  • W7 routing - traffic not going to default gateway

    I have a really strange Windows 7 IPv4 routing issue that I can't get to the bottom of. The summary of the issue is that the default gateway is set to 192.168.254.253, but that it is actually using a default gateway of 192.168.254.254. I've not inspected the traffic yet. In particular, I was going to look for ICMP redirects, though why there would be an ICMP redirect at all is not really sensible? .254 used to be the default gateway before the fibre was installed. Any ideas? Doesn't make sense to me why there should be this routing issue :( The Draytek Dual WAN Router was rebooted, the PC was rebooted. The PC had the network disabled and then re-enabled. All the standard stuff when Windows looses the plot. Hopefully somebody recognises the symptoms! PS: Sorry for the long post, but I didn't want to leave something potentially relevant out. PPS: No iSCSI involved on/at this or any other workstation so Windows 7 routing traffic through the gateway for local addresses isn't the issue.

There is also a column in the db that stores the status such as "redeemed" or "not redeemed". How could I check for both whether the voucher number exists and if it has already been redeemed? I assume it'd have to be a syntax such as $sql="SELECT * FROM redemption WHERE voucher = '".$q."'" AND status = 'not redeemed' and then use an else or case statement perhaps? Thanks in advance

  • Java Refuses to Start - Could not reserve enough space for object heap

    Background We have a pool of aproximately 20 linux blades. Some are running Suse, some are running Redhat. ALL share NAS space which contains the following 3 folders: /NAS/app/java - a symlink that points to an installation of a Java JDK. Currently version 1.5.0_10 /NAS/app/lib - a symlink that points to a version of our application. /NAS/data - directory where our output is written All our machines have 2 processors (hyperthreaded) with 4gb of physical memory and 4gb of swap space. We limit the number of 'jobs' each machine can process at a given time to 6 (this number likely needs to change, but that does not enter into the current problem so please ignore it for the time being). Some of our jobs set a Max Heap size of 512mb, some others reserve a Max Heap size of 2048mb. Again, we realize we could go over our available memory if 6 jobs started on the same machine with the heap size set to 2048, but to our knowledge this has not yet occurred. The Problem Once and a while a Job will fail immediately with the following message: Error occurred during initialization of VM Could not reserve enough space for object heap Could not create the Java virtual machine. We used to chalk this up to too many jobs running at the same time on the same machine. The problem happened infrequently enough (MAYBE once a month) that we'd just restart it and everything would be fine. The problem has recently gotten much worse. All of our jobs which request a max heap size of 2048m fail immediately almost every time and need to get restarted several times before completing. We've gone out to individual machines and tried executing them manually with the same result. Debugging It turns out that the problem only exists for our SuSE boxes. The reason it has been happening more frequently is becuase we've been adding more machines, and the new ones are SuSE. 'cat /proc/version' on the SuSE boxes give us: Linux version 2.6.5-7.244-bigsmp (geeko@buildhost) (gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux)) #1 SMP Mon Dec 12 18:32:25 UTC 2005 'cat /proc/version' on the RedHat boxes give us: Linux version 2.4.21-32.0.1.ELsmp ([email protected]) (gcc version 3.2.3 20030502 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.3-52)) #1 SMP Tue May 17 17:52:23 EDT 2005 'uname -a' gives us the following on BOTH types of machines: UTC 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux No jobs are running on the machine, and no other processes are utilizing much memory. All of the processes currently running might be using 100mb total. 'top' currently shows the following: Mem: 4146528k total, 3536360k used, 610168k free, 132136k buffers Swap: 4194288k total, 0k used, 4194288k free, 3283908k cached 'vmstat' currently shows the following: procs -----------memory---------- ---swap-- -----io---- --system-- ----cpu---- r b swpd free buff cache si so bi bo in cs us sy id wa 0 0 0 610292 132136 3283908 0 0 0 2 26 15 0 0 100 0 If we kick off a job with the following command line (Max Heap of 1850mb) it starts fine: java/bin/java -Xmx1850M -cp helloworld.jar HelloWorld Hello World If we bump up the max heap size to 1875mb it fails: java/bin/java -Xmx1875M -cp helloworld.jar HelloWorld Error occurred during initialization of VM Could not reserve enough space for object heap Could not create the Java virtual machine. It's quite clear that the memory currently being used is for Buffering/Caching and that's why so little is being displayed as 'free'. What isn't clear is why there is a magical 1850mb line where anything higher means Java can't start. Any explanations would be greatly appreciated.

  • Socket php server not showing messages sent from android client

    Hi I am a newbie in these kind of stuff but here's what i want to do. I am trying to implement a chat application in which users will send their queries from the website and as soon as the messages are sent by the website users.It will appear in the android mobile application of the site owner who will answer their queries .In short I wanna implement a live chat. Now right now I am just simply trying to send messages from android app to php server. But when I run my php script from dreamweaver in chrome the browser keeps on loading and doesn't shows any output when I send message from the client. Sometimes it happened that the php script showed some outputs which I have sent from the android(client).But i don't know when it works and when it does not. So I want to show those messages in the php script as soon as I send those messages from client and vice versa(did not implemented the vice versa for client but help will be appreciated).     I am trying to get the IP of a PPP VPN network connection, but Win32_NetworkAdapterConfiguration does not seem to "see" it. If I interrogate all adapters using my script, it will see everything but the PPP VPN adapter. Is there a specific filter or something I need to enable, or do I need a different class?   • Autounattend.xml not being recognized in VirtualBox

    I am working my way through the steps on this page to prepare an unattended installation of Windows 7 Enterprise x64 for purposes of a college assignment which simply requires the process to be carried out and documented. Both the "technician" and "reference" computers are virtual machines created in VirtualBox 4.3.12, as will be the destination computer. I seem to have successfully completed Step 1, building an Autounattend.xml answer file using Windows System Image Manager, in as far as the answer file validates successfully. The problem arises when I try to install Windows on the reference machine from the DVD image in conjunction with the Autounattend file on a USB drive. I have tried a couple of different USB devices, and the devices themselves seem to be recognized, but the answer file does not, as instead of taking the configuration settings from the file the user interface appears as in a manual installation. Has anyone come across this problem or a solution?   • Why does Sharepoint 2010 Web Reference work, but Service Reference does not

    Sharepoint is setup to use NTLM authentication. When I reference http://myserver/Sites/Ops/_vti_bin/Lists.asmx?WSDL as a Web Reference, I can call the methods and get valid responses. When I reference the same url as a Service Reference, the server throws an exception when calling methods. My account is admin on the Sharepoint Farm. The compile is a success but it does not catch the view compilation errors. I have Vs2010 ultimate, vs 2008 developer+database edition on this machine. So either it compiles ignoring the errors with some combinations of the fixes I've tried, or it errors with Error 410 It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. The required files from page 96 (real Page=105 because it's a LaTeX-Presentation) configure.ac, Makefile.am and src/Makefile.am look exactly as stated in the document.   • PHP SASL(PECL) sasl_server_init(app) works with CLI but not with ApacheModule

    I have written a simple auth script so that Webusers can type in their username and password and my PHP script verifies them by SASL. The SASL Library is initialized by php function sasl_server_init("phpfoo"). So phpfoo.conf in /etc/sasl2/ is used. phpfoo.conf: pwcheck_method: saslauthd mech_list: PLAIN LOGIN log_level: 9 So the SASL library now tries to connect to saslauthd process by socket. saslauthd command line looks like this: /usr/sbin/saslauthd -r -V -a pam -n 5 So saslauthd uses PAM to authenticate. In the php script I have created sasl connection by sasl_server_new("php", null, "myRealm"); The first argument is the servicename. So PAM uses the file /etc/pam.d/php to see for further authentication information. /etc/pam.d/php: auth required pam_mysql.so try_first_pass=0 config_file=/etc/pam.d/mysqlconf.nss account required pam_permit.so session required pam_permit.so mysqlconf.nss has all information that is needed for a useful MySQL Query to user table. All of this works perfectly when I run the script by command line. php ssasl.php But when I call the same script via webbrowser(php apache module) I get an -20 return code (SASL_NOUSER). In /var/log/messages there is May 18 15:27:12 hostname httpd2-prefork: unable to open Berkeley db /etc/sasldb2: No such file or directory I do not have anything with a Berkeley db for authentication with SASL. I think authentication using /etc/sasldb2 is the default setting. In my opinion it does not read my phpfoo.conf file. For some reason the php-apache-module ignores the parameter in sasl_server_init("phpfoo"). My first thought was that there is a permission issue. So back in shell: su -s /bin/bash wwwrun php ssasl.php "Authentication successful". - No file-permission issue. In the source of the sasl-php-extension we can find: PHP_FUNCTION(sasl_server_init) { char *name; int name_len; if (zend_parse_parameters(1 TSRMLS_CC, "s", &name, &name_len) == FAILURE) { return; } if (sasl_server_init(NULL, name) != SASL_OK) { RETURN_FALSE; } RETURN_TRUE; } This is a simple pass through of the string. Are there any differences between the PHP CLI and PHP ApacheModule version that I am not aware of? Anyway, there are some interesting log entries when I run PHP in CLI mode: May 18 15:44:48 hostname php: SQL engine 'mysql' not supported May 18 15:44:48 hostname php: auxpropfunc error no mechanism available May 18 15:44:48 hostname php: _sasl_plugin_load failed on sasl_auxprop_plug_init for plugin: sqlite May 18 15:44:48 hostname php: sql_select option missing May 18 15:44:48 hostname php: auxpropfunc error no mechanism available May 18 15:44:48 hostname php: _sasl_plugin_load failed on sasl_auxprop_plug_init for plugin: sql Those lines are followed by lines of saslauthd and PAM which results in authentication success.(I do not get any of them in ApacheModule mode) Looks like that he is trying auxprop pwcheck before saslauthd. I have no other .conf file in /etc/sasl2. When I change the parameter of sasl_server_init to something other then I get the same error in CLI mode as in ApacheModule mode.

Log4net works fine in the 1.1 apps using log4net version 1.2.9.0 and but not the 3.5 web app. The logging works fine in a development and staging environment but not in production. It does not error and I receive no events logged in the event viewer and don't know where to look next. I have tried both versions of log4net (1.2.9.0 and 1.2.10.0) and both work in development and staging but not in production. For testing purposes I have created just a single page application that just echos back the time when the page is hit and also is supposed to log to my logfile using log4net. Clicking the Flash container in Firefox will work Perfectly fine. You should get alert boxes in this order containing: span, div and body. Flash bubbles the event to the HTML. But this is not happening in IE. So why is Flash in IE not bubbling events to HTML? Edit: As mentioned by Andy E this behavior can also bee seen in Google Chrome which to my knowledge is not using ActiveX to embed the flash movie into the page.

  • Django FileField not saving to upload_to location

    I have an Attachment model that has a FileField in a Django 1.4.1 app. This FileField has a callable upload_to parameter which, per the Django docs should be called when the form (and therefore the model) is saved. When I run FormTest below, the upload_to callable is never called and the file therefore does not appear in the location provided by the upload_to method. What am I doing wrong? Notice that in the passing tests in ModelTest (also below), the upload_to method works as expected.     I'm getting an error when I run the Spree sample data. It occurs when Spree tries to load in the product data, specifically the product images. Expected 0 I've also tried manually updating the Paperclip gem in Spree to 3.0.2 and still get the same error. So, I'm not really sure what else to try. Is there still something incorrect with my ImageMagick setup?

    What are the most common reasons for an outlet (a class property) not being set during a bundle load? I'm sorry; most likely I'm not using the correct terms. It's my first steps with iPhone OS development and Objective-C, so please bear with me. Here is more details. Basically, I'm trying to create a table view based form with a fixed number of static rows. I followed this example: http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/documentation/userexperience/conceptual/TableView_iPhone/TableViewCells/TableViewCells.html Scroll down to The Technique for Static Row Content please. I have one nib file with one table view, three table cells and all connections set as in the example. The problem is that the corresponding cell properties in my controller are never initialised. I get an exception in cellForRowAtIndexPath complaining that the returned cell is nil: UITableView dataSource must return a cell from tableView:cellForRowAtIndexPath. I tried to move them after the table view, but it did not make any difference. Are table cells in some way special? Do I need to set some flag or some property on them in the nib file? I was under the impression that all classes (views, windows, controllers …) listed in a nib file are simply instantiated (and linked using the provided connections). Could it possibly be some memory issue? The cell properties in my controller are not defined in any special way.

So what I want to do is to remove the whole occurrence of <Title/> from generated XML.Right now i have removed the min-length restriction so it is adding the <Title> element as EMPTY <Title></Title> But I do not want it like this.Any help is appreciated.I am using jaxb 2.0 for Marshalling.
