Am doing wepsite for show images from local drive using asp.net.am using session object for Transfer image path from first page to second page its running nice in vs 2003 .but i converted this website to vs 2005.but session value does't pass to next page.i got null value in session object. am using inproc session mode kindly help me thanks

  • asp.net repeater returns weird html

    I have a repeater that is supposed to create div tags with their onclick functions from databind. Which is like onclick='<%# "functionname('" + Eval("somestring") +"');" %>' but the single quotes ' after the js func ( and before ) , they become something like ?,= ..   • Error while generating a PDF file with Excel in ASP.NET

    I have to generate an excel file and a PDF file from an asp.net application. I'm using the Interop assemblies and I can generate the excel file without any problem. But when I'm generating an pdf file with the add-in SaveAsPDFandXPS.exe I'm getting the next error: Exception HRESULT: 0x800A03EC with a debug I see the error is in the next method which is used to export de PDF file: _objWB.ExportAsFixedFormat(Excel.XlFixedFormatType.xlTypePDF, _nombreArchivo, Excel.XlFixedFormatQuality.xlQualityStandard, false, false, Type.Missing, Type.Missing, false, Type.Missing);

    I am processing some CSV file which i have copied in Bin folder of My ASP.NET Website. When i execute using (IDataReader csv = new CsvReader (new StreamReader("sample.txt"), true, '|')) { ..... } it complains me that "sample.txt" not found in "c:\Program Files\.....\" Won't the runtime automatically look into the bin folder? what modification do i need to do?

    I'd like the user to specify a RSS feed address and serialize the information from it. I am not interested in the XML format, but populate a strongly typed object from the XML. My question is, is there a standard that all RSS feeds support (Do all of them have date, title etc)? If so, is there a XSD that describes this. If not, how do I handle serializing a RSS feed to an object in ASP.NET?

    I have a domain "test.com" and I want this domain to redirect to "mydomain.com/test". I'm with 1and1 for my domain test.com and with discountAsp for mydomain.com. In the control panel of 1and1 you can set a redirection from a domain to another domain, so everything is fine. But when i'm on the page mydomain.com/test I want my url to be rewritten as test.com Is this possible to do that with IIS or in my asp.page (would prefer in my page) I'm using iis7 Thanks

    UPDATE: looks like I've misunderstood what TempData is for and what it isn't. It definitively shouldn't be used to "keep certain session-wide data" as I asked initially (see ASP.NET MVC TempData Is Really RedirectData why). I've modified the question accordingly. Has anyone used CookieTempDataProvider for TempData storage? Are there any caveats to watch out for (apart from keeping the session storage small)? Any issues with using it on Web farms?
