  Is it possible for me to have a conditional in XSLT such that I find and replace only the FIRST tag of a particular tag name? For example, I have an XML file with many tags. I would like to replace the first of these tags with . The rest should be left alone. How would I do this in my transform? What I currently have is this: <xsl:template match="title"> <PageTitle> <xsl:apply-templates /> </PageTitle> </xsl:template> which finds all tags and replaces them with PageTitle. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

• ASP.Net UpdatePanel, want to have html-tag as a parameter

  This is my problem, I have one textbox, one button and one label. Everything is inside an updatepanel. Let's say I want to test if a valid html-tag is entered in the textbox when I press the button. In the code-behind I have a method for that. Everythings works just fine, except when I actually enter a html-tag in my textbox. If I test < html, it works. But not if I test . So my question is, doesn't the updatepanel accept html-tags as parameters? Because my breakpoint for the button_click doesn't triggers. Sorry for my bad english.. :)

  I am applying the 'url' template tag to all links in my current Django project. I have my urls named like so... url(r'^login/$', 'login', name='site_login'), This allows me to access /login at my site's root. I have my template tag defined like so... <a href="{% url site_login %}"> It works fine, except that Django automatically resolves that url as /myprojectname/login, not /login. Both urls are accessible. Why? Is there an option to remove the projectname? This occurs for all url tags, not just this one.

  I want to use tags for a model in my Rails application, and I'd like to have the same kind of tag selection mechanism that Stack Overflow has when asking a question. I.e. I type in 'rails' and it drops down a list of tags that include 'rails', and I can go on to add more tags from there. Is there a plugin that can do this? I'm comfortable putting together the tag model and migrations myself, that isn't an issue. I just need something to handle the AJAX and javascript. I'm using prototype and Rails 2.3.

  I have a table view controller with multiple UISwitch controls in them. I set the delegate to the table view controller with the same action for all switches. I need to be able to determine what switch was changed, so I create an array of strings that contains the name of each switch. The indexes in the array will be put in the tag property of each UISwitch. However, I'm ready using the tag property for something else, namely to find the right control in the cell in cellForRowAtIndexPath with viewWithTag! (There are several things I need to set within each cell.) So, am I thinking along the right lines here? I feel I'm rather limited in how I find out exactly which UISwitch changed its value, so I can do something useful with it.

• How to make and use first object in Objective C to store sender tag

  I started with a sample program that simply sets up a UIView with some buttons on it. Works great. I want to access the sender tag from each button and save it. My first thought was to save it to a global variable but I couldn't get it to work right. I thought the best way would be to create an object with one property and synthesize it so I can get or set it as needed. First, I created GlobalGem.h: #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> @interface GlobalGem : NSObject { int gemTag; } @property int gemTag; -(void) print; @end Then I created GlobalGem.m: #import "GlobalGem.h" @implementation GlobalGem @synthesize gemTag; -(void) print { NSLog(@"gemTag value is %i", gemTag); } @end The sample code I worked from doesn't do anything I can see in "main" where the program initializes. They just have their methods and are set up to handle IBOutlet actions. I want to use this object in the IBOutlet methods. But I don't know where to create the object. In the viewDidLoad, I tried this: GlobalGem *aGem = [[GlobalGem alloc]init]; [aGem print]; I added reference to the .h file of course. The print method works. In the nslog I get "gemTag value is 0". But now I want to use the instance aGem in some of the IBOutlet actions. For instance, if I put this same method in one of the outlet actions like this: - (IBAction)touchButton:(id)sender { [aGem print]; } ...I get a build error saying that "aGem is undeclared". Yes, I'm new to objective c and am very confused. Is the instance I created, aGem, in the viewDidLoad not accessible outside of that method? How would I create an instance of a Class that I can store a variable value that any of the IBOutlet methods can access? All the buttons need to be able to store their sender tag in the instance aGem and I'm stuck. As I mentioned earlier, I was able to write the sender tag to a global variable I declared in the UIView .h file that came with the program, but I ran into issues using it. Where am I off?

Here is the code <!DOCTYPE HTML> <html> <body> <video src="./Pilot.avi" controls="controls"> your browser does not support the video tag </video> </body> </html> Pilot.avi is stored in the same same directory as this HTML page. The problem is, I am seeing the controls being displayed but can't play the video. I tried with, 1) Mozilla Firefox 3.6.13 2) Google Chrome 8.0.552.224 What could be the problem? But the text shown as html tag attribute are shown in unicode. I'm positive that on the server side(PHP), both texts are treated in the same way and are encoded in utf-8.   I am developing a bookmarklet that requires a specific version of jQuery be loaded on the page. When I have to dynamically insert a jQuery script tag to meet the requirments of the bookmarklet I want to wait for the onload or onreadystatechange event on the script tag before executing any function that requires jQuery. For some reason the onload and/or onreadystatechange events do not fire.   Hi Folks, I'm complaining about the growth of jQuery tagged questions at stackoverflow. There are so many people who ask, 'How to implement a specific plugin?' or 'How to use that plugin?' which makes me kinda sick. IMO: If you Tag a question to jQuery, javascript or C, it should be a question about the language itself and not some 'goofy' little plugin. Best case scenario, Tag those questions with jquery-plugins.   Hi folks My problem is that I'm trying to count which tag has been used most in a table of user-submitted code. But the problem is with the database structure. The current query I'm using is this: SELECT tag1, COUNT(tag1) AS counttag FROM code GROUP BY tag1 ORDER BY counttag DESC LIMIT 1 This is fine, except, it only counts the most often occurence of tag1 - and my database has 5 tags per post - so there's columns tag1, tag2, tag3, tag4, tag5. How do I get the highest occurring tag value from all 5 columns in one query? Jack

  I currently have code like this in a web based file called 'view_file.php' to grab an image from an internal network. <img src="put_file.php?type=<?=$TN_TYPE;?>&path=<?=$TN_PATH;?>&filename=<?=$TN_FILENAME;?>" /> The 'put_file.php' script allows access to an internal server that we don't want to expose to the internet. This script checks to see if an image is available and if it is, sends an image header and then uses readfile() to stream the image to the 'view_file.php' page. The problem is if there isn't an image available, instead of streaming a temporary 'spacer.gif' i want to not have the img tag written at all. Any Ideas how to do this? I'm thinking maybe move the img tag into the 'put_file.php' script, but how to mix strings and steams?

The function above is called on another selectboxes "OnChange" event, to fill sub-select-box with the desired options. I don't think it should be too difficult to add the "optgroup" tag into this, or is it? Thanks and if you need more input let me know...
