What is the best Django syncdb crash debugging technique ?
I've previously asked a question about a problem with manage.py syncdb returning an exception
and the answer was that the app has a wrong import.
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2734721/django-manage-py-syncdb-not-working
I'd like to know the technique used to find the place where there is a wrong import.
I tried ./manage.py syncdb --verbosity=2 but I didn't get any more information that way.

What is the best way to implement a big (1GB or more) file uploader website in PHP or Java? Using the default way of uploading in PHP or Java results in running out of RAM space and slowing the website very dramatically.
Hi,
What is the best way to reference an existing .NET dll (Class library)? Is there any benefit to expose web services from the class library and reference these as opposed to referencing the actual .dll (Although one benefit of the web service approach is the granularity and thus surface area exposed is up to you at coding time)?
I am thinking with loose coupling in mind, as a criteria.
Thanks
Have a good day,
I need to print a large image collection of pictures.
If I use something like:
printDocument.PrintPage += OnPrintPage;
printDocument.Print();
my printing task size in printer queue takes more than 1 GB!.
Does abybody suggest how can I print images one by one. Maybe some event like PrintJobIsFinished is available? Thanks for any help.

I am developing an iPad application. I'm not sure if I should write unit tests for this application, and if so, how I should go about writing them.
What would you suggest as the best approach to writing unit tests for iPhone / iPad?
I'm currently trying to get into the Java EE development with the Spring framework. As I'm new to Spring, it is hard to imaging how a good running project should start off.
Do you have any best practices, tipps or major DO NOTs for a starter? How did you start with Spring - big project or small tutorial-like applications? Which technology did you use right away: AOP, complex Hibernate...
I'm fairly new to programming and from learning I have seen different ways of formatting code, comments, etc; and have been recommended on different techniques.
I mostly program in C#, C++, and Java so I want to know what is the the best way to layout code so that if other people where to go through it, they would be impressed by how simple and easy to understand it is.
I would like to know the same thing for commenting as well.
I'm trying to create something that will be playing some sound and music for some things in Mono+C#, but I'm not sure what the best thing will be for that.
I'm trying to make it usable with things like Ogg Vorbis, MP3s, and wave files.
My primary platform will be Linux, although a cross platform solution would be nice.
Anyone have any suggestions for libraries for playing audio files?
I want to create a wizard that includes a few steps, that in the final steps
we need to include all the steps and save to the data base.
What is the best design to do this ?
Is there an implementation for jquery ?
Do I need to save the steps in session till the final save ?
I wanted to know which of these algorithms is the best for sorting random,semi-sorted,reversed or unique data. I know that some of these are of O(n^2) and O(nlogn).
I have a running django/apache2 + memcached app (ubuntu) and would like to keep track of logged in users that are online.
What would be the best way to track this?
I would prefer not writing to the database each time a logged in user loads a page; but what other options are there?
I need to upload a large number of content files to an App Engine app every day - perhaps 1,000 or more - that will be served from the app. Cumulatively over time I expect these uploads to add up to over 1,000,000 separate content files stored in the production app.
Is the appcfg tool the best or only way to carry out these daily batch file uploads?
Hi everybody
What is best software for creating models , textures etc... for iphone development.
From simplest to more complex programs.
First thing that comes to my mind is blender , but I'm curious what everybody else is using and their opinions.
We currently use a GridView to display 1000+ rows of data. Minimum requirement for replacement is a fixed header row, fixed footer and columns would be a plus.
This would have to work across IE 6 and greater.
I've heard good things about Infragistics, but the demo on their page is slow.
So what are my best options? jQuery? YUI? other 3rd party?
I think that papers are a great information source. they generally tend to be built upon other experts investigations, and generally are short enough to transmit you great ideas in a short coffee read.
But I don't really have read many papers in this area. So I would like to start soon and I'll be glad to hear your thoughts.
So I wonder what have been the best programming paper you have read?
I have found few links but could not decide which one is the best way.

(This stores all localised language data in one field. Can be a problem if we query from Sql)

(This one has a warning at the beginning that it is a hack and no longer supported)

When we copy files in windows, we get an expected time of completion. Is that time the best time or the worst time? Also are you assuming the environmental variables?
have to check some formulae whether they are providing correct result, these formula are written part of a VB program, what is the best tool\method to unit test these formula?
We have a proprietary framework and now we want to integrate the authentication by client side ssl certificates.
What are the best practices to map a client certificate to a proprietary user account (for example a simple user table in the database)?
Save to public key of the certificate?
Save issuer and serialnumber?
Or are there other possibilities?
I have a bad case of carpal tunnel so I'm looking for an editor that would make my Java programming less painful (literally!).
Does anyone have any recommendations for tools that you can add to Eclipse, Netbeans or other IDEs to produce some of the repetitive code that's common in Java syntax?
Overall what would be the best code editor for this purpose?
(I'm coding on Ubuntu, in case it matters).
