• Autocomplete in rails format data and display in a beatiful way

• How can I check if the mouse button is released, and THEN execute a procedure once in Borland Pascal

  Hi! I use Borland Pascal 7.0, and I would like to make a slots game (If 3 random numbers are the same, you win). The problem is that when I click on the start (Inditas) button on the menu, the procedure executes many times until I release the mouse button. I was told that I should check if the mouse button is released before executing the procedure once. How can I do that?   I'm trying to extract unique properties from a knockout.js observableArray of objects, to populate a drop menu. Being new to knockout, I'm really struggling with this! I want to iterate over a contacts list, and populate a drop menu with a unique value from each person object within the observableArray.   Hi! I've problem regarding GUI with one Menu and one Order Class. I've created a variable to store how many items have been selected in the Menu Class. private int totalSelected; The var totalSelected is live updated. It can be changed anytime depending on actionPerformed() function.(Exp: totalSelected will add up all the selected items) In the Order Class, how can I access to the live update variable totalSelected in order to retrieve the live update value? When I invoke getTotalSelected() function inside the Menu Class, I will only obtain a 0 value. Thanks for your help ^^! • Clicking on MenuItem without clicking on the text

  I've got a Menu, and I want to click on the menu, but not on the text if you guys know what i mean. The MenuItem has a border, or something like this, but when I click on it it won't redirect to the page I want unless I click on text. Is it possible to click on the whole "Button" and redirect or do what is need to do? • Problem with jquery #find on partial postback

  I have a third party component. It is a calendar control. I have a clientside event on it which fires javascript to show a popup menu. I do everything client side so I can use MVC. dd function MouseDown(oDayView, oEvent, element) { try { e = oEvent.event; var rightClick = (e.button == 2); if (rightClick) { var menu = $find("2_menuSharedCalPopUp"); menu.showAt(200, 200, e); } } catch (err) { alert("MouseDown() err: " + err.description); } } The javascript fires perfectly withe $find intially. I have another clientside method which updates the calendar via a partial postback. Once I have done this all subsequent MouseDowns( rightclicks) which use the $find statment error with 'null'. All similar problems people have out there seem to be around calling javascript after a postback - with solutions being re-registering an event using PageRequestManager or registering a clientside function on the server - et cetera. However, the event is firing, and the javascript working - it's the reference in the DOM that seems an issue. Any ideas?

  I want two horizontal areas in my webpage. The first one is the menu. It's on the top. Unfortunately I don't know its size, and it might change in response to user actions. Below the menu is the main area which should stretch at least as far as the bottom of the window (if there is little content) or beyond (if there is a lot of content. To illustrate with ASCII art: +----------------------------------------------------+ | This area resizes vertically depending on contents | +----------------------------------------------------+ | This area stretches to the bottom of the window, | | but can be even larger if necessary. Added: To put things in perspective and avoid confusion, think of it this way: the top menu is generated by myself, but the bottom area is an IFrame which I want to fill the rest of the page.   Here's a listing of all the scripts loaded by Magento by default: ../js/prototype/prototype.js //prototype library ../js/prototype/validation.js //don't know what this does ../js/scriptaculous/builder.js //don't know what this does ../js/scriptaculous/effects.js //base scriptaculous effects library? ../js/scriptaculous/dragdrop.js //component of scriptaculous effects ../js/scriptaculous/controls.js //not sure? ../js/scriptaculous/slider.js //more scriptaculous effects ../js/varien/js.js //don't know what this is ../js/varien/form.js //form validation scripts? ../js/varien/menu.js //menu/drop down menu scripts ../js/mage/translate.js //don't know what this does ../js/mage/cookies.js //don't know what this does these scripts total 316.8K of javascript... all in various states of being minified (for example, prototype.js isn't minified). So my first question: 1) Aside from prototype.js, are all of the others really that needed? and 2) What is the "correct" way to remove these scripts? Layout updates? Or hardcoded in templates? I want to make the loading of my magento site as light weight as possible. thanks!

  I have been asked to update the menu on a website we maintain. The website uses Castle Windors Monorail and NVelocity as the template. The menu is currently rendered using custom made subclasses of ViewComponent, which render li elements. At the moment there is only one (horizontal) level, so the current mechanism is fine. I have been asked to add drop down menus to some of the existing menus. As this is the first time I have seen Monorail and NVelocity, I'm a little lost. • Java threads, wait time always 00:00:00-Producer/Consumer

  I am currently doing a producer consumer problem with a number of threads and have had to set priorities and waits to them to ensure that one thread, the security thread, runs last. I have managed to do this and I have managed to get the buffer working. The last thing that I am required to do is to show the wait time of threads that are too large for the buffer and to calculate the average wait time. I have included code to do so, but everything I run the program, the wait time is always returned as 00:00:00, and by extension, the average is returned as the same. I was speaking to one of my colleagues who said that it is not a matter of the code but rather a matter of the computer needing to work off of one processor, which can be adjusted in the task manager settings. He has an HP like myself but his program prints the wait time 180 times, whereas mine prints usually about 3-7 times and is only 00:00:01 on one instance before finishing when I have made the processor adjustments. My other colleague has an iMac and hers puts out an average of 42:00:34(42 minutes??) I am very confused about this because I can see no difference between our codes and like my colleague said, I was wondering is it a computer issue. I am obviously concerned as I wanted to make sure that my code correctly calculated an average wait time, but that is impossible to tell when the wait times always show as 00:00:00. To calculate the thread duration, including the time it entered and exited the buffer was done by using a timestamp import, and then subtracting start time from end time. Is my code correct for this issue or is there something which is missing? I would be very grateful for any solutions.   I want to know how to correctly add an Event Listener like onClick to a dynamic div. Am I misunderstanding this? (I used this method zillions of times in AS3 with the expected result, just attached a function waiting for a click). What I want is that my Divs wait for the user to click on them, not to fire off immediately after of being attached. Thanks for any hint on this one. Greetings. Ps. • Keyboard shortcut to Un/Comment out code in Mathematica 7?

  A keyboard shortcut to comment/uncomment out a piece of code is common in other programming IDE's for languages like Java, .Net. I find it a very useful technique when experimenting through trial and error to temporarily comment out and uncomment lines, words and parts of the code to find out what is and isn't working. I cannot find any such keyboard shortcut on the Mathematica front end in version 7. I know that it is possible to comment out code by selecting the code, right mouse click and select Un/Comment from the menu that appears but this is too slow while coding. I tried to access this using the menu key Menu on the keyboard but Mathematica frontend doesn't respond to or recognise this key unlike other applications, this could have allowed a key combination for commenting. Can someone else verify that this isn't unique to my machine and that the key isn't recognised by mathematica. I looked at this question and looked in the KeyEventTranslations.tr file but I don't think there is any way to create a shortcut to do this(?). Should I just live with it? Any other suggestions? (I have seen there is an Emacs version of mathematica, I have never tried Emacs or this Mma version and imagine that it would have this ability but would prefer not to go to the trouble and uncertainty of installing it. Also I would guess that the Wolfram Workbench could do this, but that may not be worth the investment just for this.)

  I am using a condensed font in Cufon. When the page loads, my menu is too wide and wraps. Then Cufon replaces the font and it looks fine. To reduce the visual distraction, I want to set the font size smaller and then have Cufon change the font size when it displays. Currently the font size is set by the div containing the menu.   I have organized a menu. I could have used display:inline to appear them in a single line, but since IE does not support it and I don't know any other way to do so, I used float:left;. It's css is: .topmenu { list-style:none; margin:0; padding:0; } .topmenu li { float:left; } This brings the menu in a perfect horizontal line, but the entire list is floated to the left. I want to bring the .topmenu to appear in the center of the document and keep the listitem inside it floated towards the left. I found that this is achievable by defining width property of the .topmenu, but I dont want to fix its width as the list-items are dynamically generated and thus could increase and decrease. Any one know of any solution?

  Hi, using ASP.NET MVC 2 I have a navigation menu inside my Master Page. In the navigation menu, I am trying add a class to the that the current page relates to (i.e., home page will add class="active" to the Home button). I'm trying to consider scalability and the fact that I don't want to change individual pages if the navigation changes later. The only way I can think of doing this is: Add JavaScript to each individual View that will add the class when the DOM is ready Return JavaScript when return View() occurs on point (2), I am unsure how to do.   Can you read out the name of a PHP constant from a database and use it inside of a php variable, to display the value of the constant for use in a menu? For example here's what I'm trying to accomplish In SQL: select menu_name AS php_CONSTANT where menu_id=1 the value returned would be L_HOME which is the name of a CONSTANT in a php config page. The php config page looks like this define('L_HOME','Home'); and gets loaded before the database call. The php usage would be $db_returned_constant which has a value of L_HOME that came from the db call, then I would place this into a string such as $string = '<ul><li>' . $db_returned_constant . '</li></ul>' and thus return a string that looks like $string = '<ul><li><a href="#" onclick="path_from_db">Home</a></li></ul>'. To sum up what I'm trying to do Load a config file based on the language preference query the db to return the menu name, which is the name of a CONSTANT in the config file loaded in step one, and also retrieve the menu_link which is used in the "onclick" event. Use a php variable to hold the name of the CONSTANT Place the variable into a string that gets echo'd out to create the menu displaying the value of the CONSTANT. I hope this makes enough sense...is it even possible to use a constant like this? Thanks.

• Facebook android app keeps crashing even though there are no errors in my code. Why?

• PHP active page code - I can't figure out parse error

  I'm trying to build an active page menu with PHP and MySQL and am having a difficult time fixing the error. In the while statement I have an if statement that is giving me fits. Basically I think I'm saying that "thispage" is equal to the "title" based on pageID and as the menu is looped through if "thispage" is equal to "title" then echo id="active".
