    I want to use enumeratorAtURL:includingPropertiesForKeys:options:errorHandler: to do this, as I'm coding under Snow Leopard. I know how to use this method. However, as for my purposes it's not adequate to load the contents lazily, I have the following question: How can I create an object hierarchy (of, say, the custom FileOrDirectory class with the standard children,count,isLeaf attributes) from the information I load from the enumeratorAtURL: method? I need to load this data beforehand, and show it in an outline view, for my purposes.

  • App crashes when adding array data to table cells

    I am trying to create a table view that loads a number of tweets into the table (one per cell etc). I am using NSXMLParser to get the information and have got as far as creating an array with the selection of tweets that I want. However, when I try to add them to the table cells, the app crashes on the line: cell.textLabel.text = cellValue; An NSLog before this shows in the console that the app is getting the correct data, so I am a bit stumped as to why this isn't working. I need to the list to be sorted - either directories then files alphabetically, or just alphabetically.   • FileSystemWatcher keeping parent directory

    I am using FileSystemWatcher to monitor a folder, and it seems to be preventing the folder's parent from being deleted. For example, I have the file structure: C:\Root\FolderToWatch\... with the FileSystemWatcher targeting FolderToWatch. While my program is running, if I go to Windows Explorer and try to delete Root, I get an error "Cannot delete Root: access is denied". However, if I delete FolderToWatch FIRST, I can then delete Root without incident. (Needless to say, if the FileSystemWatcher is not enabled, I have no problem deleting either folder.) What gives? Why does the FileSystemWatcher hang onto it's target's parent like that? How (if possible) can I stop this behavior? I would like the user to be able to freely move or delete directories in Windows Explorer.

    I have a Grails app that has been running on CloudFoundry for months. I updated the app from Grails 2.0.4 to 2.1.0 and also updated a few plugins I have been using.   • Using ModalAlert from cookbook - app does not load

    I'm using iphone cookbook code to prompt a user for text in a UIAlertView. The cookbook code is available at http://github.com/erica/iphone-3.0-cookbook-/tree/master/C10-Alerts/03-Soliciting%20Text/ In my AppDelegate, applicationDidFinishLaunching(), I invoke as below NSString *str = [ModalAlert ask:@"what is your name?" withTextPrompt:@"ATTUID"]; But my app does not finish loading at all. I get a black screen indefinitely. There are no messages in the console. I tried creating just a UIAlertView with UITextField in the above function and it displays properly. (commenting out her code) Commenting out "CFRunLoopRun()" also loads the app. I'm probably doing something stupid but can't seem to figure it out.

  • Running Endpoint locally could not provide access to API explorer when HTTP proxy is enabled

    I'm using Android Studio(0.5.8) on Window7 x64 for developing my Android App with Google AppEngine backend. If my machine is having direct internet access and I launch backend locally (as DevApp Server) and access my API Endpoints through webbrowser (chrome) it is all working as expected. Accessing api explorer is also working fine from webbrowser. http://localhost:8080/_ah/api/explorer But if I have configured internet through http proxy (in Android Studio and also in webbrowser) then webbrowser displays initial page of backend but can't access endpoint api explorer. And deploying appbackend in Google AppEngine also fails with errors. gradlew backend:appengineUpdate Same is working fine if direct internet access is available (not via http proxy). How can we make it work with http proxy also? Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

  • Facebook: "URL could not be liked because it has been blocked" error in iOS app

    I'm working on an iOS app that allows the user to like a Facebook page within the app. I've implemented this using FacebookLikeView. During the course of testing this functionality, I've liked and unliked the same page multiple times. Unfortunately, this seems to have triggered Facebook's spam detection. Now, when trying to like a page using the like button displayed by FacebookLikeView, the following error is presented: "URL could not be liked because it has been blocked". Based on reports of the same problem found by searching the web, I've filled out this form to request that Facebook remove the block. However, I've received no response from them. I'm not sure how to proceed. Has anyone else run into this issue and successfully solved it?

  • ASP.NET forgets dlls in bin directory

    We have a plugin system on a WCF service that checks libraries placed in the bin folder for certain assembly level attributes and loads them. This allows customization of certain service calls based on which client is making the call. This works great most of the time. However, sometimes it seems to lose the dll, which causes the service to revert back to the default implementation for every client. The solution so far has been to just move the dll file out of the bin folder, and back in. This causes asp.net to pick up the file and customizations start working again. I'm at a loss for why the assembly is getting missed like that after a certain amount of time. Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

    Hi, I am having some issues with an app I have deployed on GAE. Specifically, I am intermittently running into the DeadlineExceededException where the server is not responding within the 30 seconds required. What is odd is that the code is not overly complex, it should run in milliseconds. My guess is that the delay is in dealing with the persistence manager and accessing the datastore. 2 questions: 1) What is the best way to track where all of the CPU time on the server is being used up? Log files do not seem helpful and to make things more complicated the code runs very fast when I am running it locally 2) Any tips / best practices in dealing with the 30 second exception? What are the biggest drivers of this? Datastore? HTTP requests / responses? Thanks

This because I have actually made everything in a folder called "SV", so my site is located in : "www/SV/index.html" My Q is, on the server, could I just create a folder named "SV" under "www" and expect index.html to be automatically displayed ones the users type in the web-adress to my site?     I'm making a universal iPad/iPhone app which can use the iPad's VGA out connector to mirror the content of the app on an external screen. However, the iPhone does not have this functionality. given the following code, [[NSNotificationCenter defaultCenter] addObserver:self selector:@selector(screenInfoNotificationReceieved:) name:UIScreenDidConnectNotification object:nil]; [[NSNotificationCenter defaultCenter] addObserver:self selector:@selector(screenInfoNotificationReceieved:) name:UIScreenDidDisconnectNotification object:nil]; I get this error on the phone at launch (works fine in ipad) "dyld: Symbol not found: _UIScreenDidConnectNotification" presumably because UIScreenDidConnectNotification doesnt' exist yet in 3.13. How do I check for this at runtime?
