  • xcode project-/target-settings-syntax for linker flag force_load on iPhone

    Hi all. I am confronted with the double bind, that on the one hand for one of the 3rd party static libraries, my iPhone application uses, the linker flag -all_load has to be set in the application project- or target settings, otherwise the app crashes at runtime not finding some symbols, called internally from the lib, on the other hand for another 3rd party static lib -all_load must not be set on application level, or the app won't build thanks to a "duplicate symbols"-linker error. To solve this issue I now want to use force_load instant of load_all, as it due to documentation it does the same like all_load, but only for the passed path or lib-file, instead of all libs. The problem with force_load is, I do not have a clue, how to pass a path or file as parameter with it, when passing it via xcode project- or target-settings. All syntax-possibilities coming to my mind either lead into xcode thinking its another linker flag instead of a parameter to the previous one, or the linker is throwing syntax related errors or the flag simply does nothing at all in comparison to not being set. I also opened the .pbxproj-file in a text-editor to edit it to the correct command line syntax manually, but when reloading the project with xcode, it auto changes the syntax into interpreting the parameter to force_load as a separate flag.   • How to handle build rule with unknown targets in OMake when target list generator is built

    I have a project which uses OMake for its build system, and I am trying to handle a rather tough corner case. I have some definition files and a tool which can take these definition files and create GraphViz files. There are two problems, though: Each definition file can produce multiple graphs, and the list of graphs it can produce is encoded in the file. My dump tool does have a -list option which lists all the graphs a definition file will produce. This dump tool is built in the source tree. I want this list available in the OMakefile so I can use other rules to convert the DOT files to SVG, and have a phony target depend on all the SVGs (goal: a single build command which builds SVG descriptions of all my graphs). If I only had the first problem, it would be easy - I would run the tool to build a list, and then use that list to build a target which invokes the dumper to output the GraphViz files. However, I am rather stuck on forcing the dump tool to be built before it is needed. If this were make, I would just run make recursively to build the dump tool. OMake does not allow recursive invocation, however, and the build function is only usable from osh. Any suggestions for a good solution to this problem?

  • make target is never determined up to date

    Cygwin make always processing $(chrome_jar_file) target, after first successful build. So I never get up to date message and always see commands for $(chrome_jar_file) are executing. However it happens only on Windows 7. On Windows XP once it built and intact, no more builds. I narrowed down the issue to one prerequisite - $(jar_target_dir).     I have a windows server 2008 R2 running a couple of sites for me, while developing i usually post updates to this server. Now, i tried posting an update but it failed said it has a file in use and the error msg is as follows: "The action can't be completed because the file is open in IIS Worker Process" "Close the file and try again." I have tried stopping the site but this does not help. The site is running in the same application pool as the site that should stay online so a recycle might be breaking the running site (If this is wrong, please correct me). Question is: Is there a way to "Release" the lock that is put on the file without stopping other currently running sites?

  • Windows Server 2012 IPAM feature - "Unblock IPAM Access" error/recomended action

    So, I'm in the process of setting up an IP Address Management server, using the built-in IPAM feature in Server 2012, and have run into a problem that I'm hoping someone else has successfully solved. Following the technet guide here, I've installed and configured IPAM, and have provisioned it via GPO. After verifying that the PowerShell invoke-ipamgpoprovisioning command is successful, managing the desired servers in IPAM, running gpupdate /force on the servers and refreshing my view in IPAM, I'm still getting the less-than-useful recommended action of "Unblock IPAM Access" for all servers. (First done 3 hours ago, so it's not a give-it-time-to-propagate issue.) Can't, for the life of me, seem to figure out what's causing this, find anything useful in the logs, or find much about this on Google or in the help files, so I was wondering if anyone here had any ideas about how to fix this, or even where to start looking. I'd really like to get this working, because if not, I have to resume work on creating an Excel spreadsheet for IP address management.

  • www-data can upload a file but cant move it after the upload action

    I am currently running Apache and PHP on Ubuntu. I have a page where a user is supposed to upload a profile image. The action on the backend is supposed to work like this: Upload file to user directory -- WORKS! Refer to the uploaded file and create a thumbnail in directory thumbs -- DOES NOT WORK www-data has write access to directory thumbs. My guess is that www-data for some reason does not have proper access to the file that was uploaded.   • Windows: How to add batch-script action to Right Click menu

    I have a few programs that creates temp files or backup files or similar files that are not important. For example, GVim for Windows by default creates a backup file in filename.txt~. I sometimes need to clean up a dir and remove all these files. I have made a simple .bat file for this. However, it is cumbersome to have to start up cmd, navigate to the folder, run the script. Especially since this is a script that I would like to run often on various folders. And I do not want to copy the script to multiple folders, as this would be a maintenance nightmare. So, I was thinking, that the best solution would be to add a Right Click menu item that allows me to run the script. So that I can right click on a folder in Explorer and click Cleanup and then have my script run on this folder. So my question is: How do I add a right click menu action that runs a custom batch script?

  • GVim asks for passphrase on every action when using scp

    I want to use my vim config when editing files, but there are at least 5 different servers right now where I have to edit them. Of course I could use console (where I set up ssh-keys and and have a script so it wont asks for passhphrase), but then I have to maintain the vim config on every machine. so I decided to use gvim and browse/edit the remote machines via scp://, but on every action a popup appears asking for the passphrase. this is a ubuntu 10.10 install, with xfce installed later on. i checked in the xfce settings so gnome services should start, but it still won't remember the passphrase.

  • BadImageFormatException when loading 32 bit DLL, target is x86

    I have a DLL (FreeType) which is certainly 32-bit (header: IMAGE_FILE_MACHINE_I386). I want to use it from C# code, using DllImport. Target of my application is x86, IntPtr.Size is 4, process is 32-bit. But I get BadImageFormatException (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B). What can be wrong? Of course I use 64-bit Windows 7.

    I was just wondering if it were at all possible for an Action Bar icon to only be shown when the device is in landscape mode? In portrait I have an onscreen button for a certain task, but in order to take advantage of all of the screen-space in landscape, that button won't fit. So I was wondering if I could put it in the Action Bar, but it would only be necessary when the device is in landscape. Thanks!
