  I've been given a big chunk of code which eventually calls upon the SetDocsMetaInfo method from Frontpage Server Extension RPC. This is easy enough for most document uploading and property updating, except when dealing with multichoice fields. I've been scouring through MSDN and I can't find anything on how to fill in multiple values for such a field. The general syntax for properties is something like this: [SR|default], with the type (string in this case) followed by a pipe and then the value to be written. • How do I design a .NET (C#) for a program that needs to run as a Windows service but also have a web

  I am designing a piece of software that needs to operate different pieces of hardware based mainly on a schedule but it also needs to have a web interface for configuring settings, configuring the schedule, and possibly even manually controlling the hardware. I'm not sure how to design the architecture of software like this. One thought that I have had was to create a Windows service that does the communication with the hardware as well as "publishing" web services through WCF and then having an ASP.NET application that then controls the Windows service through WCF. This approach seems to be a lot of work for what I'm trying to accomplish. Could someone please give me some direction whether or not this is a good approach, and even give me a better way to do it if one exists? Thanks! Joel

  I have been using Morphia to persistent objects from Java. I have also been running some batch processes from the console. I just realised that some values are now stored as NumberLong and number as plain Javascript numbers. I have an index on this field. Everything seems to be ok, but if I query: {f: 100} from the console it still returns the object even if it actually contains {f: NumberLong(100)} Is this true of all the drivers? It is best practice to avoid NumberLong is I can fit the value inside 32-bit? Will I save a lot of data and index space if I convert all NumberLongs to basic numbers?

  Hello All, I need to create a process with integrity level high, so that it can do all the administrative tasks. But the created process should run in the current logged in desktop i.e. it should not run in session 0. By default only administrators will log on to the console. The service should launch the process, as service is running in session 0 and system account. Can it any how get the non restricted token and use it in CreateProcessAsUser, so that the process created does have integrity level of high or system. Is it possible? One more thing is i should get the non restricted token with out prompting for user name or password of the logged in user. Thanks

  I'm currently working on benchmarking a RESTful service I've made, and part of that is making sure it runs in a reasonable amount of times for a large array of parameters. For example, let's say I have RESTful API of the form some_site.com/item?item_id=y. In that case to be sure my service is working as fast as I'd like it to work, I'd want to try out many values for y one by one, preferably coming from some text file. I can't figure out any way of doing this in ab or httperf. I'm open to using a different benchmarking program if I have, but would prefer something simple and light. What I want to do seems like something pretty standard, so I'm guessing there must already be a program that let's me do it, but an hour or so of googling hasn't gotten me an answer. Ideas?

  Hi, There's a website I frequent that gives codes such as GD??Q-TPY32-TPTT3-9CM9P-F2QMQ and hints that the ?? is a number and a letter. If you're the first to unlock the code you can redeem the modest prize. So the obvious way to solve this problem is to brute-force the code. But obviously I don't want to sit in front of the computer for an hour to manually input all 10 * 26 combinations. Is there a way for me to tell my browser to input these codes (assume that each 5-character block is an individual text field). Or is there a special browser that enables some sort of macro-type feature? Thanks.

If the ProductId passed is invalid, what kind of response would you do? I want to send the right response code plus information to the requester on what they can do to fix it.   I have to concat 2 linq2sql query and I have an issue since the 2 query doesn't return the same number of columns, what is weird is after a .ToList() on the queries, they can concat without problem. The reason is, for some linq2sql reason, I have 2 more column named test and test2 which come from 2 left outer join that linq2sql automatically create, something like "select 1 as test, tablefields" Is there any good reason for that? how to remove this extra "1 as test" field? here a few of examples of what it look like: google result for linq 2 sql "select 1 as test"

  So let's say at the last minute (in the view) I decide I want to specify a default for a field and make it hidden, like so: form.fields['coconut'] = forms.ModelChoiceField(label="", widget=forms.HiddenInput(), queryset=swallow.coconuts.all(), initial=some_particular_coconut) My question is this: Do I really need to specify queryset here? I mean, I already know, from initial, exactly which coconut I'm talking about. Why do I also need to specify that the universe of available coconuts is the set of coconuts which this particular swallow carried (by the husk)? Is there a way I can refrain from specifying queryset? Simply omitting causes django to raise TypeError. If indeed it is required, isn't this a bit damp?

Basically on this website here: http://dev.supply.net.nz/vendorapp/ (currently in development) I have some fancy label animations sliding things in and out on focus & blur. However once the user has logged in once the browser will most likely remember the password associated with the users email address/login. (Which is good and should not be disabled.) However I run into issues triggering my label slide out animation when the browser sets the value on the #password field automatically as the event for this is neither focus nor blur. Does anyone know which listener to use to run my function when the browser 'auto fills' the users password? Here is a quick screenshot of the issue:

  I have coded a web service using the Axis 2 framework and I can successfully invoke it using a test client (SoapUI) on the local machine after publishing the application in JBoss 5. I can post to the WS endpoint from the local machine and get the expected response. Now i want to allow other machines to access the web service. i changed the "localhost" to "my own fixed IP" adress at the end point location, and turned firewall off, but impossible to access the WS.   I have article table and several user tables a_user, b_user, ... with exactly the same structure (but different data). I can't change anything in *_user tables except their table name prefix but can change everything else (user tables contain only user information, there is nothing about article or user_type in them). I need to link article to a user (many-to-one), but user table name is defined by user_type field. For example Article table record: ... user_id="5" user_type="a" means that it is linked to a user with id=5 from a_user table (id 5 is not unique in users scope, each user table can have its id 5). Any suggestions how to handle this situation? How can I map this relation in Hibernate (xml mapping, no annotations) so it will automatically pick up correct user for an article during select/update? How should I map user tables (one or multiple classes?)? I would need to run some queries like this: from Article a where a.userType=:type and a.user.name=:name Thanks.
