    In lua, it's legal to do this : table={} bar if(table[key]==nil) foo However, using C API, I couldn't find way to check if there's a nil value on the specified position. lua_getglobal(L,"table"); lua_gettable(L,key); If there's a nil value stored in table[key], lua_gettable would give me the "unprotected error in call to Lua API (attempt to index a nil value)" message. Is there any way to check if there's actually something associated with that key, before actually pushing the key to do so ?

    I have a PHP web application environment. I am using Slim Framework as REST interface for my application. My application front-end is written using Backbone.js and jQuery. There is a utility (.jar file) which when I use command line makes a remote call (I guess this is a Web Service) which returns me the data. how do I best incorporate this into my webapplication described on top? My application front end will have a Button that should make an AJAX call to the REST Interface and fetch the data as JSON. My approach: PHP-REST interface url is: /api/phprestapi.php exists Add a JAVA-REST interface at url: /api/javarestapi.java (Perhaps) to separate these two Existing Environment: LAMP Stack on Ubuntu How do I achieve this?     I am developing an application which helps the user to find the bus stops near him through his current latitude and longitude. This will also give the time table of the bus, route direction, bus name etc. I searched over the google but didn't get success. I tried the trimet api, but that was also not much helpful as it only works for Portland area and the pin is always dropped on the map on Portland. Please help me! Is there any api to do this? This app is for our client. User will input the route id, loc id or what and will get all the detail of near by bus stops and their lat,long.

  • How to enable ListView overscroll in HTC One X (may be all htc devices)?

    I have a listview in my app, and in my Xoom, and Galaxy S2, you get the normal glow effect when you overscroll. But in HTC One X, it doesn't show any overscroll behaviour. All the HTC apps have an accordion style overscroll behaviour. Do they use some custom listview? In any case, how do I show some sort of overscroll effect in HTC phones? Also, is there some ListView class out there, that implements overscroll effects on all phones (doesn't have to be the same effect). Some Context: The phones are on Android 4.0.3, and Xoom is on 4.0.4. The app is using the Holo Light theme. The min/target API level (as well as the Project API level) is set to 15.

    I am trying to build an app which will compare the two images and gives the Matching Percentage. I am taking two Images from The camera(Making use of UIImagePickerController) and saving it to the document directory.Then i fetch these images in a different view controller to get the face part, using CIDetector API and CIfacefeature API. The problem is It is not detecting the face at all through i am able to fetch the images properly. And if i store the same image in the main bundle it detects. I dnt know where the problem is. I have tried everything. May Be the problem is with the UIImage or may be the format in which image is getting saved in document directory or with the camera. Please help. I will be grateful to you.   • Iterating over a large data set in long running Python process - memory issues?

    I am working on a long running Python program (a part of it is a Flask API, and the other realtime data fetcher). Both my long running processes iterate, quite often (the API one might even do so hundreds of times a second) over large data sets (second by second observations of certain economic series, for example 1-5MB worth of data or even more). They also interpolate, compare and do calculations between series etc. What techniques, for the sake of keeping my processes alive, can I practice when iterating / passing as parameters / processing these large data sets? For instance, should I use the gc module and collect manually? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

    hi, I've tried to change the redirection when I submit my edit-node form, by addming the following line to my template.php file, in my theme $form['#redirect'] = FALSE; I'm sure the template.php file works well because I have other lines in which I change, for example, the weights of some elements. But the redirection doesn't work. I've also tried $form['#redirect'] = 'anotherPage'; without success. What am I doing wrong ? I found the problem that when I use account ( this account is also the fb app admin ) to login, everything is be work including login dialog and oauth dialog , but when I use another account ( General account ) the login dialog is work but OAuth Dialog is not work .   • Apache SSO through Kerberos using Machine Account

    I'm attempting to get Apache on Ubuntu 12.04 to authenticate users via Kerberos SSO to a Windows 2008 Active Directory server. Here are a few things that make my situation different: I don't have administrative access to the Windows Server (nor will I ever have access). I also cannot have any changes to the server made on my behalf. I've joined Ubuntu server to the Active Directory using PBIS open. Users can log into the Ubuntu server using their AD credentials. kinit also works fine for each user. Since I can't change AD (except for adding new machines and SPNs), I cannot add a service account for Apache on Ubuntu. Since I can't add I service account, I have to use the machine keytab (/etc/krb5.keytab), or at least use the machine password in another keytab. Right now I'm using the machine keytab and giving Apache readonly access (bad idea, I know). I've already added the SPN using net ads keytab add HTTP -U Since I'm using Ubuntu 12.04, the only encoding types that get added during "net ads keytab add" are arcfour-hmac, des-cbc-crc, and des-cbc-md5. PBIS adds the AES encoding types to the host and cifs principals when it joins the domain, but I have yet to get "net ads keytab add" to do this. ktpass and setspn are out of the question because of #1 above. I've configured (for Kerberos SSO) and tested both IE 8 Firefox. The NoSQL movement is getting big attention and RavenDB is the latest addition to the NoSQL and document database world. RavenDB is an Open Source (with a commercial option) document database for the .NET/Windows platform developed  by Ayende Rahien.  Raven stores schema-less JSON documents, allow you to define indexes using Linq queries and focus on low latency and high performance. RavenDB is .NET focused document database which comes with a fully functional .NET client API  and supports LINQ. RavenDB comes with two components, a server and a client API. RavenDB is a REST based system, so you can write your own HTTP cleint API. As a .NET developer, RavenDB is becoming my favorite document database. Unlike other document databases, RavenDB is supports transactions using System.Transactions. Also it's supports both embedded and server mode of database. RavenDB is working based on the REST principles and the Id would be like categories/1. The Id would be created by automatically when a new object is inserted to the document store. The REST uri categories/1 represents a single category object with Id representation of 1.   public Category Load(string id) {    return session.Load<Category>(id); } The GetCategories method returns all the categories calling the session.LuceneQuery method. RavenDB is using a lucen query syntax for querying. If  the Id property of Category is null, we call Store method of Documentsession for insert a new record. For editing a existing record, we load the Category object and assign the values to the loaded Category object.
