• FTPS connection stalled on TLS initialization?

  Hello, I am very good with an HTTP server, but I am new to FTP. I'm trying to configure a FTPS connection and I have listen set to port 990. But FileZilla client connection always hangs up on TLS initialization and then times out. Any suggestions on configuration? This is my current FTPS config: Enable FTP over SSL/TLS support (FTPS) - Checked Allow explicit FTP over TLS - Checked Disallow plain unencrypted FTP - Checked Force PROT P to encrypt file transfers in SSL/TLS mode - Checked

• How to fix broken IIS on Windows 7

  how can I fix broken IIS on Windows 7 ? Deinstalling it via "Windows Features" doesn't help. Apparently it doesn't uninstall IIS completely so on my subsequent attempts to install it installer hangs and I can see in Process Explorer that it keeps trying to launch svchost.exe -iis for 10 mins and then gives me error message. Reinstalling whole Windows with all apps would take me another 3 days :/ Please help.

  I have an issue when connecting to remote machines using the following: Set objWMIService = objSWbemLocator.ConnectServer _ (sIP, "root\CIMV2", strUser, strPassword, "MS_409", "ntlmdomain:" + sDomain, 128) the problem is that some machines are not timing out and the process hangs. Why does DIG hang and not timeout after 10 seconds when executing the following: dig +tries=1 +tries=1 +retry=1 +time=5 +trace google.us.com DIG hangs for about 30 seconds instead of timing out and then dies with the following error message: dig: couldn't get address for 'ns.reserved-domain.uk.com': no more Do I need to set another flag/option for DIG to have it timeout instead of hanging, or is this a bug?   am attempting to setup a test bed with 2 server using IOmeter.exe I have IoMeter & Dynamo running on My Manger server @ 10.0.0.3 i have another machine running only Dynamo @ 10.0.0.4 so. on 10.0.0.4 i run "Dyanmo.exe /i 10.0.0.4 /m 10.0.0.3" at this point the Iometer.exe on 10.0.0.3 Hangs and stops responding. Any Thoughts?

• How do I install informix odbc on windows server 2003/2008?

  I installed the informix client sdk on my pc (32 bit) and on the server, I could create an odbc connection on my pc easily, but on both windows 2003 and 2008 (64 bit) I can't. I don't know if there is a 64 bit sdk, maybe this is the issue. But I haven't found what to do. I need to use odbc since using the sdk by itself hangs IIS, and according to this post http://forums.asp.net/p/1269896/2425034.aspx#2425034 the solution is to use odbc. thanks

  I'm using an external hard drive, a Western Digital MyBook 1TB of some sort with eSATA on an eSATA II ExpressCard adapter from Belkin on Windows Vista 32-bit. The issue I'm having is that after a while power management kicks in and puts the hard drive to sleep. When I resume my work and browse the drive, for example, the Explorer hangs and while I can still use my other apps, it takes a couple minutes for it to realize it should wake up the drive and recommence work. What's going on?

  I installed Keepass 1.16 in my thumbdrive, which reportedly works with wine (as per Keepass homepage), but after entering the master password it just hangs and shows the "The program keepass has encountered a serious problem and needs to close" screen.   I'm trying to configure caller id on a USB modem connected to a Windows 7 x32 machine. Hyperterminal isn't available so I downloaded the latest version of Putty and am using the Serial option. I'm using the modem's COM port details from Device Manager (COM5, 115200 baud), but when I open the putty session it just hangs with the cursor at the top left hand corner. Hitting the Enter key does nothing. Any ideas??

• Huge excel sheet taking too long to update links or calculate formulae

  I have Excel sheet with 5000 rows and columns till AY (size 12MB). Except for the first 6 columns, rest contain either vlookups or formulae. All the vlookups are in separate Excel sheet. I have changed the Excel setting to manually update the links and calculate formulae. Now everytime I try to update the links, either the Excel sheet hangs or it takes something like 15 minutes. • Why does Chromium run so slow in portable mode?

  I am using Chromium on a flash drive through LiberKey and it does everything I want it to do as far as syncing my Chrome bookmarks from home, etc. But it's soooooo slow. If I open more than 1 tab, or if a tab is heavy with code such as Gmail or GMaps, then the entire program hangs for about 5-10 seconds. I don't exactly know how portable apps work when run from a flash drive, so is there a way to speed up load times?

  I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 64 bit on an AMD. It regularly hangs for a few minutes at a time when some of the processes's CPU usage % goes into 'disk sleep'. During that time I can't start new programs and most of the programs on the desktop become unresponsive. I would rather it didn't hang and my applications remained reliably responsive. Why does this happen and how can I stop it?
