  I am in trouble. I placed and advt on a website in 2012 which said he has 950,000 unique visits each month so early in 2012 i advertised with them. The advertised didn't worked out so checked in 2-3 months time and i saw that the unique visitors on their site was 8,000 at that time.I immediately close the account I dont remember which site i was checking the unique visitors.That advt company has filed a dispute against me. So is there any tool that give me stats of 2012 of any website. i tried google trends but it doesnt show statistics ..

• SharePoint Web Analytics not tracking usage for main application

  My SP 2010 setup is two separate applications - one for the main portal and one for MySite. Whilst WebAnalytics is tracking usage of MySite it's not showing any stats for the main Portal. The only thing it lists is the number of site collections but no page views etc. The WA service is clearly running to pick up data for MySite. In Configure web analytics and health data collection everything is ticked. I can't find any obvious settings that are different between the two applications. Where should I look to get usage tracking correctly?

• Credentials work for SSMS but not (ODBC) LogParser script

• Is there a way to determine the original size or file count of a 7-zip archive?

  I know that when I compress an archive with the 7za utility, it gives me stats like the number of files processed and the amount of bytes processed (the original size of the data). Is it possible, using the commandline (on linux) or some programming language, to determine: the original size of an archive, before it was compressed? the number of files/directories contained within an archive? The answer might be "no, just decompress the whole archive and do counting/sizing then", but it would be useful to know if there was a faster/less space-greedy way.

• How do I make h.264 work on YouTube on Firefox on Windows 7 64 bit?

  Various news articles state that Firefox supports h.264 on Windows since version 20. As of this writing the version is 24, yet Firefox still can't play most YouTube videos. I did the HTML5 opt-in and tested both Firefox and Nightly. I also made sure media.windows-media-foundation.enabled in about:config is enabled, and it is by default both on Firefox and Nightly. What's wrong and how do I fix it? Edit: This video works. This video fails. They're both MP4 (right click video - stats for nerds), so Firefox's h.264 support works at least some of the time. Edit: When I go to a YouTube video that doesn't work, click Share - Embed and then copy-paste the src of the iframe tag into the address bar, the video works.

• Monitoring ASA packet loss via SNMP

  I want to monitor packet loss on my ASA 5505 VPN endpoints using SNMP. This is so I can graph the rates in Cacti and/or get alerts in Nagios. However, I am not sure what SNMP values I should use to measure packet loss. In the ASA I can run sh interface Internet stats to show traffic statistics for the interface connected to the Internet. This shows 1 minute and 5 minute drop rates. Are these measures an indicator of packet loss? Are there SNMP values I can access that correspond to those values? Should I be looking at different values? Is the ASA even able to measure packet loss?

• Gather Outlook/Exchange connection Status responses from script

  I'm trying to figure out a way in-which I can remotely gather Outlook = Exchange Connection stats from systems. I know I can have the users Right-click their Outlook icon in the system notification area, and then choose "Connection Status", but I'd really like to be able to poll this information without having to as the user to do anything. I saw this previous post, and I believe what he did is similar to what I'm trying to do we created a VB application that would pull user PTO information from a backend system and send out status emails to each of the users on a monthly basis but I'm trying to do it to gather the connection information from all my sites for certain parts of the day. Ideally I would like to do this via some sort of VBScript code since that is what I'm most familiar with, but I can work with Powershell too. My environment is all Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003 clients.

• Can dd-wrt or tomato keep track of GB usage per billing period per device?

  I want to be able to track the usage of each device connecting to our router so we can split up the ISP bill by usage. Can dd-wrt or tomato provide the stats I'd need to do this? Update: After a bit of googling I'm aware of a much better answer than the current one. However I suspect there's probably more answers out there for other firmwares so in the interests of getting a more diverse set of answers—­and, I'll admit, because I'm getting tired of reading through obtuse firmware documentation—I've put up a bounty. If the only answer added is the one I've found I'll be happy to accept it for the bounty, otherwise I'll add it and accept it myself, but I'm hoping for an even better answer, or at least some options for other firmwares as from looking I've seen a few other people have asked for this and there doesn't appear to be a definitive answer, let's make this it!   I've xen server with 8 domU. Server is Xeon E31270 with 16gb ram. I think it is enough for 8 machines. Sometimes domU's crashes and i can't figure out the reason. But there is no any memory problems reported in munin monitoring: As you see system uses around 0.2G and 1G is available. So my question is: Is it xen specific problem, that real memory usage and memory usage that shows munin are different (I've never seen such problems oh real hardware machines)? Or maybe it is just monitoring problem, that can't catch moment when there is unusual high load and domU go down? And how I can to defeat this problem? it is really annoying to catch messages in e-mail that domU went down. Btw, such situation was when domU had 2G memory.

I have a 60Mbps but the speed is never above 300Kbps when I browse Internet or download something. Even from Microsoft or Apple (the fastest server I found). Now on Windows 8, we can see the Wi-Fi stats in Task Manager, there they are: Notice the red rectangle. The signal is 3/5 and I'm about 5 meters far from my router. An Apple Time-Capsule. Also, the connection type is 802.11g, I want N. I made this config in my Device Properties: Does anyone figured out to force the 802.11n in Windows? (Windows 8 preferably)

  I have an application deployed on WebLogic 10.3, which exhibits a strange behavior. I am running a constant (not too high) load on my application (20 concurrent users, running a light activity). The response time is reasonable (well below 100ms after the application stabilizes) Memory consumption seems fine (My application creates a lot of short-living objects, but they are garbaged collected so the overall memory consumption stays under 500 mb). Threads stats seem healthy as well: And yet, after I leave my test running for a while, more and more execute threads ("[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '3' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'") are created, until eventually the application crashes: This test hasn't been running for a long time (All the new threads that you don't see in the first screenshot were created while I was writing this question), and I've seen much more threads being created. Any idea why these threads are being created?

• Why is Windows Explorer not responding?

  I am having the seemingy popular problem with Widows Explorer not responding. I have tried the AUTRUNS and turned off everything recommended. I have run SCANNOW 3 times and it comes back clean. When booting in safe mode it appears to work. I read someplace that the problem could be a service program, but can't remember where I read it or how to do it. Something about turning off all service programs and then turning them back on one at a time. The problem is I don't remember what it said to do. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. as an FYI here is my system stats Sorry I can't access that part of control panel right now because windows explore not responding. I have an HPdesk top with a AMD quad core processor 1.8GB 1.5TB sata drives (a 1TB and a 500GB) Nvidia 8400 graphics card a 2mb internet connetion wireless 2 DBD R?W drives. • rsync doesn't use delta transfer on first run

  I'm trying to synchronize a large local directory (with a batch file using rsync 3.0.7 on Cygwin, Windows 7 x64, 30k files, 200gb size) to a remote server (Debian x64 with kernel 2.6, rsyncd 3.0.7) over a slow internet connection (90kbyte/s upload). I know almost all files are identical and I verified that using md5sum locally and remotely. However when executing rsync from my local machine every file gets transferred completely for the first time. When I terminate the batch file after a few transfers and run it again then the already transferred files are skipped. But as soon as it gets to a file not yet transferred it uploads the file as a whole again instead of noticing that the checksum is the same locally and remotely.   I have a IPSec link between two sites over ASA 5520s running 8.4(3) and I am getting extremly poor performance when traffic passes over the VPN. CPU on the device is 13%, Memory at 408 MB, and active VPN sessions 2 so the load on the device is particularly low.   Because all my work is stored on a remote server I would like to auto backup my server monthly and weekly. My server is running Centos 5.5 and while searching the web I'm found a tool named rsync. I got my first update manually by using this command in terminal: sudo rsync -chavzP --stats USERNAME@IPADDRES: PATH_TO_BACKUP LOCAL_PATH_TO_BACKUP I then prompt my password for that user and bob's my uncle. This backups the necessary files from my remote server to my local device but does somebody know how I can automate this? Like automatic running this script every sunday? EDIT I forgot to mention that I let direct admin backup the files I need and then copy those files from the remote server to a local server.

• What are the risks in putting website files in the "root" folder of a shared web hosting server?

  A site I've been asked to manage is hosted (shared) on GoDaddy, with this folder structure: / public_html public_ftp mail stats logs etc... However, the website files are stored in the / folder, and NOT in public_html. I'm not sure if this is how GoDaddy sets up their customers' accounts, or if the old web developer accidentally changed it from public_html to root. But when we call up GoDaddy to tell them to correct this (move files to public_html), they won't change it and insist that there is no security risk unless someone gets a hold of the FTP password. Is this true? (I have always read that website files should be inside public_html.) If not, where could this setting be changed? The .htaccess is empty.

  I recently built a computer and randomly got a couple blue screens. I've run memtest and one of the memory sticks consistently throws memtest errors, while the other does not. The odd part is, memtest lists the following settings for my RAM: RAM: 535 MHz DDR 107 / CAS 2.5-1-3-1 DDR1 128 bits But my RAM is DDR3 1600? Memtest also lists my cpu as AMD K8, even though it's K10. I've probably going to RMA the ram stick, but I just wanted to see if anyone had any insight into the weird memtest stats.

  I have a wireless printer which is always on, and an always on fanless linux server. Looking at the mprinter project on Kickstarter I started to wonder if there is an app somewhere in the internet already that will allow to prepare an automated daily printout based on some settings. things to be printed could include - weather forecast for my locations, todo`s scheduled for that day, a "quote of a day" or "word of the day", stats from google analytics for my site, and many more ... I would set a printout at 6:15 every work day so its on my printer when I am already up, having a coffee. anyone knows something that can be used for such purpose? While I know this can be done by combining the power of TeX, cron and a script language to manage the dynamic part of the PDF I believe this is a use case someone has already addressed.

• Why is Firefox so slow and heavy?

  For some reason, when I go to links the pages seem slow and heavy. It also has a lot of lag spikes between page loads. Basically it seems to freeze then load it all at once fast. I'm currently using Firefox 25. But when I use the same Chrome version, it seems to be very fast and smooth page loading. The CPU it takes on average is about 400,000k.
