• Jasper Sub reports not showing in main report

  I am having one jasper report.Inside of the that main report I am adding one sub report.I am passing collections and parameters using java class(Not using sql query directly).It is compiling successfully. But while running it shows only main report.It is not showing the sub report.And also it is not making any error. It is just giving some empty space for that place. Can any one tell me how to solve this? What are all the rules I have to follow while adding subreport in jasper?

• Double associative array or indexed + associative array

  I'm undecided what's the best-practice approach for what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to enter data into an array where the data will look like this: apple color: red price: 2 orange color: orange price: 3 banana color: yellow price: 2 pineapple color: yellow price: 5 When I get input, let's say green apple (notice it's a combo of color + name of fruit), I'm going to check if the name of fruit part exists in the array and display its data (if it exists). What's the right way to compose those arrays? How would I do an indexed array containing an associative array? (or would this be better as 2 nested associative arrays, I'm guessing not)

• viewDidLoad never called in Sub-classed UIViewController

  I've run into some trouble with loading a sub-classed UIViewController from a nib. My viewDidLoad function is never called. The super-class has no nib, but the sub-classes each have their own. i.e. @interface SuperClass : UIViewController { } @end @interface SubClass : SuperClass{ } @end @implementation SubClass - (id)initWithNibName:(NSString *)nibNameOrNil bundle:(NSBundle *)nibBundleOrNil { self = [super initWithNibName:nibNameOrNil bundle:nibBundleOrNil]; if (self) { } return self; } - (void)viewDidLoad{ // Never called } The view is loaded from a nib as follows: SubClass *scvc = [[SubClass alloc] initWithNibName:@"SubClass" bundle:nil]; [self.navigationController pushViewController:scvc animated:YES]; [scvc release]; There is a nib file with this name and it has it's file owner's class set properly. viewDidLoad is not called in the child or super. Any ideas?

• Single OpenID Across Sub-Domains

  I'm using OpenID much the same as here on StackOverflow to authenticate my users. What I really need to be able to do though is have that OpenID work across all sub-domains of my site. The site behaves much the same as Kijiji in that each region has it's own subdomain calgary.example.com toronto.example.com vancouver.example.com etc When a user logs into "calgary" and later logs into "toronto", they will be forced to "give permission" at the provider, thus resulting in a new OpenID and resulting also in a new login. My app "can" have multiple OpenID's under one account, but that would become cumbersome to manage. Is there a way to have the provider link up to the top level domain and subsequently work across all sub-domains? I'm using DotNetOpenAuth.

  Hey Guys, i hope someone can help me out on this one here. I use several associative arrays in my php application and i'm using to php documentor to comment my sources. I never really did specified comments for the arrays in an array, but now i need to do that and dont know how. $array = array('id' => 'test', 'class' => 'tester', 'options' => array('option1' => 1, 'option2' => 2)) So how do i comment this array in the correct way for @var and @param comments? I could do this like this, but dunno, if this is correct: @param string $array['id'] @param string $array['class'] @param int $array['options']['option1'] But how to this for the var part?   When declaring an Array in PHP, the index's may be created out of order...I.e Array[1] = 1 Array[19] = 2 Array[4] = 3 My question. In creating an array like this, is the length 19 with nulls in between? If I attempted to get Array[3] would it come as undefined or throw an error? Also, how does this affect memory. Would the memory of 3 index's be taken up or 19? • Oracle, slow performance when using sub select

  I have a view that is very slow if you fetch all rows. But if I select a subset (providing an ID in the where clause) the performance is very good. I cannot hardcode the ID so I create a sub select to get the ID from another table. The sub select only returns one ID. Now the performance is very slow and it seems like Oracle is evaluating the whole view before using the where clause. Can I somehow help Oracle so SQL 2 and 3 have the same performance?   I am trying to use the Google Contacts API to connect to a user's contact information, on my Google apps domain. Generating an access_token using the gdata api's ContactsService clientlogin function while using the API key for my project works fine, but I would prefer to not store the user's credentials, and from the information I have found that method uses OAuth1.0 So, to use OAuth2.0 I have: Generated a Service Account in the developer's console for my project Granted access to the service account for the scope of https://www.google.com/m8/feeds/ in the Google apps domain admin panel Attempted to generate credentials using SignedJwtAssertionCredentials: credentials = SignedJwtAssertionCredentials( service_account_name=service_account_email, private_key=key_from_p12_file, scope='https://www.google.com/m8/feeds/', sub=user_email') The problem I am running into is that attempting to generate an access token using this method fails. It succeeds in generating the token when I remove the sub parameter, but then that token fails when I try to fetch the user's contacts. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

  Hi folks, I'm baffled on this after much googling. This issue is simple, I have a custom CMS i've built that works perfectly on my dev box (Ubuntu/PHP5+/MySQL5+). I just moved it up to the production box for my client and now all form submissions are showing up as empty $_POST arrays. I found a trick to verify the data is actually being passed using "file_get_contents('php://input');" and the data is showing up fine there -- the $_POST/$_REQUEST arrays are always empty. I've also verified the content-type headers are correct as well via firebug (application/x-www-form-urlencoded; charset=utf-8). This issue is happening regardless of whether a form is submitting via AJAX or a regular form submit. Any help is greatly appreciated!

• setCursor on container without it changing cursor of sub components

  JPanel panel = new JPanel(null); panel.setSize(400, 400); panel.add(new JButton("Test")); panel.setCursor(Cursor.getCursor(Cursor.SOMETHING_SOMETHING_CURSOR)); The panel will have a custom cursor, but I don't want the button to have a custom cursor. I don't want to have to set the cursor of every sub component, because in my application I have many and I don't want to litter the code with setCursor statements. Is there a way, like overriding a method on the JPanel or something? A "contains" method somewhere is used to determine if a cursor needs to be set. Could I fool it into thinking the mouse is not in the container if it's really in a sub component? Any other nifty little trick?

• PHP to make vars and values part of array

  I currently have this function to search and replace in a text file. // Input $ect = array('Visssa', 'Lisssa', 'her'); // Placeholders in the file $put = array('lname', 'fname', 'hisher'); // Replace the placeholders $oput = str_replace($put, $ct, 'tmpfile.txt'); This is not the full program but the idea is replace the values found in tmpfile.txt with the ones found in the $etc array. And it works flawlessly. But, what I need to do is get all passed vars (get/post) and then make the arrays so that the var is the value to replace and the value is the value to replace it with. So, if I sent the url http://xyz.com/?lname=tom&ogre=yes All instances of lname in the file would be replaces with tom and all instances of ogre would be replaced with yes. So somehow it just gets any/all variables passed in get/post and then the arrays showed above would cause the var to be replaced by the value in the file.

  The standard array-size macro that is often taught is #define ARRAYSIZE(arr) (sizeof(arr) / sizeof(arr[0])) or some equivalent formation. However, this kind of thing silently succeeds when a pointer is passed in, and gives results that can seem plausible at runtime until things mysteriously fall apart. It's all-too-easy to make this mistake: a function that has a local array variable is refactored, moving a bit of array manipulation into a new function called with the array as a parameter. So, the question is: is there a "sanitary" macro to detect misuse of the ARRAYSIZE macro in C, preferably at compile-time? In C++ we'd just use a template specialized for array arguments only; in C, it seems we'll need some way to distinguish arrays and pointers. (If I wanted to reject arrays, for instance, I'd just do e.g. (arr=arr, ...) because array assignment is illegal).

• Why use third-party vector libraries at all?

  So I'm thinking of using the Eigen matrix library for a project I'm doing (2D space simulator). I just went ahead and profiled some code with Eigen::Vector2d, and with bare arrays. I noticed a 10x improvement in assigning values to elements in the array, and a 40x improvement in calculating the dot products. Here is my profiling if you want to check it out, basically it's ~4.065s against ~0.110s. Obviously bare arrays are much more efficient at dot products and assigning stuff. So why use the Eigen library (or any other library, Eigen just seemed the fastest)? Is it stability? Complicated maths that would be hard to code by yourself efficiently?

  This seems like a simple request, but google is not my friend because "partition" scores a bunch of hits in database and filesystem space. I need to enumerate all partitions of an array of N values (N is constant) into k sub-arrays. The sub-arrays are just that - a starting index and ending index. The overall order of the original array will be preserved. For example, with N=4 and k=2: [ | a b c d ] (0, 4) [ a | b c d ] (1, 3) [ a b | c d ] (2, 2) [ a b c | d ] (3, 1) [ a b c d | ] (4, 0) I'm pretty sure this isn't an original problem (and no, it's not homework), but I'd like to do it for every k <= N, and it'd be great if the later passes (as k grows) took advantage of earlier results.   I'm doing a little datamining project where a perl script grabs info from a SQL database and parses it. The data consists of several timestamps. I want to find how many of a particular type of timestamp exist on any particular day. Unfortunately, this is my first perl script, and the nature of perl when it comes to hashes and arrays is confusing me quite a bit. Code segment: my %values=();#A hash of the total values of each type of data of each day. #The key is the day, and each key stores an array of each of the values I need. my @proposal; #[drafted timestamp(0), submitted timestamp(1), attny approved timestamp(2),Organiziation approved timestamp(3), Other approval timestamp(4), Approved Timestamp(5)] while(@proposal=$sqlresults->fetchrow_array()){ #TODO: check to make sure proposal is valid #Increment the number of timestamps of each type on each particular date my $i; for($i=0;$i<=5;$i++) $values{$proposal[$i]}[$i]++; #Update rolling average of daily #TODO: To check total load, increment total load on all dates between attourney approve date and accepted date for($i=$proposal[1];$i<=$proposal[2];$i++) $values{$i}[6]++; } I keep getting syntax errors inside the for loops incrementing values. Also, considering that I'm using strict and warnings, will Perl auto-create arrays of the right values when I'm accessing them inside the hash, or will I get out-of bounds errors everywhere? • Declaration of arrays before "normal" variables in c?

  Hi We are currently developing an application for a msp430 MCU, and are running into some weird problems. We discovered that declaring arrays withing a scope after declaration of "normal" variables, sometimes causes what seems to be undefined behavior. Like this: foo(int a, int *b); int main(void) { int x = 2; int arr[5]; foo(x, arr); return 0; } foo sometimes is passed a pointer as the second variable, that does not point to the arr array. We verify this by single stepping through the program, and see that the value of the arr variable in the main scope is not the same as the value of the b pointer variable in the foo scope. And no, this is not really reproduceable, we have just observed this behavior once in a while. Changing the example seems to solve the problem, like this: foo(int a, int *b); int main(void) { int arr[5]; int x = 2; foo(x, arr); return 0; } Does anybody have any input or hints as to why we experience this behavior? Or similar experiences? The MSP430 programming guide specifies that code should conform to the ANSI C89 spec. and so I was wondering if it says that arrays has to be declared before non-array variables? Any input on this would be appreciated.
