• Terminal Server Install -- Add/Remove Program Message on NonAdministrator Machines

  First time poster... My company uses terminal services for one of our remote offices. Data is kept on a different server. OS is Windows Server 2003. Last week, they needed to purchase a program and have it installed on terminal server, which was done. An administrator session was started, the TS was put into install mode and the program was installed. The TS was then put back into execute mode. The install did not require a reboot. Since then, when any user who does not have administrator privileges initiates a remote session and logs in they get a security message that says "Add / Remove programs has been restricted. Please contact your system administrator." The only option is to click OK, which everyone does and after that there are no issues. Anyone have any idea why this is happening and how to fix? Thanks!

• IIS get full error message for failed requests

  I have IIS set-up and serving my webservice. Unfortunately if the webservice throws an exception, all I get is a blue box with the title failed request. What options do I have to actually see what went wrong? I'd prefer to get the exception message and a stack trace. I already set-up "Failed Request Tracing" but the directory remains empty. If possible I'd prefer to get the stack trace in the browser directly. Just if this matters: I have an IIS 7.5 on a Win 7 64 Pro box. The Webservice is a WCF C# project.

• Outlook 2007 inbox message grouping like the Web App

  The Outlook Web App has this nice, default, conversation grouping. It hides all earlier messages in a conversation from the message list. When I click a mail, it shows the conversation thread in the reading pane. In Outlook 2007 I have tried grouping on received date, but it groups by minutes and not days. I've also tried grouping by conversation, but then I get this ugly tree in the list pane and I loose the "today", "yesterday", and vice versa groups. So how do I make Outlook 2007 look like the Outlook Web App? Illustration

• Best suited tool to document message processing done in C written program

  I am relatively new to UML and it's seems to be very vast I have a small program which basically receives messages on socket and then depending upon message ID embedded as first byte of message it processes the buffer. There are around 5 different message ID which it processes and communicates on another socket and has around 8 major functions. So program in short is like this. I am not pasting entire .c file or main function but just giving some bits and pieces of it so that to get idea of program flow. int main(int argc, char** argv) { register_shared_mem(); listen(); while(get_next_message(buffer)) { switch((msg)(buffer)->id) { case TYPE1: process1(); answer(); ..... } } } I want to document this is pictorial way like for Message type 1 it calls this function which calls another and which calls another. Please let me know any open source tool which will allow me to quickly draw such kind of UML or sequence diagram and will also allow me to write brief description of what each function does? • Thunderbird message sorting - wrong dates

  Thunderbird 3 is having a problem with one of my IMAP accounts. When sorted by date, it displays 10-15 messages at the top (newest) when in fact they are very old message. (pre-2010, over a year old, some up to 6-7 years old) It's not game-breaking, but it is annoying, as I have to look past those to check for "new" messages. Is there any way to fix this? I'd considered re-downloading all the messages via IMAP, but that would take weeks (50,000 messages). When I open it, it displays the correct date, also when I use "View Source" the Date: header has the correct date (2009, 2006, etc). Is there any way to make Thunderbird realize that it should be sorted down with the rest of the 2006/2009 messages? None of my other IMAP accounts (many with the same host server) have this issue.

• Getting a Non-Genuine windows message on a Genuin Windows 7

  I have a Genuin Win7 enterprise on my Laptop. A few hours ago when I wanted to log into windows it did not accept my Password. I used the safe mode and it accepted the password I was using before this new password. It is the laptop for work and we have a changing password policy for every three months, so the pasword that I could use in SAFE MODE was the password I had for the last previous threee months. ... after that I used SYSTEM RESTORE and it reveretd it back to Yesterday ... so this time I could loging successfully with my current password. BUT It shows me a message that I am a victim of software counterfeiting and when I restarted the windows again and logged into windows, this time it is just a black desktop. weird...any ideas?

If I let other required fields empty then the message is displayed. Else, if this is the only field with an error, the message doesn`t get displayed. I want it to display the message and not save the form values.

  Say I create a text element like this: $firstName = new Zend_Form_Element_Text('firstName'); $firstName->setRequired(true); Whats the best way to change the default error message from: Value is empty, but a non-empty value is required to a custom message? I read somewhere that to replace the message, just use addValidator(..., instead (NO setRequired), like this: $firstName = new Zend_Form_Element_Text('firstName'); $firstName->addValidator('NotEmpty', false, array('messages'=>'Cannot be empty')); but in my testing, this doesn't work - it doesn't validate at all - it will pass with an empty text field. Using both (addValidator('NotEmp.. + setRequired(true)) at the same time doesn't work either - it double validates, giving two error messages. Any ideas? Thanks!

• Edit my message before posting in Twitter with Twitter API and PHP

  I am having a site and I want to add a button in my site that will link to the twitter login page and after login it will post a message to the Twitter home page of the user. I used this code: http://www.matpal.com/2010/12/oauth-access-token-in-twitter-api.html and it works fine. My problem is that before posting the message I want to be able to edit it. So after login I want to see my message in an editing input (like retween do,here: http://www.mobilemarketer.com/cms/news/search/10263.html ) and post it after clicking Tweet. • HOWTO: Deserialize WCF message using OperationContract

  Hi, I succeeded in building a WCF client generated by svcutil.exe from the WSDL. Using the generated client proxy class I can call the web service of an external service supplier. I also succeeded in coding a message inspector, as I need to log both raw XML request and response as full SOAP message to the database. For an emergency szenario I also need to be able to "import" a raw XML response. I found many hints on using XMLSerializer or deserializing WCF messages based on the message contract. But how can I deserialize a raw XML response based on an operation contract? For a first test I use one of the logged raw responses, save it to a file and now try to deserialize it to the response type as generated in the client proxy. Somehow I must succeed in calling DeserializeReply() from class ClientOperation. But how to get there? I happily acced any help as I'm quite new to WCF... TIA, Stefan

  Hi, I'm looking for a way to display a message to the user if he leaves my site after only viewing one page. But when I try to create proxies through "Add Service References", I am getting the duplicate proxy classes. If I take out the above OperationContract and re run my services and try to create proxies, then "Add Service References" does not provide duplicate proxies. I am really confused about this!!! The service acts as a wrapper around the legacy app allowing users to automate an otherwise manual operation. Everything is working great, except occasionally the legacy app displays a messagebox. When it does this the process halts until the the message box closes. As the service will be running on a server there will be no user to close the message box. The service launches the legacy application in a System.Diagnostics.Process. My question is, is there way to detect that a message box has been displayed by a process that I have started using System.Diagnostics.Process and is there a way to through code to close the messagebox.
