• jQuery Click event on object added with JavaScript not working.

  I'm work on a quiz for school but I've bumped into a problem. I got a javascript file for custom radio buttons (CUSTOM FORM ELEMNTS by Ryan Fait if it's helping). The script hides the input buttons and adds custom styled spans instead. Now what I want, when I click one of these JavaScript added spans I want to remove disabled for a button called "Next Question" which when pressed takes you to the next question. The reason for this is that I don't want people to accidently got to the next question without choosing a answer. The problem is when I press the added spans nothing happens but when I press another identical span which I have added in the html it works just as intended. The span got the class radio which is the class I'm looking for in the jQuery. • Capturing stdout within the same process in Python

  I've got a python script that calls a bunch of functions, each of which writes output to stdout. Sometimes when I run it, I'd like to send the output in an e-mail (along with a generated file). I'd like to know how I can capture the output in memory so I can use the email module to build the e-mail. My ideas so far were: use a memory-mapped file (but it seems like I have to reserve space on disk for this, and I don't know how long the output will be) bypass all this and pipe the output to sendmail (but this may be difficult if I also want to attach the file)

  Hi I am trying to host a flash object inside an CAxWindow, I have managed to insert a shockwaveflash (SWF) and its working fine. I am trying to find all available API's that are available in the flash ocx. I am unable to find any documentation for the functions in the IShockwaveFlash interface. I know that Adobe doesn't have a documentation for using flash in VC++ but I was wondering if anyone can point me to a place where I can find an UNOFFICIAL documentation for flash.ocx or code samples as the only API that I could find and I'm currently using is "PutMovie". Any help is appreciated...

• When a template is rendered in template tag code, MEDIA_URL is not in context

  I want to use a template for 2 template tags. In the template, I used {{ MEDIA_URL }} and discovered that MEDIA_URL is not in context as expected. Had to use get_config and pass it manually. Why is the setting not in context, how else can I put it there, or maybe there's a better way that a template tag? • Read Text From Windows Form

  I would like, if for no other reason that an academic exercise, to be able to read text written to a form on a Windows Application. The program appears to be written in non-.NET, but in .NET terms, I think you would describe the program as having a Form with a Label and I would like to read the text from that label. I believe I can see that text being written to the screen with the User32!TextOut (and in other areas User32!DrawString) function. However, it would be nice if I didn't have to hook that function to get the information I'm looking for, but instead if I could just read it from the form directly. So, given a handle to a Window, is it possible to read the text that has been written to that window with functions like TextOut and DrawString using some similar API or other clever means? Or am I going about this the wrong way? Should I just hook the function and look for the text in every call and pray? Thanks!

• Checking if parsed date is within a date range

  So I am using a scripting language with c++-like syntax, and I am trying to think of the best way to check if a date is within range. The problem I am running into is that if the current day is in a new month, the check is failing. Here is what my code looks like: if(iMonth >= iStartMonth && iMonth <= iEndMonth) { if(iDay >= iStartDay && iDay <= iEndDay) { if(iYear >= iStartYear && iYear <= iEndYear) { bEnabled = true; return; When I have something like this: Start date: 3 27 2010 End Date: 4 15 2010 Current Date: 3 31 2010 The day check fails because if (iDay <= iEndDay) does not pass. The scripting language doesn't have a lot of time related functions, and I can't compare timestamps because I'm allowing users to put like "03:27:2010" and "04:15:2010" as start/end dates in a config file. I'm assuming I am just not thinking straight and missing an easy fix.

• PHP APC - Why is loading cached array op codes slow?

  I'm using APC to reduce my loading time for my PHP files. My files load very fast, except for one file where I define more than 100 arrays. This 270 kb file takes 200 ms to load. The rest of the files are full of objects, methods, and functions. I'm wondering: does OP code caching not work as well for arrays? My APC cache should be big enough to handle all of my classes. Currently 40% of my cache is free. My hit rate is 99%. apc.shm_size=32 M apc.max_file_size = 1M apc.shm_segments= 1 APC 3.1.6 I'm using PHP 5.2, Apache 2, and Windows Vista.

• Long IF tree with strings

  I have a C program which uses Lua for scripting. In order to keep readability and avoid importing several constants within the individual Lua states, I condense a large amount of functions within a simple call (such as "ObjectSet(id, "ANGLE", 45)"), by using an "action" string. To do this I have a large if tree comparing the action string to a list (such as "if(stringcompare(action, "ANGLE") ... else if (stringcompare(action, "X")... etc") This approach works well, and within the program it's not really slow, and is fairly quick to add a new action. But I kind of feel perfectionist. Is there a better way to do this in C? And having Lua in heavy use, maybe there is a way to use it for this purpose? (embedded "chunks" making a dictionary?) Although this part is mostly curiosity.

• How do I use compiler intrinsic __fmul_?

  I am writing a massively parallel GPU application. I have been optimizing it by hand. I received a 20% performance increase with _fdividef(x, y), and according to The Cuda C Programming Guide (section C.2.1), using similar functions for multiplication and adding is also beneficial. The function is stated as this: "_fmulrn,rz,ru,rd". __fdividef(x,y) was not stated with the arguments in brackets. I was wondering, what are those brackets? If I run the simple code: int t = __fmul_(5,4); I a compiler error about how _fmul is undefined. I have the CUDA runtime included, so I don't think it is a setup thing; rather it is something to do with those square brackets. How do I correctly use this function? Thank you.

• Is there a function that can read a php function post-parsing?

  I've got a php file echoing hashes from a MySQL database. This is necessary for a remote program I'm using, but at the same time I need my other php script opening and checking it for specified strings POST parsing. If it checks for the string pre-parsing, it'll just get the MySQL query rather than the strings to look for. I'm not sure if any functions do this. Does fopen() read the file prior to parsing? or file_get_contents()? If so, is there a function that'll read the file after the php and mysql code runs? The file with the hashes query and echo is in the same directory as the php file reading it, if that makes a difference. Perhaps fopen reads it post-parse, and I've done something wrong, but at first I was storing the hashes directly in the file, and it was working fine. After I changed it to echo the contents of the MySQL table, it bugged out.

  I'm using the built-in ajax functionality of MVC2. Basically the user types a search query, and on every key press a set of results for the query is shown. This works fine in almost all cases, but sometimes the server is a bit slow with a single response, and thus the result for the next key stroke is returned before the previous. When the previous key stroke result set is finally returned to the client it will overwrite the results for the newer search query that should actually have been shown. I'm not looking for legal advice, just casual opinions ;) If some company publishes an API on the web for their closed-source library, would it be legal for another party to release an open-source implementation of that API? Are function declarations considered source code? Take GNU implementing the UNIX APIs, for example. The UNIX standard gives the following function declaration and defines its required behaviour in English: char * mktemp(char *template); Now, consider an API that lists and declares and describes several thousand (more much complex) functions, enums, etc.; an API which defines a solution to a non-trival set of problems. If an open-source project publishes C headers that copy (verbatim) the function definitions contained in the closed-source company's published API, doesn't that violate some sort copyright law?

• MySQL - mysqldump --routines to only export 1 stored procedure (by name) and not every routine

  So we have a lot of routines that come out from exporting. We often need to get these out in CLI, make changes and bring them back in. Yes some of these are managed by different folks and a better change control is required but for now this is the situation. If I do mysqldump --routines --no-create-info --no-data --no-create-db then great I have 200 functions I need to go through a file to find just the one or set I want. Is there anyway to mysqldump routines that I want like there is for tables???
