Creating folders and uploading a file without using a web browser

I am using the Java Api We have a web application wherein we want our file to be uploaded on an on_click even on some submit button. We don't want the browser to prompt us to enter the username and password to get the access token. Instead, we can provide the username and the password through the code so that we get the access token and the file will be uploaded directly. Right now, OAuth 2 requires that we enter the username and password to be entered through the browser. Reading through the post, I see that we can authenticate for the first time, obtain a refresh token and then keep on refreshing that token periodically. But our application requirements does not allow for this work-flow. Is there any way to automate the process of entering the user credentials using Java code. or Is there any library that will keep the browser away from the process.

How to handle redirections with codeigniter?

Hi, im having problems starting a codeigniter project, the problem is that when i do something in a controller and then i want a page to display the result, an example: i have a form to add a item to the database, i get all the data in the controller and save it to database and then i want (if all went well) to redirect to the main page with a success msg, i was doing this with $this->load->view('admin', $data); the problem is that the url keeps saying admin/addItem so everytime the page gets refreshed it adds another item, now i found the: redirect('admin','refresh'); but this only helps me when i dont need to display any msg because this function dont allow to send a $data var. Any ideas? Probably this is really easy to fix but i cant find a way to handle the flow of the application the way i want, any help is apreciated. thanks ;)

Creative an interactive GUI for a web application

I have to create a web application (preferably using the Google App Engine) that will allow users to access it through a url link (not a Desktop application). The application graphically looks like a flow chart and each item in the chart can be selected to pull up a video (not in another window). It is recommended that I use Python. I have never made anything for the web before. Is there a best Python GUI API I should use? I've read quite a bit about Django so far I'm not sure if it is the best fit for this or not. Does anyone have any tips for starting this project? Thanks in advance!

Can I float a block of text like an image?

If you change "float:right" to "float:left" in this W3schools example, you'll get an image floating to the left of the paragraph. I want to do the same thing with a block of text. The purpose is to be able to have little annotations to the left of paragraphs. If you know of any way to do this, I'd be very grateful. I'd be really grateful (and amazed) if there were a way to place this annotation midway in a paragraph and have text flow around it. I've searched all over for an answer but possibly don't know how to ask the question so that search engines can help me. So now I'm appealing to humans!!

Non-floated div drops below right floated div in IE9 (and 7)

This is a responsive site, (http://www.dermatologypartners.com) with desktop styles first. IE8 handles the pages correctly, though without CSS3 flourishes. But IE9 is dropping my navbar (on left) down, when it is up next to the right floated content in all the other browsers. My navbar is near the end of the HTML because I want it to flow over LAST, below page content but above the footer, in the smartphone version of the site -- which it does. The nav is NOT floated. It just rises to the top left and content is floated to the right. Except in IE9. I don't to have to redo all this, if I can just get an IE9 fix. It's not "float drop" - there's plenty of room available. I'm actually having the same problem in IE7, but I'm not concerned with IE7 -- but why 7 & 9, while 8 is fine? Thanks!

Is it practical to build a web site using strict XHTML and relying on CSS 100% for visual style?

I tend to take the academic approach all too often and adhere to strict principles in my development when the reality is that I could have finished the project sooner had I been a little less cautious. I'm looking to find the right amount of practicality. I want to take the "Zen" approach to designing a site which (in my words) says "Use HTML strictly for content structure, and let the CSS magic do the rest". How practical is this in reality? One of the issues I run into is that I want to develop (make functional) the site first, then come back in and design it later. I know structure-wise how I want the site to flow, but I haven't even begun playing with the CSS layout, graphics, or any of the other designy stuff. What is the right approach here?

Customizing Spaces UI

In most common scenarios we stumble up on use cases to customize the Web center spaces UI. Is the Spaces UI customizable? What is the extent to which we can customize? How do i customize it? These are some questions that developers/architects normally come across. Well to clear the air, OOTB spaces comes with some default "site templates" and it also gives a flexibility to create custom site templates suiting the organization needs. The site templates concept has been introduced in the latest PS1 release of webcenter and to customize/create the the new site template, we have to leverage the Extend Spaces Project available on OTN. You could download the the project from here. Also there is white paper available on what all can be customized/extended from spaces perspective listed here . There is a specific details outlined on how to create custom site template in the Customizing Site Template white paper. One of the things the white paper high lights is "While you can create new site templates and modify the sample site templates but you cannot modify either of the out-of-the-box site templates ie the default and maximized. So if my need is to either increase the size of header to fit in a bigger logo or introduce couple of extra links on the default/maximized lay out how do i achieve this? All you need to do is customize the OOTB shell (shell-config.xml). 1. Copy the shell config's available in the Source Files Directory of the extended spaces unzipped directory into the CustomSite Template Project ExtendWebCenterSpaces\CustomSiteTemplate\custom\oracle\webcenter\webcenterapp\metadata\shell 2. Modify the appropriate shell 3. Deploy the CustomSite Template as ADF Jar 4. ensure you have the profile dependency on the aboproject int he custom webcenter spaces project 5. Deploy the Spaces Extension on the Webcenter Spaces Instance. (Details in the first white paper). You should see the changes immediately. eg: In the default shell, i have changed the height from 30 to 60 to increase the header size height="60" This is what i get to see : If you have worked on the R1 release time frame, where you created a custom shell/chrome, how do we make them compatible and make it available in the Spaces PS1 instance? All you need to do is the following: 1. Copy the custom shell in to the shell directory of the custom site template project 2. Register the shell with WCSiteTemplates.xml available in the same project. Eg : Yo can add the below entry pagePath="/oracle/webcenter/webcenterapp/view/templates/MyShellTemplate.jspx" pageDefPath="/oracle/webcenter/webcenterapp/bindings/pageDefs/oracle_webcenter_webcenterapp_view_templates_WebCenterAppShellTemplatePageDef.xml" displayName="myShell" chromeLevel="myShell"/ Note : pagePath - Absolute path of the template JSPX file. This path must be unique. So you might have to do the following to get your custom chrome working absolutely fine with no problems at all: 1. Create a jspx page, say /custom/mysite/SiteTemplate.jspx 2. Include the the default jspx in the new site template like following SiteTemplate.jspx ------------------ 3. Oracle WebCenter: Common User Experience Architecture

You may remember that the key goals of the new release of WebCenter are providing a Modern User Experience, unparalleled Application Integration, converging all the best of the existing portal platforms into WebCenter and delivering a Common User Experience Architecture. In previous weeks we've provided an overview of Oracle WebCenter and discussed some of the other key goals and this week, we'll focus on how the new release of Oracle WebCenter delivers a Common User Experience Architecture.When Oracle talks about a Common User Experience Architecture, it really focuses on a core set of areas. First, the way that information is accessed needs to be consistent and extensible so that as requirements change, the applications don't need to be rewritten for every change. Second, this information access layer needs to be securely accessible to any application, site, or any other channel that needs to leverage this information. Third, there needs to be a consistent presentation layout, Oracle calls it a UI shell, so that all resources can fit together in a useable, productive way. Fourth, there needs to be a common set of design patterns for how different menus, features, and services fit into this UI Shell for broad and productive usability. Fifth, there needs to be a set of design patterns for the individual services that plug into this UI shell so that end users can move from one module of the application to another without new learning. Finally, all of these layers need to be customizable in an easy way that insulates IT from patching and upgrading problems and allows the business owners the agility to quickly change with the market conditions.As Oracle has already announced, we will release our next generation of enterprise applications called Oracle Fusion Applications. We have thousands of developers building these applications that all had different programming tool experience and UI design experience. We've educated over 6,000 developers building Oracle Fusion Applications to leverage these Common User Experience Architecture patterns to speed their learning curve of the new Java standards as well as SOA principles to deliver a revolutionary new set of applications. You could imagine the big challenge with getting all these developers with different backgrounds and different UI design skills to deliver a completely integrated application user experience. This is why Oracle invested heavily in designing this Common User Experience Architecture, based on Oracle WebCenter and the Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF). It pulls together the best practices and design patterns that Oracle development required in order to bring Fusion Applications to market and Oracle WebCenter is the user experience layer that all of this is surfaced through. In this way, customers can quickly brand a deployment for new partnerships without having to redevelop a new site. Or they can quickly add new options to the UI Shell to enable their line of business managers to quickly adapt to a new competitive product. In sparse xml navigate to Named criteria tab -> Bind Variable section, create two binding variables deptId,fName. In sparse xml navigate to Named criteria tab ->Named criteria, create a named criteria and map the query attributes to the bind variables. In the ViewController create a file jspx page, from data control palette drop customBeanFindAll->Named Criteria->CustomBeanCriteria->Query as ADF Query Panel with Table. Run the jspx page and enter values in search form with departmentId as 50 and firstName as "M". Named criteria will filter the query of a data source and display the result like below.
