    I have a Windows Forms app that, unfortunately, must make calls to controls from a second thread. I've been using the thread-safe pattern described on the http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms171728.aspx. Which has worked great in the past. The specific problem I am having now: I have a WebBrowser control and I'm attempting to invoke the WebBrowser.Navigate() method using this Thread-Safe pattern and as a result I am getting StackOverflow exceptions.   • Performance issues with jms and spring integration. What is wrong with the following configuration?

    I have a jms producer, which generates many messages per second, which are sent to amq persistent queue and are consumed by single consumer, which needs to process them sequentially. But it seems that the producer is much faster than the consumer and i am having performance and memory problems. Messages are fetched very very slowly and the consuming seems to happen on intervals (the consumer "asks" for messages in polling fashion, which is strange?!) Basically everything happens with spring integration. Here is the configuration at the producer side.   • page not show after issuing zf command

    hello guys, just simple question, recently i have setup a web server to build project using zend framework, after setup and see those welcome page saying that you are creating websites powered by zendframework, then i try issuing command, $ zf create controller alert i get the message that saying that i've successfully create controller, view and so on, but when i try to navigate to the page by URL, ex: www.mywebapp.com/alert the page is broken, i've check those tuts but none of them showing this case. can some one define which step i've skip? update: (25/5/2010) so i've found that there is no problem, is just that i've not configured properly my route to my web apps, so i have to type URL like this: www.mywebapp.com/index.php/alert how am I going to change this? i mean i want to explode "index.php" out of URL.

  • Increasing the JVM maximum heap size for memory intensive applications

    I need to run a Java memory intensive application that uses more than 2GB, but I am having problems to increase the heap maximum size. So far, I have tried the following approaches: Setting the -Xmx parameter, e.g. -Xmx3000m. This approaches fails at the creation of the JVM. From what I've googled, it looks like that -Xmx must be less than 2GB. Using the -XX:+AggressiveHeap option. When I try this approach I get an 'Not enough memory' error that tells that the heap size is 1273.4 MB, even though my computer has 8GB of memory. Is there another approach that I can try to increase the maximum heap size of the JVM? Here's a summary of the computer specs: OS: Windows 7 (64 bit) Processor: Intel Core i7 (2.66 GHz) Memory: 8 GB

He went to this site to check the validity of our SSL: http://www.whynopadlock.com/ The site throw the following error: `SSL verification issue (Possibly mis-matched URL or bad intermediate cert.). Details: ERROR: no certificate subject alternative name matches`` The certificate is installed using IP Based SSL instead of SNI. This is done this way because some site visitors still use Internet Explorer 8 on Windows XP, which has no support for SNI and throws a security warning. Is my certificate correclty installed?     So I'm trying to write a simple TCP socket server that broadcasts information to all connected clients. So when a user connects, they get added to the list of clients, and when the stream emits the close event, they get removed from the client list. This works well, except that sometimes I'm sending a message just as a user disconnects. I've tried wrapping stream.write() in a try/catch block, but no luck. It seems like the error is uncatchable.

    I'm trying to parse HTML data using KissXML for iphone. I've noticed that I can't have dashes in the id() tag, otherwise it won't evaluate. For example, if I'm trying to get the element at I would do id("foo") However, if I try to get at element , and I try id("foo-bar") the libxml2 XPATH engine doesn't seem to return anything. It works using the XPATH check for firefox, though. Anyone run into this issue and know of a reason why it's happening or have a workaround (besides using the absolute XPATH path?)

It builds, but it is not blocking the thread so the external tool gets kicked off before it can finish. Is there a way I can run ExecuteCommand and wait for the thread to finish?   • Ruby (on Rails) && PHP - two great things that work great together???

    I've done very little work with Ruby, and have an app I've written in PHP. I would like to add some functionality which is available in open sourced Ruby code. I could either try to translate the Ruby to PHP, or try mixing the two. Though I think the mixing part would be somewhat silly. I believe my options are to either mix ruby with php, or translate the ruby code into php. Anybody have any suggestions on this, or other ideas?
