  Greetings all. I apologise for posting this problem here, but I do so in desperation after receiving no response on the SugarCRM forums. Even if a reader is unfamiliar with ZuckerReports or SugarCRM some general advice on Java may be of use to me. I have installed ZuckerReports v1.12 in SugarCRM 5.5.1. When I attempt to run a report I get the following error message. cmdline: javaw -classpath The installation in which the report runs correctly is of the same version, and has the same version of the ZuckerReports module. The report previously ran correctly on both installations. I think that the only changes that have been made on the installation in which the report now does not work since the report was last successfully run are the additions of a few custom fields in the Contacts module. These changes should have nothing to do with ZuckerReports. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the ZuckerReports module, but the problem remains. A google search for the warnings given in the error message ie. * log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (net.sf.jasperreports.extensions.ExtensionsEnviron ment). * log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly. Returns a few links (not specific to ZuckerReports) with tips similar to the following: * log4j.properties or log4j.xml needs to be on the classpath where log4j can find it. I cannot find a file with either of those names anywhere on my server, and yet the report can be run successfully on one of my SugarCRM installations. So I figure log4j must be being configured another way. Can anyone suggest a way to solve this problem? Or explain how I might discover how log4j is configured in ZuckerReports? Or explain how I might compare the working with the non-working installation in order to help find a solution? (I have tried searching for files containing "log4j" in both installations and comparing but all I can find are .jar files (nothing I can read with a text editor), and the .jar files found in each installation appear to be the same.)

Show original image (with scroll bars if needed). Can you explain how to do it? I didn't find a good sample on the web. Should I use ViewBox? Or ImageBrush? Do I need ScrollViewer? Thanks!

  Hi guys, Does anyone have any problems with Page_Load being executed twice in Google Chrome? It's a short question, i do not know what else to explain... I have a simple asp.net page and in Firefox and IE all it's working fine. But in Chrome the Page_Load is fired twice... Anyone has any ideas why? Later EDIT: - what is strange is that i have 4 repeaters... binded with random values. The random methods are twice fired (because of page loaded twice) but the repeaters takes the INITIALLY values...so, the 2nd post back is somehow raised after the rendering step. 3rd edit: It happens ONLY at the refresh!

For completeness, it is possible to recreate the scenario very easily: Create a new MVC web app. Run it up. Visit the About tab Modify the URL to read /Home/About/Flib - This obviously takes you to the action with an id of 'Flib' which we don't care about. Notice that the top menu link to About now actually links to /Home/About/Flib - this is wrong as far as I can see, as I now have absolutely no way of using site links to get back to /Home/About I really don't understand why I should be forced to modify all of my Html.ActionLinks to include new { id = string.Empty } for the routevalues and null for the htmlAttribs. This seems especially out of whack because I already specify id = 0 as part of the route itself. Hopefully I'm missing a trick here.

  Hello. I'm building ASP.NET MVC2 application, and using Entity Framework as ORM. I am having troubles updating object in the database. Every time I try entity.SaveChanges(), EF inserts new line in the table, regardless of do I want update, or insert to be done. I tried attaching (like in this next example) object to entity, but then I got {"An object with a null EntityKey value cannot be attached to an object context."} Here's my simple function for inserts and updates (it's not really about vehicles, but it's simpler to explain like this, although I don't think that this effects answers at all)... public static void InsertOrUpdateCar(this Vehicles entity, Cars car) { if (car.Id == 0 || car.Id == null) { entity.Cars.AddObject(car); } else { entity.Attach(car); } entitet.SaveChanges(); } I even tried using AttachTo("Cars", car), but I got the same exception.   Hi, I'm trying to get authentication and authorisation working in an ASP .NET MVC2 site. I've read loads of tutorials and some books which explain how you can use attributes to require authorisation (and membership in a role) like this: [Authorize(Roles="Admin")] public ActionResult Index() { return View(); } I've made classes that implement IIdentity and IPrincipal, I create a userPrincipal object once the user has successfully logged in and I add it to a session variable. When the user goes to another page I want it to set the HttpContext.Current.User to the object that I stored in the session, something like this: if (Session["User"] != null) { HttpContext.Current.User = Session["User"] as MyUser; } My question is: Where abouts do I put the code directly above? I tried Application_AuthenticateRequest but it tells me Session state is not available in this context. Many thanks.

• Internet Explorer keeps asking for NTLM credentials in Intranet zone

  Long text, sorry for that. I'm trying to be as specific as possible. I'm on Windows 7 and I experience a very frustrating Internet Explorer 8 behavior. I'm in a company LAN with some intranet servers and a proxy for connecting with the outside world. On sites that are clearly recognized as being "Local Intranet" (as indicated in the IE status bar) I keep getting "Windows Security" dialog boxes that ask me to log in. These pages are served off an IIS6 with "Integrated Windows Security" enabled, NTFS permits Everyone:Read on the files themselves. If I enter my Windows credentials, the page loads fine. However, the dialog boxes will be popping up the next time, regardless if I ticked "Remember my credentials" or not. (Credentials are stored in the "Credential Manager" but that does not make any difference as to how often these login boxes appear.) If I click "Cancel", one of two things can happen: Either the page loads with certain resources missing (images, styleheets, etc), or it does not load at all and I get HTTP 401.2 (Unauthorized: Logon Failed Due to Server Configuration). This depends on whether the logon box was triggered by the page itself, or a referenced resource. The behavior appears to be completely erratic, sometimes the pages load smoothly, sometimes one resource triggers a logon message, sometimes it does not. Even simply re-loading the page can result in changed behavior. I'm using WPAD as my proxy detection mechanism. All Intranet hosts do bypass the proxy in the PAC file. I've checked every IE setting I can think of, entered host patterns, individual host names, IP ranges in every thinkable configuration to the "Local Intranet" zone, ticked "Include all sites that bypass the proxy server", you name it. It boils down to "sometimes it just does not work", and slowly I'm losing my mind. ;-) I'm aware that this is related to IE not automatically passing my NTLM credentials to the webserver but asking me instead. Usually this should only happen for NTLM-secured sites that are not recognized as being in the "Intranet" zone. As explained, this is not the case here. Especially since half of a page can load perfectly and without interruption and some page's resources (coming from the same server!) trigger the login message. I've looked at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/303650, which gives the impression of describing the problem, but nothing there seems to work. And frankly, I'm not certain if "manually editing the registry" is the right solution for this kind of problem. I'm not the only person in the world with an IE/intranet/IIS configuration, after all. I'm at a loss, can somebody give me a hint?

  Hey. I currently want to develop a simple program in Java that sends out email. Not just a few emails, but actually a lot (10k+) I have a subscribers list that all agree to it, by the way. Anyway, I cannot send these emails via Gmail or anything like that - They do not allow that many emails to be sent. So the basic question is: How do I send emails by making the actual sending computer an email server? I'm sure I should use some libraries, I heard about ChillKat or something like that. • ImageView bounds are larger than expected in android layout

  Hey all, This is a layout that I have defined in an app. As you can see, I would like the TextView "@details/image_time_counter" to be aligned with the bottom right of the image. Unfortunately, this is currently what shows - app - hierarchy viewer all - HV part 2. HierarchyViewer reports that the ImageView has bounds much bigger than what I am expecting. Can anyone explain these bounds, or just tell me how to make the bounds be the same as the image size?   Hi, Would appreciate if someone could pls show me a simple example of how to setup and use qTip jquery plugin for a tooltip to display at the bottom-left of where I hover over an image. I've tried following the demos/examples from the site: qTip but just can't seem to get it working. I am unsure if I need to include the HTML Structure in the documentation and if so, where do I place it? Does this plugin also require a CSS file of some sort? Anywyays would really appreciate if someone could explain/setup an example of using qtip. Would also apreciate if I'm not redirected back to the qTip demo page. Thanks.

• Beginner learning assembly preserving esp after function calls

  I'm a beginner learning some assembly, when preserving the ESP register before a function call does it matter if you do it by adding or subtracting? hard to explain, consider the following mov esi, esp sub esp, 12 // on 32bit OS this would mean that there are 3 arguments to the function // push, function call etc cmp esi, esp // should be the same or mov esi, esp // push, function call etc add esp, 12 cmp esi, esp // should be the same Also if for some reason the cmp fails, is it safe to do mov esp, esi to re-align the stack? Thanks EDIT: Also how come i need to do this for a call like sprintf, but MessageBox seems to fix ESP for me? How am i to know what function needs this and what doesn't?

• ASP.NET - Extend gridview to allow filtering, sorting, paging, etc...

  I have seen threads on many sites regarding extending the gridview control so obviously this will be a duplicate. But I haven't found any that truly extend the control to the extent that you could have custom sorting (with header images), filtering by putting drop downs or textboxes in header columns (on a column by column basis) and custom paging (one that doesn't return all records but just returns the ones requested for the given page). Are there any good tutorials that show the inner-workings of the gridview and how to override the proper functions? I've seen several snippets here and there but none seem to really work and explain things well. Any links would be appreciated. Thanks!

• Android TranslateAnimation resets after animation

  I'm creating something like a SlideDrawer but with most customization, basically the thing is working but the animation is flickering at the end. To further explain, I got an TranslateAnimation then after this animation it returns back to the original position, if i set setFillAfter then the buttons inside the layout stops working. If i listen to onAnimationEnd and set other's layout to View.GONE the layout fickers. Judging from it is that on animation end, the view goes back to original position before the View.GONE is called. Any advice would be awesome. Thanks

• UserControl Focus Issue - Focus() sometimes returns false

  I have a user control that behaves similar to a tab control. The tab headers are UserControls that override Paint events to make them look custom. In order to leverage the Validating events on various controls on our tab pages, when the user clicks on the tab headers, we set the Focus to the TabHeader user control. I've noticed that Control.Focus() returns false sometimes but the documentation does not say why Control.Focus() will ever return false other than that the control can't receive focus. But I don't know why. Here's what i see. If my TabHeader UserControl does not contain any subcontrols, and I call myControl.Focus() from the MouseClick event, focus returns true. If my TabHeader UserControl contains a subcontrol, and I call myControl.Focus() from the MouseClick event, focus returns false. If my TabHeader UserControl contains a subcontrol, and I call myControl.subControl.Focus() from the myControl.MouseClick event, focus returns true. Can someone explain this?

• String length difference between ruby 1.8 and 1.9

  I have a website thats running on ruby 1.8.7 . I have a validation on an incoming post that checks to make sure that we allow upto max of 12000 characters. The spaces are counted as characters and tab and carriage returns are stripped off before the post is subjected to the validation. Here is the post that is subjected to validation http://pastie.org/5047582 In ruby 1.9 the string length shows up as 11909 which is correct. But when I check the length on ruby 1.8.7 is turns out to be 12044. I used codepad.org to run this ruby code which gives me http://codepad.org/OxgSuKGZ ( which outputs the length as 12044 which is wrong) but when i run this same code in the console at codeacademy.org the string length is 11909. Can anybody explain me why this is happening ??? Thanks

• UITableView custom popping

  Okay, I made an app that has a list of items as a main view, and when you select an item it pushes a detail view controller. In this detail view controller you can switch between items. I want to be able to push a view, scroll a few items, and pop the view as if the current item was initially selected. I want to push a view, and then when i pop it, i want it to look like a different view was initially pushed. • What are some good web development blogs?

  I'm just getting into some basic web development (just a personal homepage for now, but I have plans for bigger things once I know the basics). I find that blogs can be quite helpful in getting into the mindset of a particular activity, so I was wondering if anyone knew some good ones. I'm particularly looking for education blogs i.e. ones that actually explain how to do things instead of just making commentary on them. If the blog is specific to LAMP, or any one (or more) of those things (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) then that's a bonus. Thanks in advance.
