  • Add class to elements which already have a class

    I have a group of divs which I'm dynamically generating when a button is clicked with the class, "brick". This gives them dimension and starting position of top: 0. I'm trying to get them to animate to the bottom of the view using a css transition with a second class assignment which gives them a bottom position: 0;. Can't figure out the syntax for adding a second class to elements with a pre-existing class. On inspection they only show the original class of, "brick".   • C#: Label contains no text

    Hey I would like to get the text out of a label. But the label text is set with Javascript. On the page I can see that there is text in the label, but when I debug it shows this: "". So how do I get the text out of a label that is set with Javascript, at least that is what I think is the problem.   • Why is my web page left-aligned on iPad?

    I recently built a site and centered it using margin: 0 auto. I also wrapped elements in a .wrapper class with a width set to 960px and then had the parent element extend across the whole browser. When I view the Brands screen on an iPad though, the site is left-aligned and does not extend across the whole window. Any thoughts to why this might be happening, and how to correct it?   • Imagemagik Change an images dpi from 400 to 72

    I have an image on my server which I know the dpi of and if it's too high I want to size it down to 72 I still want to keep the same height and width of the image. Any ideas? I've played around with -resample -units and -density but don't seem to be getting anywhere and can't find any answers. Anyone out there that can help

  • Making a row of divs all be the same height using CSS

    I have a row of divs that must all be the same height, but I have no way of knowing what that height might be ahead of time (the content comes from an external source). I initially tried placing the divs in an enclosing div and floated them left. I then set their height to be "100%", but this had no perceptible effect. By setting the height on the enclosing div to a fixed-height I could then get the floated divs to expand, but only up to the fixed height of the container. When the content in one of the divs exceeded the fixed height, it spilled over; the floated divs refused to expand. I Googled this floated-divs-of-the-same-height problem and apparently there's no way to do it using CSS. So now I am trying to use a combination of relative and absolute positioning instead of floats.   • How do I make a GUI that behaves like this?

    This is difficult to explain without illustration, so - behold, an illustration, cobbled together from screenshots of a few hello-world examples and a lot of Paint work: I have started out using Windows Forms on .NET (via IronPython, but that shouldn't be important), and haven't been able to figure out very much. GUI libraries in general are very intimidating, simply because every class has so many possible attributes. Documentation is good at explaining what everything does, but not so good at helping you figure out what you need. I will be assembling the GUI dynamically, but I'm not expecting that to be the hard part. The sticking points for me right now are: How do I get text labels to size themselves automatically to the width of the contained text (so that the text doesn't clip, and I also don't reserve unnecessary space for them when resizing the window)? How do I make the vertical scrollbar always appear? Setting the VScroll property (why is this protected when AutoScroll is public, BTW?) doesn't seem to do anything. How come the horizontal scrollbar is not added by AutoScroll when contents are laid out vertically (via Dock = DockStyle.Top)? I can use a minimum size for panels to prevent the label and corresponding control from overlapping when the window is shrunk horizontally, but then the scrollbar doesn't appear and the control is inaccessible. How can I put limits on window resizing (e.g. set a minimum width) without disabling it completely? (Just set minimum/maximum sizes for the Form?) Related to that, is there any way to set minimum/maximum widths or heights without setting a minimum/maximum size (i.e. can I constrain the size in only one dimension)? Is there a built-in control suitable for hex editing or am I going to have to build something myself? ... And should I be using something else (perhaps something more capable?) I've heard WPF mentioned, but I understand that this involves XML and I really want to build a GUI from XML - I already have data in an object graph, and doing some kind of weird XML pseudo-serialization (in Python, no less!) in order to create a GUI seems incredibly roundabout.

  • Line for signature in markdown

    I'm writing a document using markdown, which I'm exporting to a PDF using pandoc. At the end of the document I need to have space for signatures on a printed copy of the PDF. I've tried to find how to draw a line with a fixed width, but so far I only got to escaping the underscore character, which doesn't feel quite right. It's as if I'm missing something, this couldn't possibly be that unusual to want to do. Any help or pointers are greatly appreciated.

The first time you hit the Show the div button, it works. Also, the Hide the div works. Then when I click to show the div again, it appears to the right of where it is supposed to be! Why is this?!?   • A column of a table needs to stay in one line (HTML/CSS/Javascript)

    Hi Folks ! So I am having an issue on my entrepreneur business opportunity rating matrix : I would like the radio buttons to stay on the same line. The problem is that I don't know how I should process because if I give a fixed minimum width for the cell, i'm not sure it will display properly on other browsers, and if the cell is to big I loose the alignment of the radio buttons.   • Can't I send NULL as a parameter with a constructor?

    Lets say i have a Shape object that has a constructor like this: Shape( width, height, radius, depth ) Now, I just have a silly rect so i dont need redius and depth... is it okey to do Shape myRect(50, 50, NULL, NULL) ? I know its not the best idea and I should use inheritance and stuff but this is the mess im in so can i use NULL like this?
