    I'm using eclipse to build an ear file using ant. I'm using oc4j, and I want to make sure that orion-application.xml is included in the build.   • Why use ASP.NET MVC 2 for REST services? Why not WCF?

    So I see that MVC 2 now supports [HttpPut] and [HttpDelete] as well as [HttpGet] and [HttpPost], making it possible to do a full RESTful Web service using it. I've been using the REST toolkit for WCF for a while and find it fairly powerful, but I'd be interested to find out what (if any) advantages there are using the MVC 2 approach. Links, war stories, or even pure hear-say are welcome.

    I am trying to make an ant build file to remote copy a war file. Ant scp task uses a jsch library for remote copying. How do I make it work through a proxy, the jsch library clearly supports it. does not work for jsch. Jsch does not read environment variables like http_proxy is there another solution ?

  • Deploying CXF web service in weblogic 10.

    Earlier I used to create a war file out of web service and manually deploy it in weblogic. But now (somehow) weblogic doesn't recognize the web-service. Though the earlier jars continue to work. The WSDL's in both the cases are same. Any help would be welcome. But my question is how does weblogic find the web-service. Is it the WSDL or soemthing else?

    Please help meee. I create a project named 'tesdb3' in eclipse. I create the PHP side to access the database, and made the output as JSON.. I create the userdata.php in folder war. then I compile tesdb3 project. Folder tesdb3 and the userdata.php in war moved in local server(I use WAMP). I put the PHP in folder tesdb3.   • Exploded (unpacked) EAR vs. Packaged EAR file?

    In my office we use exploded EAR's (and inside them exploded WAR directories) for our test environments, and then a packaged one for production. I've yet to find a good explanation of the reason behind this though. I understand it's easier from a deployment perspective to push out a single file during builds, but it prevents us from doing things like property file changes without doing complete rebuilds (we could skip the compiles, but our environment currently binds the compile and jar processes together). What are the major advantages / disadvantages between these two configurations?

There is an adf folder created like so, inside the EAR, along with the WAR file and standard META-INF directory is this 'adf' directory: adf /com /companypackagehere bc4j.xcfg /META-INF adf-config.xml connections.xml Must I recreate this using file moves...?

    Hi I am writing a GWT app running on App Engine, which needs to modify a XML File serverside. As far as I know there is no way to modify a XML file in the WAR directory or any subdirectories. What other possibilities do I have to store that data? Can I use the Data Store somehow or should I look for storage space somewhere else and access it there (if so any recommendations?)?     I had been told to deploy a *.war file within tomcat and this application should be working fine. But for an unknown reason all I get is: System Exception: javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: ValidatorResources not found in application scope under key "org.apache.commons.validator.VALIDATOR_RESOURCES" I know that this application has been developed with STRUTS and I can obtain the source. But as I am not a specialist in this field, I come to ask for some help. Could you tell me what file could generate this exception please?
