• Ruby syntax error: unexpected $end, expecting keyword_end

  I am supposed to: Capitalize the first letter of string. Capitalize every word except articles (the, a, an), conjunctions (and), and prepositions (in). Capitalize i (as in "I am male."). Specify the first word of a string (I actually have no idea what this means. I'm trying to run the spec file to test other functions). When the application is runs, it throws the error directory not found. But surely if the directory doesn't exists is should step into the else statement? a simple application that is becoming a headache!!

• iPhone settings not honoured

  My iPhone app has the following problem: Freshly installed, when I read out my "Play Sound" preference with the following code: defaults = [NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults]; NSLog(@"Play Sounds? %d", [defaults boolForKey:@"play_sounds_preference"]); The setting always reads out as false, even though the default setting is set to true. Any ideas?   Since I am new to java programming, I need a bit of help with this. I stuck on this one issue and can't continue until I get this to work. I am trying to make a string from that includes a preference int. I saved the data and can display the int (just sample code): SharedPreferences prefs=PreferenceManager .getDefaultSharedPreferences(this); list.setText(prefs.getString("list", "22")); now, I have a xml parser that is pulling a url correctly as a static string: public static String feedUrl = String.format("http://www.freshpointmarketing.com/iphone/objects/XML/AND.php?ID=%d", 22); Works great... now my issue...... • Difference between these two functions that find Palindromes....

  I wrote a function to check whether a word is palindrome or not but "unexpectedly", that function failed quite badly, here it is: bool isPalindrome (const string& s){ string reverse = ""; string original = s; for (string_sz i = 0; i != original.size(); ++i){ reverse += original.back(); original.pop_back(); } if (reverse == original) return true; else return false; } It gives me "string iterator offset out of range error" when you pass in a string with only one character and returns true even if we pass in an empty string (although I know its because of the intialisation of the reverse variable) and also when you pass in an unassigned string for example: string input; isPalindrome(input); Later, I found a better function which works as you would expect: bool found(const string& s) { bool found = true; for (string::const_iterator i = s.begin(), j = s.end() - 1; i < j; ++i, --j) { if (*i != *j) found = false; } return found; } Unlike the first function, this function correctly fails when you give it an unassigned string variable or an empty string and works for single characters and such... So, good people of stackoverflow please point out to me why the first function is so bad... Thank You.

  I wrote some AES encryption code in C# and I am having trouble getting it to encrypt and decrypt properly. If I enter "test" as the passphrase and "This data must be kept secret from everyone!" • WCF- Large Data

  I have a WCF Web Service with basicHTTPBinding , the server side the transfer mode is streamedRequest as the client will be sending us large file in the form of memory stream. But on client side when i use transfer mode as streamedRequest its giving me a this errro "The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request" And when i look in to trace information , i see this as the error message Exception: There is a problem with the XML that was received from the network. See inner exception for more details. InnerException: The body of the message cannot be read because it is empty. I am able to send up to 5MB of data using trasfermode as buffered , but it will effect the performance of my web service in the long run , if there are many clients who are trying to access the service in buffered transfer mode. • BAD DC transfering FSMO Roles to ADC

  I have a DC (FQDN:server.icmcpk.local) and an ADC (FQDN:file-server.icmcpk.local). Recently my DC is facing a bad sector problem so I changed the Operation Masters to file-server for all five roles. but when ever i turn off the OLD DC the file-server also stops wroking with AD and GPMC further i m also unable to join any other computer to this domain. For Test purpose i also added a new ADC (FQDN:wds-server.icmcpk.local) but no succes with the old DC off i had to turn the old DC on and then joined it. I m attaching the Dcdiags for all three servers. It was working fine with sqlite but now with sql i am getting an error when it is processing the files. • Can I include the path and query string in an IIS "Error Pages" redirect?

  I'm setting up a custom 403.4 handler so that non-SSL requests to my site are redirected to a different URL - and what I'd like to do is to include the script path and query string in the redirect, so that a user who requests http://www.site.com/foo?bar=1 will be redirected to https://www.site.com/foo?bar=1 I know something similar is possible when configuring a top-level site redirect, using the $S, $Q, %v tokens referred to in this IIS reference page - but this syntax doesn't seem to work when configuring a custom error redirect.
