• gdata api + javascript library for accessing documents?

  Hi, I wanted to do the following with the gdata javascript library: get a list of a user's documents. read the contents of a chosen document. edit its contents, update the document. If I'm reading correctly, this is not supported by the javascript library? I got this to work with the java library, but would like to push this functionality to the client. Is it possible?   I'm writing a business-focused iPhone app which includes a self-hosted server component. I'd like to include push notification functionality in the server; reading through the programming guide it looks as if this would involve either: Distributing the provider certificate with the server component - this doesn't sound like a terribly good idea (even if Apple permits it?) Hosting a shared notification provider and forwarding notifications to APNS from the servers. For an ongoing, high-availability service, this is likely to require including a subscription pricing component, which I would prefer to avoid. Require customers to apply for their own provider certificate. However, it's not clear whether multiple organisations are allowed to apply for provider certificates with a single bundle ID, and it would significantly increase the barrier to adoption. APNS looks to me as if it's specifically geared for centrally hosted services. Is anyone distributing self-hosted notification providers? Are there any other options?

  Hello, I work since 2 days on WMD & Markdown and i don't find THE solution for stock data with security. I would like users can post html/xml (with WMD) on my site. For the moment, I stock data in Markdown format but If I disabled JavaScript the user can push easy XSS. If I strip_tags or html_entities all data i loose the user html/xml . How can I do ? • Ubuntu: What gcc to use when crosscompiling for the STM32 (Cortex-M3)?

  Hi I'm trying to get started with the STM32 (Cortex-M3) and my plan is get this working from Ubuntu (9.04 / AMD64). To start with I got the Olimex stm32-h103 header board and the Olimex ARM-USB-OCD jtag, and on to of that I will probably use OpenOCD, gcc and Eclipse. But right now I'm looking into what version of gcc to use and how to setup that to be able to crosscompile the code. There seem to be some arm projects out there but I don't know what to start with, can somebody push me in the right direction? Thanks Johan Update: There seems almost to be what I want from codesourcery, but they seem to focus on IA32 and not AMD64. However in the supported devices I find the Cortex-M3 ARM EABI, ARM M-profile Simulator -mcpu=cortex-m3 -mthumb Update: There is a possibility to install IA32 on AMD64, so maybe the marked answer is obsolete already. • How is Entity Framework 4's POCO support compared to NHibernate?

  Just wondering if anyone has had any experience using Entity Framework 4's POCO support and how it stands up compared to NHibernate. If they're the same, I'd be very interested in making Entity Framework 4 my ORM of choice if only because it would: Support both data first AND object first development Have a robust LINQ provider Be easier to pitch to clients (since it's developed by Microsoft) Come baked into the .NET framework rather than requiring 8 dlls to get up and running In other words, are there any major shortcomings to EF4? Does it support all of the basic functionality NHibernate supports (lazy-loading, eager-loading, 1st level caching, etc.) or is it still rough around the edges? Is the syntax for setting up the mappings as easy as NHibernate and/or Fluent NHibernate? Edit: Please don't bring up the vote of no confidence. That was ages ago and dealt with some serious shortcomings of EF1 that really don't seem to apply anymore to EF4.

  Hello all, I 'm relatively new to git and and having some problems early on. I've made several commits, but when I try to push them I get a response that says everything is up-to-date. I feel like my problem is the same on listed in this question, but it recommends the following: $ git log -1 # note the SHA-1 of latest commit $ git checkout master # reset your branch head to your previously detached commit $ git reset --hard <commit-id> What exactly will "checking out the master" do? But the problem is that when my emulator runs , a sd card folder should be created in "File Explorer" tab of DDMS perspective in eclipse , which is not happening .   I have a small contest problem in which is given a set of points, in 2D, that form a triangle. This triangle may be subject to an arbitrary rotation, may be subject to an arbitrary translation (both in the 2D plane) and may be subject to a reflection on a mirror, but its dimensions were kept unchanged. Then, they give me a set of points in the plane, and I have to find 3 points that form my triangle after one or more of those geometric operations. Example: 5 15 8 5 20 10 6 5 17 5 20 20 5 10 5 15 20 15 10 I bet that have to apply some known algorithm, but I don't know which. The most common are: convex hull, sweep plane, triangulation, etc. Can someone give a tip? I don't need the code, only a push, please!

• Visual studio 2008/2010 dilemma

  We have a project which is being developed by a 3rd party. They are using LINQ and .NET 3.5 with Visual Studio 2008. We are currently at 2005 with .NET 2. Once they have delivered the code to us, we are unsure as to whether we will be able to compile/build their code using our current Visual Studio toolkit. I know we can download .NET 3.5, but unsure as to whether we will have problems with Visual Studio. So we are considering to upgrade. But since Visual Studio 2010 is soon to be released do we wait for that or upgrade to 2008?

  i have a DetailsView that is populated by a Linq to Entities query. Example query is below. But the problem i have is, with this detailsview which is unbound, i have no column at design time to convert to a template, and yet i want to access its cell values. help is appreciated.

  What would be the ideal hardware setup for pushing lots of bandwith on a tube site? We have ever-expanding cloud storage where users upload the movies, then we have these web-delivery machines which cache the FLV files on its local harddrives and deliver them to users. Each cache machine can deliver 1200 mbits/s , if it has SAS 8 harddrives. Such a cache machine costs us $550/month for 8x160gb -- so each machine can cache only 160GB at any given time. If we want to cache more then 160gb , we need to add another machine..another $550/month..etc. This is very un-economical so I am wondering if we have any experts here who can figure out a better setup. I've been looking into "gluster FS", but I am not sure if this thing can push a lot of bandwith. Any ideas highly appreciated. Thank you!
