  Hi, I created one blackberry application which will play a video on a button click.This is my code, invocation=new Invocation("file:///SDCard/Blackberry/videos/PlayingVideo/funny.mp4"); registry=Registry.getRegistry("net.rim.device.api.content.BlackBerryContentHandler"); try { registry.invoke(invocation); } catch(Exception e) { } Now i can play the Video file.After clicking the Back button the native player is going to the background.It always running in the background.But i want to close that player.I have no idea about how to do it.Anybody knows please help me.

• Issue with Column footer and Summary bands on Jasper reports

  I am creating invoices with Jasper reports. I have a detail section that has the list of all items followed by a column footer which has Totals, Tax etc., and then the return policy in the Summary section. I want to always ensure that the detail is followed by column footer followed by summary bands. How can we ensure this? I found that sometimes the Summary comes before the Column footer.   I have a sequence of 16 elements: 1,2,3,..., 16 ( or 2*n elements). Sequence elements always goes from 1 to length(sequence) that is sequence of 4 elements is 1,2,3,4.   In C++ do you always have initialize a pointer to an object with the new keyword? Or can you just have this too: MyClass *myclass; myclass->DoSomething(); I thought this was a pointer allocated on the stack instead of the heap, but since objects are normally heap allocated, I think my theory is probably faulty?? Please advice.

  When I change the size of a font in CSS, how do I make it so no matter what size the font is (from 12px to 200px), that the "Cap Height" (pic) of the text will always 'visually' have 10px padding on top?   I doubt if this is encryption but I can't find a better phrase. I need to pass a long query string like this: http://test.com/test.php?key=[some_very_loooooooooooooooooooooooong_query_string] The query string contains NO sensitive information so I'm not really concerned about security in this case. It's just...well, too long and ugly. Is there a library function that can let me encode/encrypt/compress the query string into something similar to the result of a md5() (similar as in, always a 32 character string), but decode/decrypt/decompress-able?

  In my MasterPage, I have a ScriptManager that has a ScriptReference to my jquery.js file. This has always worked with no problems, all content pages that utilize jquery work fine. Recently, I added the following javascript script block at the end of my MasterPage: function pageLoad(sender, args) { } By simply adding the above pageLoad method, no jquery code is executed from any of my content pages. Why would just having a pageLoad in the Master Page have this effect? Thanks in advance for any insight.

  Hi, I am developing a native application for Windows Mobile 6.5 (Samsung Omnia II i8000). After making some changes, my application hangs when it is run. The problem is my application is also run during Start Up (via \windows\startup shortcut) and whenever I restart the phone, it'll always run my application and hangs there. ActiveSync is not connected yet (I'm using WinXP,VS2005), so I cant use pdel from itsutils. Anyone has any Idea how to solve this?

Thanks! UPDATE: I added: imgView.clipsToBounds = YES; and find out in landscape mode the image bounds is smaller than screen in height. so the question becomes how to have the image view keeps original ratio (thus shows the full image always) when rotated to landscape? do I need to manually resize it after rotation again?
