• Is there a preferred approach for Roles aware links in MVC 2

  If an action has been decorated with [Authorize(Roles="Administrators")] is there a way to not display the link for the currently logged in user who is not in the declared role? It seems to me that baking a lot of if statements into the view to give this kind of "selective disclosure" is contrary to the MVC way, but I'm not sure what the alternative is?

  I feel like there should be a simple way to do this but I can't figure it out. I have a JFileChooser that allows the user to select directories. I want to show all the files in the directories to give the user some context, but only directories should be accepted as selections (maybe the Open button would be disabled when a file is selected). I'd really like a better way of doing this than writing if-elses for every statement affected. eval could work, but has obvious side effects on other variables.
