    I keep getting an error the reads: "Excel found unreadable content in "Book.xlsm". Do you want to recover the contents of this workbook?.................". When I click "Yes" it removes the vba macro from my workbook.     I created an image of my system with macrium reflect freeware program and stored the image on an usb external hard drive. However the macrium reflect linux recovery disc on startup hangs up of the first three lines of instructions and therefore I cannot access the image on the usb external hard drive if I wish to recover my system. I have a Lenovo laptop with the Windows-7 Home Premium operating system. What can be done to ensure that the recovery disc will work?

  • How do I access a hard drive from a computer where windows is deleted?

    Here is the current situation: My cousin deleted Windows from his hard drive (yeah, don't ask...). His hard drive still has about 200 GB of files on it that he may want to recover before we format the hard drive and reinstall Windows 7 to it. Is there a way I can create a bootable CD from some utility that will allow me to access the files on the hard drive, and copy it to a flash drive? What's the best utility for that?

  • Is Windows Update deleting Sticky Notes (StikyNot.exe)?

    I got a Windows 7 computer for Christmas and I like the Sticky Notes application. But twice now, the sticky notes have disappeared after an automatic Windows Update. I managed to navigate system restore and recover them, but it was a pain. The update seems to be deleting StikyNot.exe, but I haven't been able to find any info on why. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas how to prevent it from happening again?

  • How to restore a dd overwritten disk partition?

    First of all, I admit I'm stupid and I didn't run proper backup of my data, but you know crap happens... So, I've used dd to overwrite the first 2GB of my 750GB NTFS partition with a FAT32 partition. I've run Photorec and EasyRecovery but all I can restore is the 2GB FAT32 partition and the files on that. Is there a way to "roll back" to the NTFS paritition, and recover - at least - some part of the 750GB data? Thanks.

    I am trying to install xp on a old laptop (compaq presario 700) with a stored verion of xp that i burn to an iso the copy of xp is legit but it won't boot to it. I am able to boot to the crap recover cd that is basically just dos and to a copy of "ultimate boot cd v5" that i just now downloaded and created from the same computer and burner that the xp cd was made from. everything boots but this xp cd. is there a way to tell if its boot-able

    After a windows crash, I bought a new computer. I would like to recover the mails stored in the old install. I can access the old drive as a data disk, but windows won't boot anymore from it. I've reinstalled everything on the new computer, but can't find my old emails. Where are they stored ? Since I can't boot from the old drive, I cannot use Outlook's .pst export :(
