• Why can't I source my vimrc after installing vundle?

  I'm trying to get my Vim to update on the fly after editing vimrc. So I followed the instructions at Vimcast which basically source vimrc every time you hit save. • Using DevIL with Xcode

  Hello everyone! I'm trying to use DevIL with XCode but I can't get it to work. I tried using the "standard" method by doing "configure make make install" and using #import <IL/il> but it doesn't work. • No coverage for runtime with Devel::Cover and ModPerl::Registry

  When I'm running Devel::Cover with ModPerl::Registry, I get no coverage info except for BEGIN blocks. When I'm running the same script with Devel::Cover from command line or as a CGI, everything works alright (obviously). How can I make Devel::Cover "see" my code being executed in the runtime?   I'm new to SVMs, and I'm trying to use the Python interface to libsvm to classify a sample containing a mean and stddev. However, I'm getting nonsensical results. Is this task inappropriate for SVMs or is there an error in my use of libsvm? However, each kernel has an accuracy of 0%. Why is this? On a side note, is there a way to hide all the verbose training output dumped by libsvm in the terminal? I've searched libsvm's docs and code, but I can't find any way to turn this off.

• Problems installing PHP's PECL sphinx module

  I've installed the sphinx binaries and libraries and am now trying to install the PECL sphinx module. My system is running OS X 10.6 with MAMP 1.8.2 installed. I try to install sphinx using the following command: sudo pecl install sphinx The PECL command outputs the following: running: phpize Configuring for: PHP Api Version: 20090626 Zend Module Api No: 20090626 Zend Extension Api No: 220090626 The versions above don't match the versions listed when doing a phpinfo(). It seems that PECL is trying to complie against the built-in version of PHP. If I ignore the errors and continue the it will successfully compile and place the sphinx.so file in: /usr/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20090626/sphinx.so when in fact it should be: /Applications/MAMP/bin/php5/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/ I've tried copying the sphinx.so file to the MAMP extensions dir but when I restart apache PHP displays the following warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/Applications/MAMP/bin/php5/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/sphinx.so I think this is because MAMP is 32bit and the built-in PHP is 64bit so PECL complies for 64bit. I might be completely wrong but I did read this when I goggled on the topic. Does anyone know how to get PECL to map to the MAMP version of PHP instead of the built-in version?

• 500 error using lighttpd, fastcgi and PHP on file upload

  I have a server running lighttpd with fastcgi, and it appears to be working correctly. However when I try to upload a file using a form, I get a 500 Internal server error, along with the following in the logs: 2012-03-23 18:25:09: (mod_fastcgi.c.2566) unexpected end-of-file (perhaps the fastcgi process died): pid: 2755 socket: unix:/tmp/php-fastcgi-1.socket-0 2012-03-23 18:25:09: (mod_fastcgi.c.3354) response not received, request sent: 50437 on socket: unix:/tmp/php-fastcgi-1.socket-0 for /index.php?url=brand/manager, closing connection I've been looking around for a long while now trying to find a solution to the issue, but nothing I'm trying is working. My current fastcgi conf looks as follows: server.modules += ( "mod_fastcgi" ) fastcgi.server = ( ".php" => (( "socket" => "/tmp/php-fastcgi-1.socket", "bin-path" => "/usr/bin/php-cgi", "allow-x-send-file" => "enable", "max-procs" => 1, "broken-scriptfilename" => "enable" )) ) If anyone could suggest if there is anything wrong in the configuration it would be greatly appreciated, or any suggestion as to what I might do?   I have just over 1500 html pages (1.html to 1500.html). I have written a code using Beautiful Soup that extracts most of the data I need but "misses" out some of the data within the table. For some reason my code does not pull out all the required data but "misses" some data, e.g the Address1 and Address 2 data at the start of the table do not come out. I modified the code to put in * and === separators, I then use perl to put into a clean csv file, unfortunately I'm not sure how to work my code to get all the data I'm looking for!

  Hi, I am developing a php website. I cant see php.ini file in my server. my host will not provide it. So i'm now going to create a copy of that php.ini file. so i have tried system() i searched in google and i got this link. http://drupal.org/node/290592 Here they are using like this system("cp /usr/local/php5/lib/php.ini /home/YOURUSERNAME/php.ini"); in my server when i looked the phpinfo my php.ini location is /ms/svc/php5/conf/php.ini and when i looked for the current directory of my server using this $dir_path = str_replace( $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'], "", dirname(realpath(FILE)) ) . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR; i got my current directory as /netapp/whnas-swamp/s11/s11/01712/www.sample.com/webdocs/ so my system command will now look lke this system("/ms/svc/php5/conf/php.ini /netapp/whnas-swamp/s11/s11/01712/www.sample.com/webdocs/php.ini"); i have named this page as getthephpini.php and when i b rowse this page i got a blank page but no new php.ini file created in my server. Is any mistake in that code??? Can any one show me the correct way Please help me Thanks

• PHP forking and mysql database connection problem

  I am now trying to do forking in php. I would like to do some query and update in child process.. the problem is that whenever a child process finish, it close the connection which makes the other queries fail. • Pythonic mapping of an array (Beginner)

  Hey StackOverflow, I've got a question related to a beginner Python snippet I've written to introduce myself to the language. It's an admittedly trivial early effort, but I'm still wondering how I could have written it more elegantly. The program outputs NATO phoenetic readable versions of an argument, such "H2O" - "Hotel 2 Oscar", or (lacking an argument) just outputs the whole alphabet. I mainly use it for calling in MAC addresses and IQNs, but it's useful for other phone support too. My first guess was to use a list comprehension along the lines of [nato[x] for x in sys.argv[1].lower() if x in nato], but that doesn't allow me to output any non-alphabetic characters. My next guess was to use map, but I couldn't format any lambdas that didn't suffer from the same corner case. Any suggestions? Maybe something with first-class functions? Messing with Array's guts? This seems like it could almost be a Code Golf question, but I feel like I'm just overthinking :)

• Debugging SIGABRT within NSManagedObjectContext -save:

  From inside NSManagedObjectContext -save: I am getting this message: Assertion failed: (_Unwind_SjLj_Resume() can't return), function _Unwind_SjLj_Resume, file /SourceCache/libunwind/libunwind-24.1/src/Unwind-sjlj.c, line 326. Program received signal: “SIGABRT”. warning: Unable to read symbols for /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport/4.2.1 (8C148)/Symbols/Developer/usr/lib/libXcodeDebuggerSupport.dylib (file not found). This happens when I delete an Experiment object with to-many with Run which has to-many with Sample which has to-one with Data. Experiment also has to-many with Page which has to-many with Display which has to-many to Run. I mention this to point out the cyclical nature of the graph. Here is a simplified graph of model: I had been using Delete Rules but have now switched to "No Action" delete rules in combination with -prepareForDeletion methods for all of these classes. This change made no difference. In both cases, the error message is the same. Interestingly, when I relaunch the app, all the objects that were marked for deletion have been deleted. Also, if an Experiment has no Run objects, then deletion works without incidence. For that matter, deleting a single Run from an Experiment also works. I am hoping that someone has seen something like this and can offer advice on what would cause this. Or, if someone has advice on how to get libXcodeDebuggerSupport.dylib for iOS 4.2.1, that might also be helpful. Update: I followed advice found here and was able to get Xcode to find libXcodeDebuggerSupport.dylib for iOS 4.2.1. But this did not help at all in diagnosing problem - which persists.

• Sending email using Perl using sendmail

  I am following the example from this website to send an email using Perl. The code looks like so: my $hostname = `hostname`; my $this_day = `date`; my $email = "i.h4d35\@gmail.com"; my $to = "$email"; my $from = "admin\@$hostname"; my $subject = "SCHEDULE COMPLETE - $this_day"; my $message = "Student schedule for today, completed for the following students: \n\n$names\n\nHave a nice day..."; open(MAIL, "|/usr/sbin/sendmail -t"); print MAIL "To: $to\n"; print MAIL "From: $from\n"; print MAIL "Subject: $subject\n\n"; print MAIL $message; close(MAIL); The mail gets sent but the subject appears in the body of the mail and the email has no subject. How do I fix this? PS: Have not gotten around to using MIME::Lite yet as I am still learning this.

• Unit Testing - Validation of ViewModel ASP.NET MVC 2

  I am currently unit testing a service that adds users to a repository. I am using dependency injection to test using a fake repository. The repository has a method CreateUser(User user) which just adds it to the database or in this case a List of Users. The logic for the creation is in the UserServices class. The application has a form for creating a user that requires some properties such as name and address. This is an MVC 2 app and I will be using the new validation using data annotations. This makes me wonder about a few things: 1) Should I annotate a POCO object that will map to the database? Or should I create a specific View Model that has these annotations and pass this data to the UserServices class? 2)Should the UserServicesClass also check this data? Would I best be constructing a Usr out of the ViewModel and passing this into the Service as a parameter? 3) The actual unit testing would depend on 2), I either populate a User object and pass that in, or I pass a large list of strings to the method CreateUser. Writing this out I get a basic idea that I should probably annotate the view model only, pass in a user (constructed by the view model if the data is valid) and also just construct the user in the unit test also. Is this the best way to go?
