  I need to move a section of my website to another server because it is taxing our current web server. However, I cannot afford to lose page rank on any pages within the section of the site that must be moved. Furthermore, the URL of the pages must not be changed... visitors must still see the same URL, even though it would be served up by different hardware from a different data center.   I'd like to change the keyboard mapping from command-line (Terminal) in Mac OS X Lion (10.7). I can manually set it (System Preferences - Language & Text - Input Sources), and there's a nice option that lets me use different input sources for different documents, but I'd like to bind it to a key under zsh to easily swap between Qwerty and Dvorak layouts (I'm learning Dvorak, and having the option to switch easily would be sensational).

• Manage build target variables in iphone project

  We're transitioning to an automated build process for our iphone projects. These projects can be checked out by individual devs, in which case all the API URLs need to point to a certain path. There are also a variety of build environments, each with their own API root paths. I could probably add multiple, different build targets, and have each of them include a different URLs definition file, but this seems like a lot of upkeep and a bit overkill. Any best practices out there for swapping a few environmental variables for different build environments without much fuss?

  Let's say I'm writing an application which works with projects, and exposes different functionality depending on the type of the project. I have a hierarchy of classes for the different types of projects: class AbstractProject { }; class ProjectA : public AbstractProject { }; class ProjectB : public AbstractProject { }; class ProjectC : public AbstractProject { }; Now, I was planning to have an AbstractProject *_currentProject pointer as a member in the application's main class, pop up a dialog box on startup and based on the selection, do: _currentProject = new ProjectB(); // e.g. Later, I'll have to downcast the pointer to the specific type to utilize the functionality specific to different Project-s. Somehow this makes me feel uneasy. Is there a Better Way of doing this?

Since a colleague and me are working on the server almost all the time and another colleague also wants to connect there is always the need to disconnect one user which is bad. Is there a possibility to increase the number of allowed users? On another server there are more than 2 users allowed. What is different there?

• SQL server connection trouble in network but not in local

  for the first time that I would work with SQL SERVER 2005, the jdbc connection doesn't work in the network I searched and have done thousand of things that doesn't work, i also want to precise that i already had worked with other DBMS, so here is the problem: when i try to connect by jdbc from the machine where sql server is installed everything work just fine, but when i try from a different machine, the jdbc is unable to create the connection, i already checked that TCP/IP communication is enabled that the port (not dynamically assigned) is 1433 and i even tried with different ports, i also tried with the same driver and different driver, i checked that i was able to communicate with the http server (who is installed in the machine where SQL server is installed) and it works but that jdbc connection can't, i tried thousand of things until i forgot some of them, someone please help

I mean can't there be two files names AFile.h (in different directories) with same include guards and declaring different namespaces? For example see this screenshot: I am interested in the dark blue background. I heard that this background is somehow adapted to your chosen color theme. So many different variations should exist. • Is it possible to use an incremental value within a variable name whilst declaring it within a loop?

  Hi, I'm creating function which will read different XML files each time that will contain different amounts of the same nodes. I have already created a loop which stores the ID of each node into an array, and now I want to create variables for each array member which store attributes of the node with each ID. Because the number of nodes will be different for every XML document my function reads, I cannot manually assign variables for the attributes of each node ID not knowing how many to assign, so I have created a loop which runs specific to the number of items I have stored in the array. Inside this loop I was hoping to have something like: for (i=0; i<array.length; i++) { var ID + i + width = exampleheight var ID + i + height = exampleheight } I know this doesn't work, but was trying to outline what I am looking to find out. Is it possible to use some kind of variable or random number when declaring a variable?

  I know that in the sdk folders I can find some (not very well grouped, imho) icon. But, there is a site online specialized that let you download free icons useful for mobile app? Ie world flags, up, down... save, revert..., next..., play, stop..., etc. It would be more appriciated also if you can find these sets in many different colors, and in 2 or 3 sizes (32x32, 64x64, etc.). Have a nice day (ot. Especially my mom - her 62 birthday :-) Edit: those are all good sites, but to green-check the answer I need a small set with the common icons (I think moreabout 50-70 icons), in many different colors and in 2 or 3 different sizes (for lo-mid-hi definition devices). - If a so done site exists for free :-)

I need to show more than 3 histograms and want to have different patterns on them like hash, dotted, double hashed etc instead of different colors in the legend. I am using MS Excel 2007. • scp stalls and ssh sessions freeze up (but eventually start again)

  I am running ubuntu on various computers on a home wireless network. Some are on 9.04x64, some 10.04x64 and one 9.04x32. Running scp with a large file starts out at 2.1 mbps and drops down to about 200k, stalling and dropping until the transfer is complete. I've noticed this when I have a secure shell open on any of these servers as well. I have tried this with 2 different routers, both brand new, different brands.

  I am searching one student from each class from one group. There are different class groups and every group has different classes and every class has multiple students. Above mentioned query giving me correct results but I need little modification in it. Current query returning me one student from each class. What I need? I need one student from each class but only that student who has MAXIMUM table1.marks So I should have one student from each class who has maximum number in their relevant classes. Can anyone suggest some solution or rewrite this query? Thanks :)

This is especially useful when users who have many different interests and skill levels share the same database. For example, a view can be created that retrieves only the data for the customers with whom an account manager deals. The view can determine which data to retrieve based on the login ID of the account manager who uses the view. My question: For the above example , i would have to have a column named Userid/LoginId on my table on which the view is created so that i can apply a check option in the view for this column. and then if a user with a name not in that column tries to enter data , then he/she is blocked.

  I would like to accomplish the following: If a username or password field is null, notify the user. If user name already exists, do not insert into the database and notify user to create a different name. if the username is unique and password is not null, return the username to the user. As of now it always returns "Please enter a different user name." I believe the issue has to do with the database query but I am not sure. For example, do your domain objects go in a namespace MyProject.Domain or whatever? Would you separate the concrete implementations and the interfaces? In different namespaces? Different folders? Different solutions? I know a lot of this is subjective and dependent on project size, but a few pointers or suggestions to get started on a relatively small but extensible n-tier project would be useful.

  Is there a tool collect and count all different stacktraces in a bunch of server logfiles? Sometimes you have just too many stacktraces that repeat over and over. So it can be difficult to spot different problems between the stacktraces. So the idea would be to have a tool that looks for stacktraces, compares them and counts them. It would be nice if the tool could ignore minor differences (e.g. $Proxy150.dispatchCalls() versus $Proxy25.dispatchCalls() ).

  Hi, I would like to create a picture in PHP with GD composed by different other pictures. For example I have 6 pictures (or more) and I would like to create ONE picture who contain these different pictures. The Difficulty is that my final picture must have a fixed width and height (304x179), so if the different pictures are too big they must be cut. This is an example from IconFinder : This picture is composed by 6 images, but the 3rd bird (green) is cutted, and the 4, 5 and 6 are cutted in the bottom. So I used the following, which essentially parses the Date command to extract its sub strings into a variable: set Day=%Date:~3,2% set Mth=%Date:~0,2% set Yr=%Date:~6,4% This is all great, but if I deploy this batch file to a machine with a different regional/country settings, it fails because month, day and year are in different locations. How can I extract month, day and year regardless of the date format?

• jquery.position() isn't working correctly.

  I'm working on a menu system where I want a ul to show as a dropdown when the users does a mouseOver on li in another ul. I thought I'd use position to set the position of the dropdown (so it actually looks like a menu). What I want is the dropdown's top left corner to start at the same place as the bottom left corner of the wrapping listitem. Unfortunately the positioning fails in several different ways: In Firefox it seems like the dropdown's are offset with approximately -100 25 pixels the first item in the list has a different offset on the left side compared to the other items The offset in IE is not the same as in FF Doing the positioning repeatedly in explorer results in different positions each time.
