a logical error. Thanks in advance.

• Retrieve JSON with stackoverflow API

- by ArtWorkAD
Hi, I want to retrieve the information of my stackoverflow profile as JSON using the api. So I use this link http:/api.stackoverflow.com/1.0/users/401025/. But when I make the request I get a file containing the JSON data. How do I deal with that file using javascript? Here is my code (http://jsfiddle.net/hJhfU/2/):

The alert is never fired and req.responseText seems to be empty. Any ideas?

• Unable to display Google Map through API in Flex SDK

- by Spero.ShiroPetto
Hello, I am using the mxmlc to compile the examples from google to get started in using Google Maps API in Flex 4. But after compiling the swf file the map does not load. I've registered for an API key Downloaded and included the Maps SDK in the xml config file used at compile time C:\sdk\flex4\frameworks\flex-config.xml <external-library-path> <path-element>libs/google/maps/lib/map_flex_1_18.swc</path-element> </external-library-path> Foo.mxml <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute"> <maps:Map xmlns:maps="com.google.maps.*" id="map" mapevent_mapready="onMapReady(event)" width="100%" height="100%" key="{KEY}"/> <mx:Script> import com.google.maps.LatLng; import com.google.maps.Map; import com.google.maps.MapEvent; import com.google.maps.MapType; private function onMapReady(event:Event):void { this.map.setCenter(new LatLng(40.736072,-73.992062), 14, MapType.NORMAL_MAP_TYPE); } </mx:Script> </mx:Application> Any tips on where to go from here? I can compile a basic flex project without problem and displays the components I put in so i'd imagine it's something to do with the API Key? Thanks for the help

• Biztalk vs API for databroker layer

- by jdt199
My company is about to undergo a large project in which our client wants a large customer portal with a cms, crm implementing. This will require interaction with data from multiple sources across our customers business, these sources include XML office backend systems, sql datbases, webservices etc. Our proposed solution would be to write an API in c# to provide a common interface with all these systems. This would be scalable for future and concurrent projects within the company. Our client expressed an interest in using Biztalk rather than a custom API for this integration, as they feel it is an enterprise solution that any of their suppliers could pick up and use, and it will be better supported. We feel that the configuration work using Biztalk would be rather heavy for all their custom business rules which are required and an interface for the new application to get data to and from Biztalk would still need to be written. Are we right to prefer a custom API solution above Biztalk? Would Biztalk be suitable as a databroker layer to provide an interface for the new Customer portal we are writing. We have not experience with using Biztalk before so any input would be appreciated.

• Google Reader API - feed/[FEEDURL]/ is coming back as Not found

- by JustinXXVII
There is one feed I'm subscribed to which always turns up as NOT FOUND when I try to use the API. I return an array of Dictionaries, containing 3 objects. The first in the list represents the user himself, like so: { FeedID = "user/MY_UNIQUE_NUMBER/state/com.google/reading-list"; Timestamp = 1273448807271463; Unread = 59; } The Unread count is very important. My client depends on downloading 59 items from Google before it refreshes. If a feed doesn't download properly, the count is off and the client won't update. An example of a working Feed is here: { FeedID = "feed/http://arstechnica.com/index.rssx"; Timestamp = 1273447158484528; Unread = 13; } The FeedID value combines with a specially formatted URL string and gives back a list of articles. The above example works fine. However, the following feed always returns NOT FOUND on Google, and if I paste the URL verbatim into a browser, it never turns up. See here: { FeedID = "feed/http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?feed=rss2"; Timestamp = 1273424138183529; Unread = 6; } http://www.google.com/reader/api/0/stream/contents/feed/http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?feed=rss2?ot=1&r=n&xt=user/-/state/com.google/read&n=6&ck=1273449028&client=testClient If you are at all proficient with the API, can you please help me? Like I said, since Google always says NOT FOUND when I search for that feed, my download count is off by N articles and won't update. I would rather not hack around it, honestly. Thanks!

• Facebook graph API post to user's wall

- by Lance
I'm using the FB graph api to post content to the user's wall. I orginally tried using this method: $wall_post = array(array('message' => 'predicted the', 'name' => 'predicted the'), array('message' => $winning_team, 'name' => $winning_team, 'link' => 'http://www.sportannica.com/teams.php?team='.$winning_team.'&year=2012'), array('message' => 'to beat the', 'name' => 'to beat the',), array('message' => $losing_team, 'name' => $losing_team, 'link' => 'http://www.sportannica.com/teams.php?team='.$losing_team.'&year=2012'), array('message' => 'on '.$game_date.'', 'name' => 'on '.$game_date.''), array('picture' => 'http://www.sportannica.com/img/team_icons/current_season_logos/large/'.$winning_team.'.png')); $res = $facebook->api('/me/feed/', 'post', '$wall_post'); But, much to my surprise, you can't post multiple links to a users wall. So, now I'm using the graph api to post content to a user's wall much like the way spotify does. So, now I've figured out that I need to create custom actions and objects with the open graph dashboard. So, I've created the "predict" action and gave it permission to edit the object "game." So, now I have the code: $facebook = new Facebook(array( 'appId' => 'appID', 'secret' => 'SECRET', 'cookie' => true )); $access_token = $facebook->getAccessToken(); $user = $facebook->getUser(); if($user != 0) { curl -F 'access_token='$.access_token.'' \ -F 'away_team=New York Yankees' \ -F 'home_team=New York Mets' \ -F 'match=http://samples.ogp.me/413385652011237' \ 'https://graph.facebook.com/me/predict-edit-add:predict' } I keep getting an error reading: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING Any ideas?
