• Autocompleting MVC View Variables in Eclipse PDT/Zend Studio

  When using Zend Studio to write views for a MVC framework, is there any way of having those variables autocomplete, perhaps using PHPdoc? For example, I set a variable in a view called $cart which is an instance of my ShoppingCart class. When I type "$cart-", I'd like the IDE to pop up with all of the objects properties.

• Visual Studio 2010 - Is it slow for anyone else?

  I've read a lot of stuff about VS2010 being much more performant than VS2008. When I've finally installed it, I found that it, in fact, is much slower (save for the Add References dialog). For instance, Silverlight projects take twice as long to load, the startup of the IDE itself is much slower, etc... Am I missing something here or is it like this for everyone?

  I have a seperate Log4Net.config file. I added [assembly: log4net.Config.XmlConfigurator(ConfigFile = "Log4Net.config", Watch = true)] to AssemblyInfo.cs When I run the application with debug mode, lognet is logging. When i publish the application to IIS, lognet is not logging anything.   Forgive the beginner question, but say I have an array: a = [1,2,3] And a function somewhere; let's say it's an instance function: class Ilike def turtles(*args) puts args.inspect end end How do I invoke Ilike.turtles with a as if I were calling (Ilike.new).turtles(1,2,3). I'm familiar with send, but this doesn't seem to translate an array into an argument list. A parallel of what I'm looking for is the Javascript apply, which is equivalent to call but converts the array into an argument list.

• Java, user input to the command line when using Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command);

  I dont think this is possible, but I have been using: Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command); to run commands on the command line, but now I have come accross a situation where the command I am running part way through will ask for some user input, for example a username. This can not be resolved by a argument to the command that is being exec, is there any way I can pass the username to the same command line instance and continue? Thanks in advance.

• How to disconnect an existing ruby sequel connection to a database?

  I mean the one which was previously established as DB = Sequel.sqlite('my_blog.db') or DB = Sequel.connect('postgres://user:password@localhost/my_db') or DB = Sequel.postgres('my_db', :user => 'user', :password => 'password', :host => 'localhost') or etcetera. The Sequel::Database class has no public instance method called "disconnect" or so though it has "connect" one. Maybe somebody already faced that problem. I would appreciate any idea.

  I'm trying to extend a Java Swing component in Clojure, i.e. I want to extend a javax.swing.JComponent and add some custom methods implemented in pure Clojure in addition to all the standard inherited methods. I've tried using "proxy" which works great if I just want a single instance (in the same way as an anonymous inner class). However I'd really like a named class so that I can generate an arbitrary number of instances. What's the recommended way of doing this?
