Suppose My Project Name is TestProject1: Folder: TestProject1, LocalTestRun.testrunconfig, TestProject1.sln, TestProject1.suo, TestProject1.vsmdi And one more folder named: TestResults My requirement is i have many project and folders in solution and wanted to move the .vsmdi file and .tesrunconfig file and testrun folder to my specified location. Can i do this, if yes how can i do it.

  • Is there a strategy to back-port C# code?

    Hi all, I intend using the Argotic framework in support of a .Net Atom server. Unfortunately my target server (over which I have no control) only has .Net 1.1 - any the Argotic library is only in .Net 2 and 3.5. So, I now need to back-port the code to 1.1. Can anybody provide any strategic tips for this undertaking? I'm aware of the merits of using Unit Tests to verify the ported code (here). should I be looking for automated tools? should I just import the code into VS2003 .Net 1.1 project and work through the compiler warnings?     Hello, i would like to add some external .dll libraries e.g. glut32.dll (but it's only example) in vs 2008 using C#. Can you please tell me what should i do step by step? i am a little bit confused cause i found a lot of solutions to add dll files but they significantly differ.. some of them add dll's only using code, some using properties in vs, add references and in other tutorials there is about registering dlls in system.   • CCNet exception during build of vs2010 project

    We have two build machines. Lately, we've migrated our projects to vs2010 from vs2005. But the problem is that one of the machines occurs error during build. Another machine works well, but just one machine shows error. The differences between the machines are os and computer spec. When i click the first link it opens a window in a new page. I do this by using the above code. I am clicking the second link in the page and navigating to another page. Now i am clicking the browser back button. Supprisingly its opening the first link. How clicking back button is opening the link in the page. I am using c# .net 2005. Please help. Thanks.   • Getting error when compiling debug mode: C++/CLI - error LNK2022

    I've got a CLI code wrapping a C++ DLL. When i try to compile it in debug mode, i get the following error: Error 22 error LNK2022: metadata operation failed (8013118D) : Inconsistent layout information induplicated types .... MSVCMRTD.lib (locale0_implib.obj) The weird thing is that on Release mode it compiles OK and works OK. The only difference i can see that causes the problem is when i change: Configuration Properties - C/C++ - Code Generation - Runtime Library When it's set to: Multi-threaded Debug DLL (/MDd) it throws the error. When it's set to: Multi-threaded DLL (/MD) it compiles fine. The same settings work for all the other DLLs in the project (CLI and C++) and they inherit the same properties. I'm using VS2010. So, how can i solve this ? And can I get some explanation to WHY this is happening ? Update: I've basically tried changing every option in the project's properties with no luck. I've read somewhere that this might be caused from duplicate declarations of a type of the same name. But in the CLI file i'm calling std::string etc. explicitly from std. Any other ideas ?

I want to put the word "Dollars" vertically on the far left hand side of my chart (just left of the numbers labeling the "y" axis) and the word "Months" horizontally at the bottom of the chart but above the legend (just below the numbers labeling the "x" axis).   • How best to deal with warning c4305 when type could change?

    I'm using both Ogre and NxOgre, which both have a Real typedef that is either float or double depending on a compiler flag. This has resulted in most of our compiler warnings now being: warning C4305: 'argument' : truncation from 'double' to 'Ogre::Real' When initialising variables with 0.1 for example. Normally I would use 0.1f but then if you change the compiler flag to double precision then you would get the reverse warning. I guess it's probably best to pick one and stick with it but I'd like to write these in a way that would work for either configuration if possible. One fix would be to use #pragma warning (disable : 4305) in files where it occurs, I don't know if there are any other more complex problems that can be hidden by not having this warning. I understand I would push and pop these in header files too so that they don't end up spreading across code. Another is to create some macro based on the accuracy compiler flag like: #if OGRE_DOUBLE_PRECISION #define INIT_REAL(x) (x) #else #define INIT_REAL(x) static_cast<float>( x ) #endif which would require changing all the variable initialisation done so far but at least it would be future proof. Any preferences or something I haven't thought of?

Having heard Hanselman say this is something you can do within VS 2010 easily I set out too find information on exactly how to do this but can not seem to find anything. Ignoring the fact that most of the blog posts / articles are over a year old, there just seems to be no clear step by step information on how to do this. Has anyone found the light? where did you learn this information?     Hi I know this question has popped up before but I could not find a good answer so I try here. I have a pure C dll (Win32) and I get this warning when compiling: MSVCRTD.lib(cpu_disp.obj) : warning LNK4210: .CRT section exists; there may be unhandled static initializers or terminators Everything seems to work just fine but I am concerned about this warning since I do not understad it. I have quite a few static variables but I do not understand what ".CRT section exist" means. What approach should I take to eliminate this warning. When I try to add the libs msdn suggests I get a ton of linker errors.

    I am new to using .config files, having worked on apps that use .INI files and the registry until very recently. I am seeing a behavior in VS2008 that I would not anticipate, and wonder if it is the expected one. When I configure the Working Directory setting in the VS2008 IDE for my Foo.exe application, I would have guessed that Foo.exe.config would get loaded from that Working Directory. It does not; it gets loaded from the ..\bin\Debug directory, even if I have a Foo.exe.config file in that Working Directory. If I examine the Environment.CurrentDirectory while the configuration is being applied by setting a breakpoint, I see that it is ..\bin\Debug. When I examine the Environment.CurrentDirectory after my main UI's Loaded event, it is set to the Working Directory I applied in the IDE. Is this correct? (Why?)

  • How can I programmically construct the object reference?

    Lets just say that I have three textboxes: TextBox1, TextBox2, TextBox3. Normally if I wanted to change the text for example I would put TextBox1.Text = "Whatever" and so on. For what I'm doing right now I would like to something like (TextBox & "i").Text. That obviously isn't the syntax I need to use I'm just using it as an example for what I need to do. So how can I do something like this? The main reason I'm doing this is to reduce code with a loop. Please keep in mind that I'm not actually changing the text of the textboxes I'm simply using that as an example to get the point across.

  • Unable to add PageFunction to my project.

    I add to my project a PageFunction and I get a dozen of the following error and the project won't compile: 'ResourceDictionary' root element is a generic type and requires a x:Class attribute to support the x:TypeArguments attribute specified on the root element tag. Basically I get an error for each DataTemplate I merge in the ResourceDictionary, has anyone encoutered this problem before? Note: I use VB.NET 3.5 on VS 2010.

    I`m having two projects (x64). A. written in C (wxWidgets) B. written in c++ A compiles fine. B uses funcions of A. When I try to compile, I`m getting several errors. I suggest that the reason for the errors is the same for all, so I mention only the first: It says: strlen: identifier not found. But I have included the headers: #include <stdio.h> #include <string.h> So, currently, I have just no idea where to start to search for the reason of the errors. May it be that I have c and c++ files? May it be that I compile for x64? Thanks for help!
