• How to change sample text in font installer

  I have several Japanese fonts but do not want to install them all. I would like to preview them before installing. In icon view I can get a very rough idea of the style of the font as it shows Aa. When I open the font I am presented with a dialog box which shows a sample of the font with the sentence The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog. I would like to change this sample text to Japanese text to get a fuller preview of the font. Is it at all possible? I suspect I might have to edit and compile source, not something I'm very familiar with.

• What's the difference between MCSD and MCPD?

  I am looking on the website but the difference between the two isn't explained. To complicate matters a Google search tells me that developers should focus on the MCPD qualifications but an examination of the MCPD section of the site is telling me that the Web Application exams will expire in July 2013! It seems out of date. Meanwhile the MCSD exam seems to be a lot more up to date with references to HTML5/ASP.net 4.5 MVC applications! What's the difference. Are the MCPD going to be updated after July? Thanks

• Which ATI driver version did 10.04 use?

  I have a trouble with ATI driver with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. When I install ATI driver in Ubuntu 12.04 via "Additional Driver", then I can't shutdown Ubuntu, it showed blank (black) screen and my laptop still run. Sometimes, my screen like that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9_iygesbBM But when I install Ubuntu 10.04 and install ATI driver via "Additional Driver", it's very good and no trouble I've seen. It's sweet but 10.04 is old and is supported to 4/2013. So I want to know why Ubuntu 10.04 works good better than 12.04 with ATI driver (in my case)?

• Maya Animated Character export for XNA 4.0 problem

  To begin with, I'm trying to export an animated character in .fbx format from Maya 2013 to XNA 4.0 In Maya, The Model has a basic rig and the animations are in clips made in the Trax editor. so the issue i'm having is after selecting the model and the root joint and then hitting export in .fbx format, for some reason when i open the exported .fbx file the joint system is detached from the model with no animation. Btw, i have the animations in clips so that they can be called in code, for example "run","walk","attack". So, what can i do to solve this problem? Thank you.

• Why was my Facebook game rejected with the note that "your app icon must not overlap with content in your cover image?"

  My FB game just recently got rejected for two reasons. The first I fixed, but I just can't see to figure out what they mean by the second, and I was hoping someone else got the same issue and did know what they meant. The remaining error is: Cover Image Your app icon must not overlap with content in your cover image. Click on 'Web Preview' in the 'App Details' section to check for overlap prior to submitting your app. See more here. All I know is that the rejection has something to do with the cover image, not the icons or the screenshots. The web preview of my game looks like this now: Please let me know what to do to get approved.

• Internet connection randomly drops out

  Since a week or 2, I have this random network failures. No error pops up, the system says it's still connected to the internet(wifi and wired). The problem is, I can't connect to anything, even a ping google.com gives no feedback. And after many network-manager resets it will work again, for just a minute, and drop out again. I noticed that the /etc/resolv.conf contains this line: nameserver 127.0.0.1 I left out the "Do not edit" stuff, and after it worked for a second, this line is added: search lan When I change the nameserver to 8.8.8.8, I am still able to connect to anywhere. Does anyone got a clue what is happening here? I will provide any information asked. Thanks in advance p.s. I run Ubuntu 13.04 since lastnight(24-06-2013)

In addition to the release documentation, the following new information is provided: Learn about some of the "behind the scenes" work for an application, such as threads, events, and binding with the new learning trail on the landing page. Learn how to use cell editors with the List View component. The new example in the UI Controls tutorial shows how to build a list of names by selecting them from a combo box. • Use hotplug and turn on/off PCI device for replacing NIC

  How can I turn off the PCI slots and change the device (especially NIC) without shutting the server down? I found a similar question (How do I turn off PCI devices?) but there are no /sys/bus/pci/slot and no files in /sys/bus/pci/slots.     Ich darf ja keine Namen nennen, aber der Gewinner unserer Umfrage auf der DOAG Konferenz 2012 steht fest und hat sich mit seiner Teilnahme selbst ein erstklassiges Nikolaus-Geschenk gemacht - und zwar ein niegelnagelneues iPad!!! Zugegeben - genau so wie auf dem Bild sieht das iPad des glücklichen Gewinners nicht aus, denn dieser Custom Design Wunsch von mir hätte wahrscheinlich ebenso viel gekostet wie eine ausgewachsene Exadata, aber das wird die Freude nicht trüben. Und freuen können sich auch noch die Gewinner auf den Plätzen 2 bis 5 - nämlich über eine Laptop-Tasche, hochwertigen Stift und Notizmappe aus Leder. Ich freue mich mit den Gewinnern und nicht zuletzt über die rege Teilnahme und vor allem die Ergebnisse der Umfrage. Auch dazu kann ich nicht viel sagen, nur so viel, dass Windows als Server Betriebssystem für Oracle Datenbanken kein Schattendasein führt. In diesem Sinne bin ich gespannt auf die kommende DOAG Datenbank Konferenz im Mai 2013, auf der ich hoffentlich die Gelegenheit bekommen werde, um die Oracle 12c Datenbank auf Windows Server 2012 und Windows 8 vorzustellen.
