• how to create drop down button like gmail "move to" button?

  Hi i have a simple file upload system coded in php. As part of increasing the UI simplicity, i want to have a similar gmail "Move To" button where I can check multiple checkboxes and then after clicking one of the many possible entries in the drop down generated by the button, some postback takes place. Please advise. Thank you. Ideally, would be to use jQuery. though i am not an expert, i have some small experience using jQuery.

I've used it to drive Excel before (say 5 years ago). But I then began to wonder if I would be better off using VSTO.   I'm wondering about Nvidia's CUBLAS Library. Does anybody have experience with it? For example if I write a C program using BLAS will I be able to replace the calls to BLAS with calls to CUBLAS? Or even better implement a mechanism which let's the user choose at runtime? What about if I use the BLAS Library provided by Boost with C++?

  Has anyone measured the rate of submission through a GSM modem? We are implementing a solution at the moment and are only able to submit at a rate of about one message every 3 to 5 seconds. We are not sure if this is a library/api problem or if our modem is just of poor quality. Has anyone had any experience with these devices and measured the throughput rate?

  Hello, I'm using IntelliJ IDEA 9.0.2 but I assume this question applies to previous versions as well. In the Run/Debug Configurations dialog there is an option called "Deploy 'Tomcat Manager' application", but I haven't been able to find any documentation for how to use it in the IntelliJ help or online. Has anyone had experience using this, and know what URL I could use to access it once Tomcat is running? Thanks!

  Hi everyone, I'm trying to use the Visual Studio 2010 Express editions to set up an ASP.NET MVC 2 Web Application using SqlExpress + Entity Framework as the data access. I have both the "C# Edition" and "Web Developer Edition" installed. If I try to add a data source using the "C# edition", I'm missing the "Microsoft SQL Server" data source type. but Visual Studio 2008 Professional has it. as noted by another StackOverflow question, the "Web Developer Edition" has this. However, the Web Developer Edition doesn't support the Entity Framework items: . I'd want to stick with only the Express Editions. Is my use case one that Microsoft forgot about? What can I do here to use SqlExpress + MVC 2 + Entity Framework? Thanks! -Mike

  We have a large web-app with hundreds of jsps pages. To avoid repeating markup up blocks we are considering making use of struts tiles. Now it seems messy to have a combination of both <t:insertTemplate template="/WEB-INF/templates/xxxxx.jsp"> and <%@ include file="xxxxx.jsp"%> statements so we are considering converting all includes statements to insertTemplates (whether or not the template includes any tile syntax) Has anyone had any experience with using tiles 100% for jsp includes?

What are some pros and cons to using BizTalk Server (both from a developer standpoint and a business user), and should companies also consider open source alternatives?   Is there an equivalent to an identity Seed in SimpleDB? If the answer is no, how do you handle creating something like a customer number or order number that will prevent the creation duplicate numbers? My experience is mainly from SQL Server in which I would either create a primary key with an identity seed or use transactions in a stored procedure to increment the number. Thanks for your help!

• C# / asp.net: What are your views on .net email components/suites out there?

  Found two libraries Rebex (www.rebex.net) and QuikSoft (www.quiksoft.com) any comments on these based on experience or other ones I havent not found? Looking for components that will use SMTP to send a lot of emails for general email notificatins and bulk mailshots. Built in templating would be nice. Also need to receive emails from various accounts. Having the ability to validate and check bounce backs etc would be good for reporting (appreciating that this isnt 100% effective)
