    The definitive reference for using Scala on android seems to be here: http://www.scala-lang.org/node/160 Unfortunately, all the references on using scala with android are based around Scala 2.7 and refer to a custom build android-library.jar, with a couple of cryptic references suggesting that this custom build isn't needed for later versions of android (I'm using 2.1 / API v7) So... What are the steps needed to use Scala 2.8 in an android project? Preferably using eclipse and the Android tools that Google supplies for that IDE.

    When you go to Lists, and Create. I'd like to show the "Custom Lists" column only to specific group. I don't want the users to be able to create Web Pages, Document Libs .. etc But I'm not able to see how, I tried to create a custom group and edit permission level, but I cant find where exactly. does enabling "Create" to specific group opens all settings inside that you can't eliminate certain settings from showing to this group?.

    I have to submit subscription data to another website. I have got documentation on how to use this API however i'm not 100% sure of how to set this up.     fontsquirrel.com allows you to upload a font and create a @font-face kit which you can apply to your website and use to display fonts which will display cross-browser (even in IE6!). But what I want to know is, is this legal? I've been supplied the font "Lubalin Graph Std" and told to use this for headers on the website I'm creating. I can upload the font file to fontsquirrel.com and use this to display headers in this font across the website - but I'm worried we'll get into trouble for doing this. What should I do?

  • What does LAME text does in MP3 file?

    I see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP3 that MP3 file consists of MP3 headers interchanged with MP3 data. MP3 header consist of few bytes. But here is my MP3 file dump with ID3 tag cut. Header is highlighted with blue. You can see that "LAME3.96" text is highlighted with green. What does it does there? Is this a part of MP3 elementary stream? Or this is the part of some headers I didn't tag?

    can i have multiple iis ftp sites using something similar to web site's unasigned host headers? i have a dedicated server in a hosting facility and want to make a web site for each of my clients. to add/ remove files and content i want ftp access to each of the sites root folders. lets say i have 10 sites set up using unasigned host headers... how can i set up 10 analogous ftp sites on the same server?     I have developed an addin for Visual Studio 2008, which extends the main menu with custom menu items. These menu items have custom images and I finally managed to have them displayed correctly using transparency masks. The only problem that still persists is, that the icons look really ugly and unprofessional, when the menu items are disabled. Instead of getting grayed out smoothly, the icons become flat gray chunks.

    In my Windows Mobile .NET application I have a simple array of object with the data I want to display in my DataGrid. To do this, I simply call: myDataGrid.DataSource = myArray; This works, but I have a problem with it: it uses all properties as columns and uses the names of the properties as the column headers. I can't figure out how to customize two things: Select which subset of properties should be displayed as columns (say I have an ID, Name and Value property, I'd only want to show Name and Value); Rename the column headers to make more sense (for example if the property is called ID display a column header saying "Number"). Is this possible at all? As mentioned this is in a Windows Mobile .NET (version 2) application.

This is working when I create custom administrative account and put AppPool to run under that account: Process.Start("shutdown", "/r /d 4:1 /t 10"); However, I don't want to have custom accounts (because of password expiry and need to update all AppPools when User passwords are changed). So, is this possible?

How does Python's json module iterate over an item? Note: if I iterate over the list before serializing, the correct value returned by __get__ is used.
