  • Intellisense not working in visual studio 6?

    As I experienced a sudden nostalgic longing for the VB6 of old, I downloaded visual studio 6 from my msdn subscription. To revive my rusty knowledge I very much would like to have intellisense working, but it does not! Is this a known problem with VS6 on Windows 7? I do have the autocomplete option on in the Options menu.

    I posted this question early yesterday, but the thread seems to have died out. For reference, see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2619117/git-push-origin-master . Here's the low-down: I'm new to git. I just set up an account with github and I followed all their instructions flawlessly until I got to the last command of git push origin master Upon entering this command, I get the error message "fatal: No path specified. See 'man git-pull' for valid url syntax." If I type in git origin show the output I see is origin. If I type in git remote -n show the output is * remote origin URL: [email protected]: HEAD branch: (not queried) Local ref configured for 'git push' (status not queried): (matching) pushes to (matching) Please help me get to the bottom of this.

    I understand how Non-repudiation and Integrity are achieved with Digital Signatures, but it's the Authentication that I don't grasp yet. I'm developing a Client-Server application in C#, that should be capable of Authentication with Digital Certificates and Digital Signatures. I know how to check the validity and integrity of a Signature (with SignedCms.CheckSignature()), but how does this authenticates any of the parts involved? For example: The client asks the Server for a Digital Signature, The client receives the signature and validates it, If the validation succeeds, continue. The client could be a victim of a man-in-the middle attack and receive a valid signature in step 2. The validation would succeed, but the client wouldn't be talking to the right server. What am I missing?

    I am trying to fix a regular expression i have been using in php it finds all find filenames within a sentence / paragraph. The file names always look like this: /this-a-valid-page.php From help i have received on SOF my old pattern was modified to this which avoids full urls which is the issue i was having, but this pattern only finds one occurance at the begging of a string, nothing inside the string. /^\/(.*?).php/ I have a live example here: http://vzio.com/upload/reg_pattern.php

    I'm not 100% on how to do this so i'm asking... May seem stupid but... How do I convert a string into an integer? Background info: I have a textbox I have the user enter a number into... it then: EditText et = (EditText) findViewById(R.id.entry1); String hello = et.getText().toString(); gets the string 'hello' Now I want to convert it to a integer so I can get the number they typed in -will be used later on in code...     Hello, I am using git with an svn repository everything is going fine I did all my branching with git so I did not branch on svn but I branched with git and pushed those branches to a separate location. Then I commited changed from the branch when needed. But now I want to create some branches that actually exist on svn I tried: $ git svn branch someFeature -m "message" ,and I got this: $ git svn branch someFeature -m "message" Multiple branch paths defined for Subversion repository. You must specify where you want to create the branch with the --destination argument. How should I specify the destination I cant figure this out and the man page isn't that clear also.

  • WxPython Incompatible With Snow Leopard?

    Hello all, Recently I upgraded to Snow Leopard, and now I can't run programs built with wxPython. However, it is 4 years old and I have a JPA compliant Java application to contend with. In addition, I see that there is a JPATemplate in Spring that has some good functionality, but the Spring documentation says it is already deprecated! Can anybody point me to a solid, modern, JPA compliant, Spring based, working example of a GenericDAOImpl that proxies an Interface to provide generic finder execution?

  • Macbook memory upgrade question

    I've read some conflicting articles on Macbooks and memory upgrades. Some say you have to buy the "special" Mac memory (bulls$%t), others say manufacturers like Partriot and Ocz will work fine. My Macbook (non-pro) is about 6 mos old with it's 2 GB of memory (SO-DIMM 1066MHz DDR3). Does anyone have any definitive information of what will work? Thanks!

  • can I read exactly one UDP packet off a socket?

    Using UNIX socket APIs on Linux, is there any way to guarantee that I read one UDP packet, and only one UDP packet? I'm currently reading packets off a non-blocking socket using recvmsg, with a buffer size a little larger than the MTU of our internal network. This should ensure that I can always receive the full UDP packet, but I'm not sure I can guarantee that I'll never receive more than one packet per recvmsg call, if the packets are small. The recvmsg man pages reference the MSG_WAITALL option, which attempts to wait until the buffer is filled. We're not using this, so does that imply that recvmsg will always return after one datagram is read? Is there any way to guarantee this? Ideally I'd like a cross-UNIX solution, but if that doesn't exist is there something Linux specific?
