  I am new to Ubuntu, recently I installed ubuntu 12.04 in Vm Player (Virtual Machine) on my Dell laptop having windows 7 ultimate 32 bit for just to check the security of my wireless network and want to crack the WiFi (WPA-PSK) password but in ubuntu it does not show the wireless network it shows the 2 arrow sign as i have not connect the ethernet cable to my laptop and connected through WiFi on my main OS (windows 7) but it shows the wired network and internet is working but it does not show wifi connection. On windows 7 WiFi is connected and showing the WiFi connection and working correctly.But my main motive is to crack the WiFi password as it can't detect WiFi network so what to do?   I want to know how to create a large game which has more than one level in it and those levels are loaded from the xml file. In my game I have many objects for each different level which I have to load when use click on it. At present for example my game contain 20 levels and now I was loading all the graphic object for all 20 levels. But the correct way was that only load graphic of that particular level only. So I don't know how to do that. So please explain this by providing game example. At present I was creating a class for each my game object image by extending sprite to it. I would like to know of an algorithm (sequence of steps :)) that could describe my approach towards learning programming in general. I have posted small questions on Perl/Python and I have recieved great help from everyone. Note:- I am not in a hurry to learn. I know it takes time and that's fine. Please give any suggestions you think are valid. Also, please don't push me to learn Lisp, Haskell etc - I am a beginner.

  I installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS using Wubi in the D: drive of my PC. I have Vista installed in the C: drive. I have forgotten my password for my Ubuntu Admin Account. I only have only access to the Guest login. Please note, I don't see any GRUB menu and get only Vista & Ubuntu as options while booting. I can't get into Recovery Mode of Ubuntu using Shift, ESC or any other way. Please let me know how to reset the password.

I deleted Wubi from my Windows desktop after installation. All I want is to expand my Ubuntu operating system. I plan to gradually transition from Windows to Ubuntu and so I'll need to transfer more files and programs from Windows to Ubuntu in the future. Right now, I already need more GiBs for Ubuntu. I can barely use Ubuntu right now because there's almost no space left. I simply want Ubuntu to use what space I need it to use. People, please quit complicating this issue and inform me how to make Ubuntu use more space.

  Can hit Ctrl-Alt-F1 and login but no fixes work. Tried nomodeset and everything else appears to have upgraded but can't see anything. I really need this computer to work. It is an old Dell with 1.6 processor with old school monitor. I don't know why people are giving my question negative votes. If you know how to fix this, then please help me, as I have read and tried all the solutions that I've found. Just for the record reformatting is not fixing it, and I can't get a boot CD to load either. If you know how to use the blank screen fix tutorial, please explain cos I'm lost. Most people don't understand this stuff and an easy "how-to" fix would be nice.

  I'm am fairly new to Ubuntu and am finding it absolutely wonderful except for one thing, which is the inability to move the launcher. I am used to using windows, and though I hated it, I would like the ability to move the launcher to the bottom, both because I find it more convenient and familiar.   I am searching for any good site that teaches C++, that can explain most to all things about it(general) and has a decent active community. About Me: I am new to programming(knows nothing of it, so please bare with me), I have only learned(to a very basic form) LUA scripting Language, so yes I am your complete newbie. I got interested in programming, from scripting in LUA, so you can say it was my small stepping stone, One would basically take a course in college, but not everyone is well funded for that and I can't buy books for the same said reason(yes I'm somewhat poor, only money for essentials and bills), I'm not trying to get sympathy, just stating my conditions. and Please, something in between the lines of 'Programming for Dummies'(I'm not the brightest crayon in the box), I know this will not be easy, but your help will be most appreciated. I would learn for either Windows and/or Linux/Unix. I use both. Site(s) I know: Cplusplus.org(quite inactive and tutorials are a little for the programming savvy.
