  • Is there limit of "join" or the "where" or length of SQL query ?

    Actually i was trying to get data from elgg database based on multiple joins. It generated very big query with lots of JOIN statements and query never respond back.     has anyone find out why FriendFeed advanced search result url doesn't have not search field parameter? some example: contains the words field, when you inputs a text "ok" and push search, then response url is http://friendfeed.com/search?q=ok if you also inputs a text into words in the title field, like texts "I'm", response url is http://friendfeed.com/search?q=ok+intitle%3Ai%27m well, pretty beautiful. not like other site response all field even you don't push a text into. anyone know how to make this effect?

So it skips the very next row and loads the rows only after the very first, so only 9. I tried to write here only the important part of the code, so i skipped some echo part etc. Any idea?

  • Back button of Navigation Controller does not work!

    For some reason, if I try to go back to the main menu using the back button on the upper left corner, only the title returns to the previous menu, but not the view controller. View controller would return to the previous menu only if I explicitly call popViewControllerAnimated using some other button. Is there anyway to solve this? I think I've coded something wrong. Tried googling but couldn't find any cases like mine.

  • Changing an Action Type="click" to an auto action in SVG

    I have a SVG document that I exported from Visio 2003 that would like to edit. This file has an action where you click a button it will navigate to a new screen. What I would like to do is have the navigation be based off of a data point rather than having to click the button. As an example I have a dynamic point data being brought into the SVG file and when that value changes from 0 to 1, I want this screen to automatically navigate to another screen. Think of a situation like the following: open Foo.base.Bar In C# I'd just use @ before base but F# seems to ignore that and to think that @ is the infix operator used for list concatenation. Since the namespace belongs to a third-party library which I cannot modify, is there a way I can still access it from F#?

  • Need Opinions: Should an ASP.NET Application allow administrators to change MSSQL connection?

    As the title suggests: What is your opinion on allowing administrators to update the SQL Connection string dynamically from the application versus just showing them the connection details in the application? Because the database connection is so important and on a heavily used system the abrupt change to the connection seems like it could cause problems. However I would think displaying the server and catalog and whether the connection is using SSPI or SQL Auth could be helpful for administrators who don't like playing with .NET config files. Thoughts?

  • HTML Form input textbox not accepting special characters

    Hello, There seems to be a problem, where i can't display the complete value in a html form text input box. When I echo $ title, I get output as "Stacey's Mom" This is the html code I used to show the value. -- This returns the value in textbox as "Stacey". Samething happens when "," or "'" or "/" occurs in the text. How can I show the entire text in the textbox. Help would be much appreciated.

From the main window I can launch sub-windows, but in these sub-windows I can't seem to access the data I collected in the main window. How can I access this data? Or, how can I send this data to the sub-window on creation?     So, for instance facebook's search bar has faint word that says "search", but when you click on the bar, it becomes blank and you may begin typing, when you click away the "search" goes back. Similarly, SO's ask a question title box has faint words that go away when you start typing. I'm not too sure what this effect is called, but I'm wondering if theres a jQuery plugin that helps to achieve this. This isn't particularly difficult to program, but I thought why reinvent the wheel if someone already made a plugin for it.

  • Codeigniter not returning me to upload form after image upload.

    I'm still very new to codeigniter. The issue i'm having is that the file uploads fine and it writes to the database without issue but it just doesn't return me to the upload form. Instead it stays in the do_upload and doesn't display anything. Even more bizarrely there is some source code behind the scenes. Can someone tell my what it is i'm doing wrong because I want to be returning to my upload form after submission. Thanks in advance.
