  • Can the Microsoft Paint Edit Colors Dialog be supplemented?

    I have written a WinForms application that presents a color picker, limited to the known colors. My environment is Visual Studio C# Express 2008, C#, and Framework 2.0. Currently the MS Paint Colors menu item only presents an Edit Colors dialog. I would like to supplement that by causing the Colors menu item to display both "Edit Colors" and "Edit Known Colors". Can I accomplish this? If so, please provide a citation (or code if preferrred).

    I am using addthis (addthis.com) to offer sharing on items listed on a page (stage.hverdagskupp.no). Since each item on the page is unique, I want the shared information to be unique as well. However, facebook and twitter only seems to allow global page information to be shared. Anyone knows how to define item specific sharing information with addthis, for facebook and twitter?

    I am using UITabbarController with 8 to 9 items (these are UINavigation controllers) It is easy to select an item programmatically using tabbarcontroller.selectedIdex = x; if x value is between 0 to 4 then it's work as expected but if it's greater than 4 then it's select "More" as a view controller. How can we programmatically select an item under "More" list ? any help would be appreciated.. Thanks in advance

I'm trying to generate a suitable build file for ant - using eclipses built-in export-ant buildfile feature as a starting block. I'd like to be able to pass in a collection of models or view-models (e.g., IQueryable<MyViewModel>) and get back an HTML table that uses the DisplayName attribute for the headings (th elements) and Html.Display(propertyName) for the cells (td elements). Each row should correspond to one item in the collection. The <td> elements are not working because the Html in <%= Html.Display(property.DisplayName) %> contains the model for the view, which is a collection of items, not the item itself. Somehow, I need to obtain an HtmlHelper object whose Model property is the current item, but I'm not sure how to do that. How do I solve these two problems?

    Greetings! Last semester in college, my teacher in the Computer Languages class taught us the esoteric language named Whitespace. In the interest of learning the language better with a very busy schedule (midterms), I wrote an interpreter and assembler in Python. An assembly language was designed to facilitate writing programs easily, and a sample program was written with the given assembly mnemonics. Now that it is summer, a new project has begun with the objective being to rewrite the interpreter and assembler for Whitespace 0.3, with further developments coming afterwards. Since there is so much extra time than before to work on its design, you are presented here with an outline that provides a revised set of mnemonics for the assembly language. This post is marked as a wiki for their discussion. Have you ever had any experience with assembly languages in the past? Were there some instructions that you thought should have been renamed to something different? What's the best practice for moving stuff in the drop folder? If it dose and I knew that the function would only read the variable and never write to it, is it possible to pass a variable to the function without creating a copy of that variable or should I just leave that up to the compiler optimizations to do that automatically for me?

  • Trying to set the message-id, in-reply-to, etc... in ActionMailer

  • Adobe Flex Combobox as itemrenderer

    I have a flex combobox as a datagrid itemrenderer. However, after selecting an item in the combobox, its necessary to click out of the combo (i.e. into another cell or elsewhere in the app) for the value to be committed to the combo. Prior to this, the combo sits 'proud' of the datagrid and the value hasnt actually been committed. Is there a way to force the value to be immediately committed after an item has been selected and for the combo to 'lose focus'?

    There is a mouseUpEvent listener attached to the stage, while dragging the movieClip the mouseUpEvent doesnot trigger the handler somehow the mouseUp gets lost. While the item is being dragged and the mouse is moved away from the movieClip i.e somewhere not on the item but on the stage the mouseUp is detected. Any ideas!!

  • How to speed up 'cold start' of .NET component called from VB6 app

    I have a VB6 app which brings up a form by invoking a .NET DLL, but the problem is that this form takes almost 5 seconds to appear after a menu item in the VB6 app is selected. How can I speed this up? I'm thinking that one possible solution is to load the Form from the .NET DLL during the splash screen of the VB6 app but make invisible or somehow not show it, and then when the menu item is selected I will make it show or visible. What are my options?

How can an exisiting project be added to a solution Example: I create solution1 with 3 projects and add to /trunk I create solution2 with 1 project and add to /trunk In solution1 I add existing project from solution2, but I cannot add to subversion.
