  • Realizing program with decision tree logics

    - by Vytas999
The system realizes a game “Think animal”. Main use case is: 1. System offers user to think about any animal and the system will try to guess it 2. The system starts asking questions from the start of decision tree. Ex., “Question: It has fur?”, and provides possible answers – yes or no. 3. If the user answers Yes, the system proceeds to these steps: a. System tries to guess animal that has that feature, ex. “My guess: Is it bear?” and provides with possible answers – yes or no. b. If the user answer is Yes, the system offers to think off another animal 4. If the user answers is No, the system moves to No node in decision tree and moves to 2 step (and starts from asking from new node). 5. If system runs out of nodes (i.e., empty yes or no node was reached): a. the system announces that it has given up, and ask user to enter: i. What animal he had in mind ii. What is his characteristic feature b. User enters requested data c. The system creates a new node and links it to yes or no of last active node. Where i can get some information and some examples, when implementing decision tree logics in MS SQL Server and C#..? Any information will be usefull. Thanks

  • Concurrency and Coordination Runtime (CCR) Learning Resources

    - by Harry
I have recently been learning the in's and out's of the Concurrency and Coordination Runtime (CCR). Finding good learning resources for this relatively new technology has been quite difficult. (A quick google search brings up "Creedence Clearwater Revival" as the top result!) Some of the resources I have found: Free e-book chapter from WROX on the Robotics Developer Studio Good Article/post on InfoQ Robotic's Member blog Very active MSDN CCR Forum - Got plenty of help from here! Great MSDN Magazine by Jeffrey Richter Official CCR User Guide - Didn't find this very helpful Great blogging series on CCR iodyner CCR Related Blog - Update: Moved to here Eight or so Videos on Channel9.msdn.com CCR Patterns page on MS Robotics Studio - I haven't read this yet 4 x CCR Questions on Stackoverflow - Most of the questions have been Mine! LOL CCR and DSS toolkit has now been released to MSDN Members Do you have any good learning resources for the CCR? I really hope that Microsoft will publish more material, so far it has been too Robotics specific. I believe that MS needs to acknowledge that most people are using the CCR in issolation from the DSS and Robotics Studio. Update The Mix 2010 conference had a presentation by Myspace about how they have used the CCR framework in their middle tier. They also open sourced the code base. • PHP: Aggregate Model Classes or Uber Model Classes?

    - by sunwukung
In many of the discussions regarding the M in MVC, (sidestepping ORM controversies for a moment), I commonly see Model classes described as object representations of table data (be that an Active Record, Table Gateway, Row Gateway or Domain Model/Mapper). Martin Fowler warns against the development of an anemic domain model, i.e. a class that is nothing more than a wrapper for CRUD functionality. I've been working on an MVC application for a couple of months now. The DBAL in the application I'm working on started out simple (on account of my understanding - oh the benefits of hindsight), and is organised so that Controllers invoke Business Logic classes, that in turn access the database via DAO/Transaction Scripts pertinent to the task at hand. There are a few "Entity" classes that aggregate these DAO objects to provide a convenient CRUD wrapper, but also embody some of the "behaviour" of that Domain concept (for example, a user - since it's easy to isolate). Taking a look at some of the code, and thinking along refactoring some of the code into a Rich Domain Model, it occurred to me that were I to try and wrap the CRUD routines and behaviour of say, a Company into a single "Model" class, that would be a sizeable class. So, my question is this: do Models represent domain objects, business logic, service layers, all of the above combined? How do you go about defining the responsibilities for these components?

  • How to write this Link2Sql select query

    - by RememberME
I have 3 tables: subcontracts, companies and contacts. Each table has a active_status flags which shows that the item is still active (hasn't been deleted). Each contact has a company_id field which stores the id of the contact's company. Each subcontract has a company_id field which stores the subcontract's company. Each company has a company_id field which holds its guid and a primary_company field, b/c the company could be a subsidiary. If it's a subsidiary, the primary_company field holds the id of the primary company. I have a subcontract form. On the form, I have a drop-down of contacts which are stored in a contact table. Currently the drop-down lists all contacts. I would like to have the drop-down only list contacts which belong to the subcontract's company or any of that company's subsidiaries. I have the following query which I use elsewhere in the program to pass a company_id and get its subsidiaries. public IQueryable<company> GetSubsidiaryCompanies(Guid id) { return from c in db.companies where c.primary_company == id && c.active_status == true select c; } This is my current contact selection public IQueryable<contact> GetContacts() { return from c in db.contacts where c.active_status == true orderby c.contact_name select c; } What I need to do is pass it the subcontract.company_id and then only return the contacts where contact.company_id == subcontract.company_id or contact.company_id == one of the subsidiary ids.

  • When do you tag your software project?

    - by WilhelmTell of Purple-Magenta
I realize there are various kinds of software projects: commercial (for John Doe) industrial (for Mr. Montgomery Burns) successful open-source (with audience larger than, say, 10 people) personal projects (with audience size in the vicinity of 1). each of which release a new version of their product on difference conditions. I'm particularly interested in the case of personal projects and open-source projects. When, or under what conditions, do you make a new release of any kind? Do you subscribe to a fixed recurring deadline such as every two weeks? Do you commit to a release of at least 10 minor fixes, or one major fix? Do you combine the two conditions such as at least one condition must hold, or both must hold? I reckon this is a subjective question. I ask this question in light of searching for tricks to keep my projects alive and kicking. Sometimes my projects are active but look as if they aren't because I don't have the confidence to make a release or a tag of any sort for a long time -- in the order of months.

  • Crazy TableView (Or more likely me being just a jerk) ;-)

    - by Miky Mike
Hi guy, I'm going crazy with all that objective C. I went to bed at 1.30 pm today, spending the night on my app but I love it... Well that's not the point anyway... My question is .... I have a table view which evaluates a statement when it displays its data : it goes like this : - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { static NSString *CellIdentifier = @"CustomCell"; cell = ((MainCell *)[self.tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier]); if (cell == nil) { [[NSBundle mainBundle] loadNibNamed:@"MainCell" owner:self options:nil]; } Entry *entry = [fetchedResultsController objectAtIndexPath:indexPath]; cell.topLabel.text = [@"* " stringByAppendingString: entry.entryname]; cell.bottomLabel.text = entry.textbody; if ([entry.active boolValue] == YES) { cell.cellImageView.image = [UIImage imageNamed:@"check.png"]; } else { cell.cellImageView.image = nil; cell.accessoryType = UITableViewCellAccessoryDetailDisclosureButton; } return cell; } The problem is that the first time it displays the data, the conditions are met when I scroll down the tableview but when I scroll up, sometimes, I get my "check.png" image and the accessory as well, which is not possible normally. Am I going crazy or is it the tableview ? Could you help me with that please, I can't figure out why it doesn't work... :-(( Thanks a lot in advance. Mike

  • Please help debug this ASP.Net [VB] code. Trying to write to text file from SQL Server DB.

    - by NJTechGuy
I am a PHP programmer. I have no .Net coding experience (last seen it 4 years ago). Not interested in code-behind model since this is a quick temporary hack. What I am trying to do is generate an output.txt file whenever the user submits new data. So an output.txt file if exists should be replaced with the new one. I want to write data in this format : 123|Java Programmer|2010-01-01|2010-02-03 124|VB Programmer|2010-01-01|2010-02-03 125|.Net Programmer|2010-01-01|2010-02-03 I don't know VB, so not sure about string manipulations. Hope a kind soul can help me with this. I will be grateful to you. • jQuery loading issues within wordpress

    - by Chase
I am having a couple problems trying to manually insert some jQuery features into a wordpress theme. I have a lightbox wordpress plugin that is jQuery based that is working fine. So if I manually load the jQuery script into wordpress the functions seem to work but instead of say a slide being hidden it is revealed when it should still be hidden. Or a pop up that should work is already being shown instead of hidden. I don't think I'm supposed to manually include the jQuery into my skin but using the wp_enqueue_script('jquery'); doesn't seem to be resolving my issues either. <script src="http://platform.twitter.com/anywhere.js?id=i5CnpkmwnlWpDdAZGVpxw&v=1" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $(".btn-slide").click(function(){ $("#twitpanel").slideToggle("slow"); $(this).toggleClass("active"); }); }); </script> <div id="tweetit"><a class="btn-slide">Tell em'</a> <div id="twitpanel"></div> <script type="text/javascript"> twttr.anywhere(function (T) { T("#twitpanel").tweetBox({ height: 100, width: 225, defaultContent: "Some Random Text" }); }); </script> </div></h2> Like I said it works but in the reverse fashion that it should be. I think I'm just loading in something wrong? TIA, Chase

  • How can we best represent the SDLC process as a board game?

    - by Innogetics
I recently got interested in financial board games and saw how they can be very useful in educating children about certain concepts. It got me thinking whether it was also possible to represent certain aspects of executing a software project via a boardgame and make it fun. Here are a few things that I have come up so far: human resources and tools / techniques are represented as cards. requirements are also represented as cards, which are dealt equally to each player, and the objective is to move all requirement cards through an "SDLC" board (one per player) that represent a series of squares grouped according to phases (design all the way to deployment) the passage of time is represented in a main square board like monopoly, and completing a trip around the board (passing "Go") allows the player to move each of the requirement cards a number of steps through the SDLC board depending on the capability of the resource cards (senior programmer allows one requirement to move two squares in the dev phase, junior programmer only one, etc.) players will start with play money representing the project budget, and at every pass at "Go" is payday. the player is out of the game if he runs out of funds. the main board also has "chance" / "risk" cards, which represent things that can mess up a project. damage is applied at the roll of a die, and chance modifiers depend on whether the user has "bought" tools / techniques. I haven't implemented this idea yet as I'm still looking at more play elements that can make the game more engaging, as well as soliciting for more ideas. I am planning to release this under Creative Commons license but haven't decided on the exact license yet. Any more game play suggestions are welcome. UPDATE: This was posted in BoardGameGeek and there's now an active discussion thread there. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/article/4436694

  • Emacs 23.2 opens a new window for each compile error/warning navigated to

    - by Grant Limberg
I've recently upgraded from Carbon Emacs (v22.3) to vanilla Emacs 23.2 (from http://www.emacsformacosx.com). On Carbon Emacs when compiling a project, The frame is split in two with the current source file/SConscript in the top window, and the compile output in the bottom window. I'd hit C-x ` to navigate to the first warning or error in the compile output and it would replace whatever was in the top window with the source file the error or warning is in. In Emacs 23.2, however, a 3rd window is opened causing two windows open in the top half of the frame (split vertically) and the compile output in the window of the bottom half of the frame. How do I tell Emacs to not open a new window and instead open the code in the the existing non-compiler output window in the frame? A little further clarification on the behavior that I just noticed. If I hit C-x ` while the buffer containing the source file or SConscript file is active, no new window is opened. It's only if I'm manually navigating through the *compilation* buffer and hitting enter on an error or warning, or mouse clicking on a warning when a third buffer window appears.

(in /home/myusername/approotlocation) my custom rake file within lib/tasks is as follows: task :sendnewsletter => :environment do require 'rubygems' require 'chronic' require 'whenever' require 'searchlogic' require 'adzap-ar_mailer' require 'twitter' require 'gdata' require 'bitly' require 'ruby-recaptcha' @recipients = Subscription.all(:conditions => {:active => true}) for user in @recipients Email.send_later(:deliver_send_newsletter,user) end end with or without the require items, it still gives me the same error ... can anyone shed some light on this? or alternatively advise me on how to make a custom file within the script directory that will run this function (I already have a cron job working that will run and process all my delayed_jobs. Cheers!

  • KeyUp processed for wrong control

    - by Mikael
I have made a simple test application for the issue, two winforms each containing a button. The button on the first form opens the other form when clicked. It also subscribes to keyup events. The second form has its button set as "AcceptButton" and in the Clicked event we sleep for 1s and then set DialogResult to true (the sleep is to simulate some processing done) When enter is used to close this second form the KeyUp event of the button on the first form is triggered, even though the key was released well before the second had passed so the second form was still shown and focused. If any key other then enter is pressed in the second form the event is not triggered for the button on the first form. First form: public Form1() { InitializeComponent(); buttonForm2.KeyUp += new KeyEventHandler(cntKeyUp); } void cntKeyUp(object sender, KeyEventArgs e) { MessageBox.Show(e.KeyCode.ToString()); } private void buttonForm2_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { using (Form2 f = new Form2()) { f.ShowDialog(); } } Second form: private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { Thread.Sleep(1000); this.DialogResult = DialogResult.OK; } Does anyone know why the event is triggered for the button on the non active form and what can be done to stop this from happening?

  • jQuery Accordion: IE animation issues

    - by Nathan Long
Update I am making this a community wiki, for three reasons: I don't feel like I got a definitive answer, but I have long since stopped needing an answer, because I rolled my own accordion function this question gets tons of views, so clearly lots of people are still interested So if anybody wants to change/clarify this question and make it a definitive guide, be my guest. I'm working on a page using jQuery's accordion UI element. I modeled my HTML on that example, except that inside the <li> elements, I have some unordered lists of links. Like this: $(document).ready(function() { $(".ui-accordion-container").accordion( {active: "a.default", alwaysOpen: true, autoHeight: false} ); }); <ul class="ui-accordion-container"> <li> <!-- Start accordion section --> <a href='#' class="accordion-label">A Group of Links</a> <ul class="linklist"> <li><a href="http://example.com">Example Link</a></li> <li><a href="http://example.com">Example Link</a></li> </ul> <!--and of course there's another group --> Problem: IE Animation stinks Although IE7 animates the documentation's example accordion menu just fine, it has problems with mine. Specifically, one accordion menu on the page moves jerkily and has flashes of content. I know that it's not a CSS issue because the same thing happens if I don't include my CSS files. The other accordion menu on the page opens the first section you click and, after that, won't open any of them. Both of these problems are IE-specific, and both go away if I use the option animated: false. But I'd like to keep the default slide animation, since it helps the user understand what the menu is doing. Is there another way?

  • Resetting a PChar variable

    - by scott-thornton
Hi, I don't know much about delphi win 32 programming, but I hope someone can answer my question. I get duplicate l_sGetUniqueIdBuffer saved into the database which I want to avoid. The l_sGetUniqueIdBuffer is actually different ( the value of l_sAuthorisationContent is xml, and I can see a different value generated by the call to getUniqueId) between rows. This problem is intermittant ( duplicates are rare...) There is only milliseconds difference between the update date between the rows. Given: ( unnesseary code cut out) l_sGetUniqueIdBuffer: PChar; FOutputBufferSize : integer; FOutputBufferSize := 1024; while( not dmAccomClaim.ADOQuClaimIdentification.Eof ) do begin // Get a unique id for the request l_sGetUniqueIdBuffer := AllocMem (FOutputBufferSize); l_returnCode := getUniqueId (m_APISessionId^, l_sGetUniqueIdBuffer, FOutputBufferSize); dmAccomClaim.ADOQuAddContent.Active := False; dmAccomClaim.ADOQuAddContent.Parameters.ParamByName('pContent').Value := (WideString(l_sAuthorisationContent)); dmAccomClaim.ADOQuAddContent.Parameters.ParamByName('pClaimId').Value := dmAccomClaim.ADOQuClaimIdentification.FieldByName('SB_CLAIM_ID').AsString; dmAccomClaim.ADOQuAddContent.Parameters.ParamByName('pUniqueId').Value := string(l_sGetUniqueIdBuffer); dmAccomClaim.ADOQuAddContent.ExecSQL; FreeMem( l_sAuthorisationContent, l_iAuthoriseContentSize ); FreeMem( l_sGetUniqueIdBuffer, FOutputBufferSize ); end; I guess i need to know, is the value in l_sGetUniqueIdBuffer being reset for every row??

  • Javascript Mouseover bubbling from children

    - by Nicky De Maeyer
Ive got the following html setup: <div id="div1"> <div id="content1">blaat</div> <div id="content1">blaat2</div> </div> it is styled so you can NOT hover div1 without hovering one of the other 2 divs. Now i've got a mouseout on div1. The problem is that my div1.mouseout gets triggered when i move from content1 to content2, because their mouseouts are bubbling. and the event's target, currentTarget or relatedTarget properties are never div1, since it is never hovered directly... I've been searching mad for this, but I can only find articles and solutions for problems who are the reverse of what I need. It seems trivial but I can't get it to work... The mouseout of div1 should ONLY get triggered when the mouse leaves div1. One of the possibilities would be to set some data on mouse enter and mouseleave, but I'm convinced this should work out of the box, since it is just a mouseout... EDIT: bar.mouseleave(function(e) { if ($(e.currentTarget).attr('id') == bar.attr('id')) { bar.css('top', '-'+contentOuterHeight+'px'); $('#floatable-bar #floatable-bar-tabs span').removeClass('active'); } }); changed the mouseout to mouseleave and the code worked...

  • ASP.net drop down dynamically styling and then remembering the styles on aborted submit

    - by peacedog
So, I've got an ASP drop down list (this is .net 2.0). I'm binding it with data. Basically, when the page loads and it's not a post back we'll fetch record data, bind all the drop downs, and set them to their appropriate values (strictly speaking we: initialize page with basic set of data from DB, bind drop downs from DB, fetch actual record data from DB, set drown downs to appropriate settings at this time). What I want to do is selectively style the list options. So the database returns 3 items: ID, Text, and a flag indicating whether I the record is "active" (and I'll style appropriately). It's easy enough to do and I've done it. My problem is what happens when a form submission is halted. We have slightly extended the Page class and created an AddError() method, which will create a list of errors from failed business rule checks and then display them in a ValidationSummary. It works something like this, in the submit button's click event: CheckBizRules(); if(Page.IsValid) { SaveData(); } If any business rule check fails, the Page will not be valid. The problem is, when the page re-renders (viewsate is enabled, but no data is rebound) my beautiful conditional styling is now sadly gone, off to live in the land of the missing socks. I need to preserve it. I was hoping to avoid another DB call here (e.g. getting the list data back from the DB again if the page isn't valid, just for purposes of re-styling the list). But it's not the end of the world if that's my course of action. I was hoping someone might have an alternative suggestion. I couldn't think of how to phrase this question better, if anyone has any suggestions or needs clarification don't hesitate to get it, by force if need be. ;)

  • Modal dialog focus problems on WPF application

    - by Donal
Hi, I have a problem with my wpf application where a modal dialog will appear behind the main application causing it to hang. It is very inconsistent, where most of the time the pop-up works correctly and is shown in front but occasionally it will pop-up behind, which stops any interaction with it. I can still close the dialog using the taskbar if this happens. I have noticed that it generally occurs when lots of other applications are open and the taskbar is full. Also, I am working with two screens and the problem only occurs on the screen with the taskbar - very wierd! The dialog is a window control, which contains an injected usercontrol as it's data context. To set the owner of the window before calling ShowDialog(), the first active window in the application is used instead of Window.GetWindow(this): private static Window GetOwner() { if (Application.Current != null) { var owner = Application.Current.Windows.Cast().FirstOrDefault(w = w.IsActive); return owner ?? Application.Current.MainWindow; } return null; } Any ideas of what may be causing this problem? or even how to try and track it so I can gather more information when it happens? Thanks, Donal

This is what I'm currently doing: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/XPCOM_Interface_Reference/nsIScriptableIO downloadFile: function(httpLoc) { try { //new obj_URI object var obj_URI = Cc["@mozilla.org/network/io-service;1"].getService(Ci.nsIIOService). newURI(httpLoc, null, null); //new file object //set file with path obj_TargetFile.initWithPath("C:\\javascript\\cache\\test.pdf"); //if file doesn't exist, create if(!obj_TargetFile.exists()) { obj_TargetFile.create(0x00,0644); } //new persitence object var obj_Persist = Cc["@mozilla.org/embedding/browser/nsWebBrowserPersist;1"]. createInstance(Ci.nsIWebBrowserPersist); // with persist flags if desired const nsIWBP = Ci.nsIWebBrowserPersist; const flags = nsIWBP.PERSIST_FLAGS_REPLACE_EXISTING_FILES; obj_Persist.persistFlags = flags | nsIWBP.PERSIST_FLAGS_FROM_CACHE; //save file to target obj_Persist.saveURI(obj_URI,null,null,null,null,obj_TargetFile); return true; } catch (e) { alert(e); } },//end downloadFile As you can see the directory is hardcoded in there, I want to save the pdf file open in the active tab to a relative temporary directory, or anywhere that's out of the way enough that the user won't stumble along and delete it. I'm going to try that using File I/O, I was under the impression that what I was looking for was in scriptable file I/O and thus disabled.

  • Can any linux API or tool watch for any change in any folder below e.g. /SharedRoot or do I have to

    - by Simon B.
I have a folder with ~10 000 subfolders. Can any linux API or tool watch for any change in any folder below e.g. /SharedRoot or do I have to setup inotify for each folder? (i.e. I loose if I want to do this for 10k+ folders). I guess yes, since I've already seen examples of this inefficient method, for instance http://twistedmatrix.com/trac/browser/trunk/twisted/internet/inotify.py?rev=28866#L345 My problem: I need to keep folders time-sorted with most recently active "project" up top. When a file changes, each folder above that file should update its last-modified timestamp to match the file. Delays are ok. Opening a file (typically MS Excel) and closing again, its file date can jump up and then down again. For this reason I need to wait until after a file is closed, then queue the folder of that file for checking, and only a while later do I go and look for the newest file in its folder, since the filedate of the triggering file could already be back-dated to its original timestamp by Excel or similar programs. Also in case several files from same folder are used/created, it makes sense to buffer timestamping of that folders' parents to at least get a bunch of updates collapsed into one delayed update. I'm looking for a linux solution. I have some code that can be run on a windows server, most of the queing functionality is here: http://github.com/sesam/FolderdateFollowsFiles/blob/master/FolderdateFollowsFiles/Follower.vb Available API:s The relative of inotify on windows, ReadDirectoryChangesW, can watch a folder and its whole subtree; see bWatchSubtree on http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa365465(VS.85).aspx Samba? Patching samba source is a possibility, but perhaps there are already hooks available? Other possibilities, like client side (various windows versions) and spying on file activities in order to update folders recursively?

  • How do I prevent a C# method from executing using an attribute validator?

    - by Boydski
I'd like to create an attribute-based validator that goes a few steps beyond what I've seen in examples. It'll basically prevent methods or other functionality from executing. Please be aware that I'm having to use AzMan since I have no availability to Active Directory in this scenario. Here's some pseudo code of what what I'm looking for: // Attribute validator class AttributeUsage is arbitrary at this point and may include other items [AttributeUsage( AttributeTargets.Method | AttributeTargets.Property, AllowMultiple = true, Inherited = true )] public class PermissionsValidatorAttribute : Attribute { public PermissionsValidatorAttribute(PermissionEnumeration permission){...} public bool UserCanCreateAndEdit(){...} public bool UserCanDelete(){...} public bool UserCanUpload(){...} } Here's a sample of a class/member that'll be decorated. The method will not be executed at all if the PermissionValidator.UserCanDelete() doesn't return true from wherever it's executed: public class DoStuffNeedingPermissions { [PermissionValidator(PermissionEnumeration.MustHaveDeletePermission)] public void DeleteSomething(){...} } I know this is a simple, incomplete example. But you should get the gist of what I'm needing. Make the assumption that DeleteSomething() already exists and I'm preferring to NOT modify the code within the method at all. I'm currently looking at things like the Validation Application Block and am messing with custom attribute POC's. But I'd love to hear opinions with code samples from everyone out there. I'm also certainly not opposed to other methods of accomplishing the same thing such as extension methods or whatever may work to accomplish the same thing. Please remember I'm making the attempt to minimize changes to existing DoStuffNeedingPermissions code. Thanks everyone!

  • jQuery How do I move an element inside of another element

    - by TripWired
Hi I'm using grails navigation plugin and when it generates menus it put the sub navigation underneath the main menu, but i'm making my menu a vertical menu so i don't want the sub menu under the whole menu i want it under the active element. Example: this is how it generate the menu and sub menu <ul class="mainmenu"> <li>item1</li> <li>item2</li> <li>item3</li> </ul> <ul class="submenu"> <li>item1</li> <li>item2</li> <li>item3</li> </ul> What i want is: <ul class="mainmenu"> <li>item1 <ul class="submenu"> <li>item1</li> <li>item2</li> <li>item3</li> </ul> </li> <li>item2</li> <li>item3</li> </ul> Since i don't know of a way to make grails nav plugin do this i guess i'll have to make jquery do it after it's generated. Any ideas?

  • Session hijacking prevention...how far will my script get me? additional prevention procedures?

    - by Yusaf Khaliq
    When the user logs in the current session vairables are set $_SESSION['user']['timeout'] = time(); $_SESSION['user']['ip'] = $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']; $_SESSION['user']['agent'] = $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT']; In my common.php page (required on ALL php pages) i have used the below script, which resets a 15 minute timer each time the user is active furhtermore checks the IP address and checks the user_agent, if they do not match that as of when they first logged in/when the session was first set, the session is unset furthermore with inactivity of up to 15 minutes the session is also unset. ... is what i have done a good method for preventing session hijacking furthermore is it secure and or is it enough? If not what more can be done? if(!empty($_SESSION['user'])){ if ($_SESSION['user']['timeout'] + 15 * 60 < time()) { unset($_SESSION['user']); } else { $_SESSION['user']['timeout'] = time(); if($_SESSION['user']['ip'] != $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']){ unset($_SESSION['user']); } if($_SESSION['user']['agent'] != $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT']){ unset($_SESSION['user']); } } }
