  I'm trying to debug my first app on the device and got this error message, A valid provisioning profile for this executable was not found. I've gone thru the Apple manuals, checked SO and other sites but cannot work out what I've done wrong? This is what I've done so far. Got my provisioning profile. I check Organizer and it's there, plus it shows that it is installed on my iPhone (green button). My profile is in ~/library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles My certificate is in Keychain Access In Xcode I have have the Project Info showing the Entitlements correctly. The Code Signing Identity matches what's in Keychain. I've set the Target Info to be the same as Project Info. Have I done something inconsistently?

  I have got IIS7 running on my Windows 2008 Server It works perfectly working for the sites and the folder that I hosted before. Now I am trying to host a folder which contains two subfolder(the subfolders contain some images). I have correctly set the IIS_IUSRS permissions on the site folder.   I am currently gathering some technology requirements for a site that will be a social network based. I don't want to re-invent the wheel so i am looking for some type of SDK or collection of tools that can provide me with a way of creating/managing a social network. I understand that no framework will probably fit my exact needs so I am also looking for a flexible/extendable framework. An example extension point would be allowing the user to provide sub networks, maybe a global network that could be sub classified as work and friends. Beyond that it would also be nice to somehow be able to import contacts from other networking sites (Facebook, Linked In, etc). My current technology suite will more than likely consist of the following: IIS 7.0 WCF Data Services SQL Server 2006 ASP.NET front end. • Problems deploying MVC2 - Could not load type 'System.Web.Mvc.UrlParameter'

  Hi Everyone, I have problems deploying MVC2 application to my hosting. It shows the following error: Could not load type 'System.Web.Mvc.UrlParameter' from assembly 'System.Web.Mvc, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35'. It looks like it does not understand the new "optional URL parameters" feature of MVC2. This is just a simple test application I created with "New Project" wizard in VWD 2008. It works ok localy both in IIS and Visual Studio web servers. MVC1 web sites are working ok on the hosting server. I've contacted the hosting support and they installed MVC2 but the problem still exists. The web site is working in ASP.NET 2.0 integrated pipeline mode. Does anyone know why it is happening?   Hi, We're having a hard time figuring how these credentials objects work. In fact, they may not work how we expected them to work. Here's an explanation of the current issue. We got 2 servers that needs to talk with each other through webservices. The first one (let's call it Server01) has a Windows Service running as the NetworkService account. The other one (Server02) has ReportingServices running with IIS 6.0. The Windows Service on Server01 is trying to use the Server02's ReportingServices' WebService to generate reports and send them by email. So, here's what we tried so far. Setting the credentials at runtime (This works perfectly fine): rs.Credentials = new NetworkCredentials("user", "pass", "domain"); Now, if we could use a generic user all would be fine, however... we are not allowed to. So, we are trying to use the DefaultCredetials or DefaultNetworkCredentials and pass it to the RS Webservice: `rs.Credentials = System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultNetworkCredentials OR `rs.Credentials = System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials Either way won't work. We're always getting 401 Unauthrorized from IIS. Now, what we know is that if we want to give access to a resource logged as NetworkService, we need to grant it to "DOMAIN\MachineName$" (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms998320.aspx): Granting Access to a Remote SQL Server If you are accessing a database on another server in the same domain (or in a trusted domain), the Network Service account's network credentials are used to authenticate to the database. The Network Service account's credentials are of the form DomainName\AspNetServer$, where DomainName is the domain of the ASP.NET server and AspNetServer is your Web server name. For example, if your ASP.NET application runs on a server named SVR1 in the domain CONTOSO, the SQL Server sees a database access request from CONTOSO\SVR1$. We assumed that granting access the same way with IIS would work. However, it does not. Or at least, something is not set properly for it to authenticate correctly. So, here are some questions: We've read about "Impersonating Users" somewhere, do we need to set this somewhere in the Windows Service ? • How to compile x64 asp.net website?

  I'm trying to compile (using Visual Studio) an ASP.Net website with the Chilkat library. The compilation fails due to this error: Could not load file or assembly 'ChilkatDotNet2, Version=9.0.8.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=eb5fc1fc52ef09bd' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. I've been told that this error occurs because of platform noncompliance. The weird thing is that although the compilation fails, the site works once accessed from a browser. My theory is that the IIS compilation uses csc.exe compiler from the Framework64 (64 bit) folder while the Visual Studio uses csc.exe compiler from the Framework (32 bit) folder. If this is acually it, how can I configure my Visual studio to run with the 64 bit compiler for ASP.Net sites? This is my current development configuration: Windows 7 (x64). Visual Studio 2008 Pro (x86 of course...). Chilkat library (x64) IIS/Asp.net (x64).

• Django not recognizing django admin urls

  I just registered my models my models with django admin. I navigate to the django admin at /admin. I log in sucessfully and I can see all my models. great so far. But now if I try to click one of the links, for Ex: 'users', django gives me a 404 saying The current URL, admin/auth/user/, didn't match any of these. Its really weird because in my urls.py I have it mapped correctly (r'^admin/', include(admin.site.urls)), I have all the required middleware enabled and have these in my installed apps 'django.contrib.auth', 'django.contrib.contenttypes', 'django.contrib.sessions', 'django.contrib.sites', 'django.contrib.messages', 'django.contrib.admin', anyone have any idea?   I'm building a traditional .NET MVC site, so I've got a natural 3-tier software architecture setup (presentation in the form of Views, business layer in the controller, and data layer in the models and data access layer). When I've deployed such sites, it usually goes either on one server (where the web site and db live), or two servers (a web server and a separate db server). How does one go about a 3-server architecture (WEB, APP, and DB)? Would the web server just have the presentation (e.g. the physical View/aspx pages), the app server would hold the config file and bin folder, and the db server would remain as is? My question is essentially, can you simply move the /bin and all app logic onto a separate server from the presentation views? If so, how do you configure the servers to know where to look? If there's a good primer somewhere or someone can give me the lowdown, I'd be forever indebted.

  Does anybody know if it is possible to access and manipulate an element in the html page that is rendered by the Silverlight 4 WebBrowser control. The scenario is like this. The user launches a Silverlight OOB application with elevated trust. The user manipulates some data in the application but must submit part of the data to an external web site. If I open the external site in a WebBrowser control, is there any way I can assist the user by pre filling some information in the external sites' web form via programmatic access to the DOM?

• SharePoint Discussion Board "Last updated" field is not updated any more.

  On of our SharePoint users informed me today about a strange behavior of a discussion board on one of his sites. Normally the standard "subject" view of an discussion list has a field named "Last updated" showing the date and time of the last post within the corresponding thread. On the discussion board of our user this field is never set to the date/time of the last post but stays on the date/time when the thread was started. The site on which the discussion board is located was created from a custom web site template which includes the empty discussion board. To narrow this problem I created a second discussion board on the same site, with the result that it sets the Last updated field correctly. Any suggestions why the Last updated field doesn't update any more?
