  • Quercus on Google App Engine: Class not loading

    - by gAMBOOKa
Fatal Error: no matching class connection index.php <?php import database.connection; $connection = connection::get()->getPersistenceManager(); // ***ERROR HERE*** ?> connection.java package database; import javax.jdo.JDOHelper; import javax.jdo.PersistenceManagerFactory; public final class connection { private static final PersistenceManagerFactory pmfInstance = JDOHelper.getPersistenceManagerFactory("transactions-optional"); private connection() {} public static PersistenceManagerFactory get() { return pmfInstance; } } Quercus is otherwise configured fine, PHP implementation works smoothly on GAE. But when I try to initialize classes, PHP can't find them. What am I doing wrong?

  • Lombok with Play 2

    - by Alex Povar
What about Lombok integration with Play Framework 2? I really like Lombok it make my code more readable and less boilerplate. And Play Framework is wonderful too. But there is a great trouble in case if you going to mixup them. Main reason is that scala temlates in play project compiled before domain classes. So Lombok, which itself is compiler's hack do not generate accessors for that time. The question is: if it any ways to make it work? I found some discussions in Google Groups, but they do not provide any reasonable solution. So have you got any success with it? And.. why guys from Play Framework project do not provide some Lombok-like solution? Anyway Play is full of code-generation magic and shadow compiling... so, why not?

  • Is there "native" support for JSON in JDK6 Script Engine?

    - by Ayman
I'm using JDK6the standard Scripting. I need to store and retrieve some JavaScript Objects that also contain Java Objects to JSON. I loaded the json2.js into the ScriptENgine and can use it fine without issue if the objects are all created in the Scrip Engine. The moment I try to use my own Java classes, I get some errors like "object does not support toJSON" errors. I did not find much about JSON in Java Scripting / Rhino context. Am I doing something totally wrong? What's the best way of achieving the requirement?

  • C# and MySQL .NET Connector - Any way of preventing SQL Injection attacks in a generic class?

    - by John M
My idea is to create some generic classes for Insert/Update/Select via a C# (3.5) Winforms app talking with a MySQL database via MySQL .NET Connector 6.2.2. For example: public void Insert(string strSQL) { if (this.OpenConnection() == true) { MySqlCommand cmd = new MySqlCommand(strSQL, connection); cmd.ExecuteNonQuery(); this.CloseConnection(); } } Then from anywhere in the program I can run a query with/without user input by just passing a SQL query string. Reading around on SO is starting to give me the indication that this may lead to SQL injection attacks (for any user-input values). Is there anyway of scrubbing the inputted strSQL or do I need to go and create individual parameterized queries in every method that needs to do a database function?

  • Programatically Create Controller in Rails

    - by Trey Bean
What's the best way to dynamically create a controller in Rails. I've got a class that needs to generate a bunch of controller that inherit from it. I could just create a bunch of files in /app/controllers, but they'd all be basically empty files. There's got to be a way to generate these classes dynamically and have them treated like other controllers in Rails, e.g. reloaded correctly in dev mode. I tried putting this in a config/initializer: FL.contact_types.each do |contact_type| controller_name = "#{contact_type.pluralize}Controller" Object.const_set(controller_name.to_sym, Class.new(ContactsController)) unless Object.const_defined?(controller_name.to_sym) end This worked, but I run into the dependency/reload problem and get “A copy of AuthenticatedSystem has been removed from the module tree but is still active” since the ContactsController inherits from ApplicationController which includes AuthenticatedSystem. Is creating a bunch of empty files really the best solution?

  • ValueError with multi-table inheritance in Django Admin

    - by jorde
    I created two new classes which inherit model Entry: class Entry(models.Model): LANGUAGE_CHOICES = settings.LANGUAGES language = models.CharField(max_length=2, verbose_name=_('Comment language'), choices=LANGUAGE_CHOICES) user = models.ForeignKey(User) country = models.ForeignKey(Country, null=True, blank=True) created = models.DateTimeField(auto_now=True) class Comment(Entry): comment = models.CharField(max_length=2000, blank=True, verbose_name=_('Comment in English')) class Discount(Entry): discount = models.CharField(max_length=2000, blank=True, verbose_name=_('Comment in English')) coupon = models.CharField(max_length=2000, blank=True, verbose_name=_('Coupon code if needed')) After adding these new models to admin via admin.site.register I'm getting ValueError when trying to create a comment or a discount via admin. • Core Location question....

    - by Moshe
This tutorial on mobileorchard.com uses 2 classes (or 2 sets of .h and .m) to implement core location. Can I just use everything there in my existing class? How would I do that? Also, is the - (id) init { self = [super init]; if (self != nil) { self.locationManager = [[[CLLocationManager alloc] init] autorelease]; self.locationManager.delegate = self; // send loc updates to myself } return self; } method the same as the usual initWithNib? I;m trying to quickly implement something based on location information. As much help describing the above linked tutorial would be helpful. Thanks. No - really, Thank You.

  • C++ Switch Statement Case Error

    - by Metal_Drummer
    I'm programming a simple text-based RPG using a switch statement for a game loop. The program works fine until I attempt to add another case statement, at which point it gives me the following three errors: "jump to case label" (error occurs at the line of the newly added case), and two "crosses initialization of 'ClassName *objectName'"(errors occur when the new objects are created in case 2). I'll paste the important code, if anyone needs more, please let me know. int main(void) { //initiate first object array and add some objects //initiate second object array and add some objects while(gamestate != 8) { switch(gamestate) { case 0: //do some stuff break; case 1: //do some stuff break; case 2: //declare new objects of the two... //...classes I have (ClassName *objectName) //do some stuff break; case 3: //this is the case I am trying to add //do nothing break; } } return 0; }

  • Automatic CSS Preview Generator - Have css file, want to automatically generate html to preview styl

    - by Marcel Chastain
I have a fairly large CSS file developed by my web designer. There are, of course, plenty of IDs, classes and tag properties assigned therein. Are there any tools to automatically generate HTML based on a CSS source file? For example: #basicInfoHead{ background:url(../images/leftHeaders.jpg) no-repeat; margin-left: 0px; width:185px; height:28px; } #basicInfoHead span{ float: left; } Would generate <div id=basicInfoHead><span>#basicInfoHead span</span></div> Etc etc. From there, I could preview the generated code in my browser, and see what each of the individual (primarily text) styles would look like. Thanks in advance!

  • FileReader vs FileInputReader. split vs Pattern

    - by abdeslam
I'm working with a file with about 2G. I want to read the file line by line to find some specific terms. Whitch class can I better use: FileReader or FileInputStream? And how can I find the specific words efficiently. I'm just using the split() method, but may be can I use the java.util.regex.Pattern class in combination with java.util.regex.Matcher class. So the Questions are: which class can I use: the FileReader or the FileInputStream? can I use the split method or the regex classes Does someone has an answer to this questions? Thans.

  • IntelliJ: Adding resources to the class path, but still gives me "java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't find bundle.... locale en_US"

    - by Martin
I am quite new to intellij and i have loaded in a project that i wish to compile, everything seems to be going well, but when i compile it. I get the bundle cannot be found. java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't find bundle for base name openfire_i18n, locale en_US at java.util.ResourceBundle.throwMissingResourceException(ResourceBundle.java:1499) After doing some investigation, it appears i have to include the resources in the class path, is this correct? I have done Project Settings, Modules, Dependencies, and i added a "Jars or directories" There is a checkbox that says Export, i have tried clicking it and unclicking it :-) My resources i can see are in i8n\ResourceBundle I tried adding the i8n and it asked me for a category for selected files, i put classes RUN - but still same error.. so i tried adding the i8n/ResourceBundle directory RUN - still same error. I notice under my ResourceBundle directory there are C:\Dev\Java\openfire_src_3_7_1\openfire_src\src\i18n\openfire_i18n_en.properties but there is no specific en_US but i thought it supposed to fallback to EN ?? SO i think everything is ok. Can anyone help I am really stuck Thanks

  • C# string parsing question

    - by rsteckly
I'm trying to split a string: string f = r.ReadToEnd(); string[] seperators = new string[] {"[==========]"}; string[] result; result = f.Split(seperators, StringSplitOptions.None); There's this ========== thing that separates entries. For the life of me, I can't get this to work. I've got a ruby version working...BUT using the string splitter classes I thought I knew for .NET doesn't seem to be working so well. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

  • Substituting Java for Groovy Little By Little

    - by yar
I have been checking out Groovy a bit and I feel that moving a Java program to Groovy little by little -- grabbing a class and making it a Groovy class, then converting the method guts a bit at a time -- might be a relatively sane way to take advantage of some of the Groovy language features. I would also do new classes in Groovy. Questions: Is this a reasonable way to convert? Can I keep all of my public methods and and fields in Java? Groovy is "just" a superset, right? What kinds of things would you not do in Groovy, but prefer Java instead?

  • Netbeans GUI editor generating its own incomprehensible code.

    - by WarDoGG
When creating a new project in netbeans, if i select JAVA Desktop application, it creates some code which I DO NOT RECOGNISE AT ALL as what i had learnt in swing. It imports packages such as : org.jdesktop.application.SingleFrameApplication; also, the declaration for main() looks like this : public static void main(String[] args) { launch(DesktopApplication2.class, args); } This really does not make any sense to my knowledge of JFrame, JPanel etc.. If i try to code a netbeans application from scratch, i can write my own swing app BUT I CANNOT FIND THE GUI EDITOR. How do i bring the GUI editor when creating java application from scratch ? Can anyone explain to me this org.jdesktop.application.SingleFrameApplication and other classes ? Please help. This is really frustrating.

  • Python equivalent of Java's compareTo()

    - by astay13
I'm doing a project in Python (3.2) for which I need to compare user defined objects. I'm used to OOP in Java, where one would define a compareTo() method in the class that specifies the natural ordering of that class, as in the example below: public class Foo { int a, b; public Foo(int aa, int bb) { a = aa; b = bb; } public int compareTo(Foo that) { // return a negative number if this < that // return 0 if this == that // return a positive number if this > that if (this.a == that.a) return this.b - that.b; else return this.a - that.a; } } I'm fairly new to classes/objects in Python, so I'd like to know what is the "pythonic" way to define the natural ordering of a class?

  • The finest way to store the HardCore Data i android

    - by david
Hi All! I am working on an application where I have a long listing of different states approximately 20 states and each state consisting of several zones in addition to the weather forcast of each zone eventually. Now the thing is that I have already created the Listing of hardcore data in a list view of all the states. Again I need to add the hardcore data of several zones for each state(min 4 to 5 zones/ state). So , now I am wondering that whether I have to create the separate classes with hardcore names of all the zones in each state or is there any easy way out for doing the same. It would be great if anyone having the idea can tell me. Thanks, david

  • Casting Error with Reflection

    - by Mitchel Sellers
I have an application that uses plugins that are managed via an interface I then dynamically load the plugin classes and cast them to the interface to work with them. I have the following line of code, assume that IPlugin is my interface. IPlugin _plugin = (IPlugin)Activator.CreateInstance(oInfo.Assembly, oInfo.FullyQualifiedName) This should be pretty simple, create the instance and cast it to the interface. I know that the assembly and fully qualified name values are correct, but I am getting the following exception. Exception= System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast object of type ‘System.Runtime.Remoting.ObjectHandle’ to type ‘MyNamespace.Components.Integration.IPlugin’. at MyNamespace.Components.Integration.PluginProxy..ctor(Int32 instanceId) Any ideas what could cause this?

  • Gson Deserialize to Java Tree

    - by MountainX
I need to deserialize some JSON to a Java tree structure that contains TreeNodes and NodeData. TreeNodes are thin wrappers around NodeData. I'll provide the JSON and the classes below. I have looked at the usual Gson help sources, including here, but I can't seem to come up with the solution. Serialization works fine with Gson. The JSON below was produced by Gson. But deserialization is the problem I need help with. Can someone show me how to write the deserializer (or suggest an alternative approach using Gson best practices)? Here is my JSON. The "data" element corresponds to class NodeData, and the "subList" JSON element corresponds to Java class TreeNode. { "data": { "version": "032", "name": "root", "path": "/", "id": "1", "parentId": "0", "toolTipText": "rootNode" }, "subList": [ { "data": { "version": "032", "name": "level1", "labelText": "Some Label Text at Level1", "path": "/root", "id": "2", "parentId": "1", "toolTipText": "a tool tip for level1" }, "subList": [ { "data": { "version": "032", "name": "level1_1", "labelText": "Label level1_1", "path": "/root/level1", "id": "3", "parentId": "2", "toolTipText": "ToolTipText for level1_1" } }, { "data": { "version": "032", "name": "level1_2", "labelText": "Label level1_2", "path": "/root/level1", "id": "4", "parentId": "2", "toolTipText": "ToolTipText for level1_2" } } ] }, { "data": { "version": "032", "name": "level2", "path": "/root", "id": "5", "parentId": "1", "toolTipText": "ToolTipText for level2" }, "subList": [ { "data": { "version": "032", "name": "level2_1", "labelText": "Label level2_1", "path": "/root/level2", "id": "6", "parentId": "5", "toolTipText": "ToolTipText for level2_1" }, "subList": [ { "data": { "version": "032", "name": "level2_1_1", "labelText": "Label level2_1_1", "path": "/root/level2/level2_1", "id": "7", "parentId": "6", "toolTipText": "ToolTipText for level2_1_1" } } ] } ] } ] } Here are the Java classes: public class Tree { private TreeNode rootElement; private HashMap<String, TreeNode> indexById; private HashMap<String, TreeNode> indexByKey; private long nextAvailableID = 0; public Tree() { indexById = new HashMap<String, TreeNode>(); indexByKey = new HashMap<String, TreeNode>(); } public long getNextAvailableID() { return this.nextAvailableID; } ... [snip] ... } public class TreeNode { private Tree tree; private NodeData data; public List<TreeNode> subList; private HashMap<String, TreeNode> indexById; private HashMap<String, TreeNode> indexByKey; //this default ctor is used only for Gson deserialization public TreeNode() { this.tree = new Tree(); indexById = tree.getIdIndex(); indexByKey = tree.getKeyIndex(); this.makeRoot(); tree.setRootElement(this); } //makes this node the root node. Calling this obviously has side effects. public NodeData makeRoot() { NodeData rootProp = new NodeData(TreeFactory.version, "example", "rootNode"); String nextAvailableID = getNextAvailableID(); if (!nextAvailableID.equals("1")) { throw new IllegalStateException(); } rootProp.setId(nextAvailableID); rootProp.setParentId("0"); rootProp.setKeyPathOnly("/"); rootProp.setSchema(tree); this.data = rootProp; rootProp.setNode(this); indexById.put(rootProp.getId(), this); indexByKey.put(rootProp.getKeyFullName(), this); return rootProp; } ... [snip] ... } public class NodeData { protected static Tree tree; private LinkedHashMap<String, String> keyValMap; protected String version; protected String name; protected String labelText; protected String path; protected String id; protected String parentId; protected TreeNode node; protected String toolTipText;//tool tip or help string protected String imagePath;//for things like images; not persisted to properties protected static final String delimiter = "/"; //this default ctor is used only for Gson deserialization public NodeData() { this("NOT_SET", "NOT_SET", "NOT_SET"); } ... [snip] ... } Side note: The tree data structure is a bit strange, as it includes indexes. Obviously, this isn't a typical search tree. In fact, the tree is used mainly to create a hierarchical path element (String) in each NodeData element. (Example: "path": "/root/level2/level2_1".) The indexes are actually used for NodeData retrieval.

  • Advanced Java book in the lines of CLR via c# or C# in Depth?

    - by devoured elysium
I want to learn about how things work in depth in Java. Coming from a c# background, there were a couple of very good books that go really deep in c# (C# in depth, CLR via c#, just to name the most popular). Is there anything like that in Java? I searched it up on amazon but nothing seemed to go that deep in Java as the two above go in c#. I don't want to know more about specific classes, or how to use this library or that other library, I want to learn how the objects are created on memory, how they get created on the stack, heap, etc. A more fundamental knowledge, let's say. I've read some chapters of Effective Java and The Java Programming Language but they don't seem to go so deep as I'd want them to go. Maybe there are other people that know both c# and Java that have read any of the referred books and know any that might be useful? Thanks

  • How to debug Java code when using ANT script in Eclipse

I am using: <javac srcdir="${src.dir}" destdir="${classes.dir}" debug="true" debuglevel="lines, vars, source"> .......... </javac> But when I place the breakpoint in a line in my foo.java class and I run the ant script (the run part, Right Click on run--Debug As--Ant Build), Eclipse does not stop at that line of code. What am I missing out?!

  • Ruby - Subclassing array to make it randomize when flattened

    - by Markus O'Reilly
I'm trying to subclass Array in ruby to make it randomize its elements when flatten! is called. Looking at the source code for Array#flatten (http://ruby-doc.org/core/classes/Array.src/M002218.html), it looks like it should recursively call flatten! on any array contained within an array. So, I tried doing something like this: class RandArray < Array def randomize! self.sort!{rand(3)-1} end def flatten! randomize! super end end However, when a normal array contains my RandArray and flatten is called on the normal array, flatten! is never called in my array. I figure ruby is just calling some other method to flatten the arrays recursively, but I can't figure out what that is. Any tips?

  • ManyToMany Relation does not create the primary key

    - by Javi
Hello, I have a ManyToMany relationship between two classes: ClassA and ClassB, but when the table for this relationship (table called objectA_objectB) there is no primary key on it. In my ClassA I have the following: @ManyToMany(fetch=FetchType.LAZY) @OrderBy(value="name") @JoinTable(name="objectA_objectB", joinColumns= @JoinColumn(name="idObjectA", referencedColumnName="id"), inverseJoinColumns= @JoinColumn(name="idObjectB", referencedColumnName="id") ) private List<ClassB> objectsB; and in my ClassB I have the reversed relation @ManyToMany List<ClassA> objectsA; I just want to make a primary key of both id's but I need to change the name of the columns as I do. Why is the PK missing? How can I define it? I use JPA 2.0 Hibernate implementation, if this helps. Thanks.

  • Design Layout/Patterns

    - by wpfwannabe
I am still fairly new to C# and I am trying to decide the best way to structure a new program. Here is what I want to do and I would like feed back on my idea. Presentation Layer Business Layer (Separate Class Library) Data Layer (Separate Class Library) Model Layer (Separate Class Library) What I am struggling with is if it is ok to have the classes in the Data Layer and Business Layer inherit from the types I define in Model Layer. This way I can extended the types as needed in my Business Layer with any new properties I see fit. I might not use every property from the Model type in my Business Layer class but is that really a big deal? If this isn't clear enough I can try and put together an example.
