Using Twitter as an example, they have pages labeled twitter.com/about and another page labeled twitter.com/{$username} However, how do you differentiate between say a user who has registers on to our site as "about" then. From this we are going to have a server conflict between the user "about" and the page about. What is the best way to handle this?

  • Using Tweet# to pull 5 most recent updates from a user

    I am working on a method that will allow me to pull in the 5 most recent posts that my company has made on it's Twitter account. One requirement of this web application is that it present these twitter posts as "regular" html in our website, so using the Twitter javascript method is ruled out. I have found Tweet#, a C# plugin that exposes the Twitter commands. This seems to be a nice way to pull this information but I have a question. I would like to be able to pull these updates from Twitter without authenticating to Twitter. Since the information is publically available I would think this would be fairly simple, however I'm having a problem with Tweet# wanting to do this. The cloest I have found to be able to do this requires my to login/authenticate with Twitter and then pull the 5 most recent tweets. Like this: var twitter = FluentTwitter.CreateRequest() .AuthenticateAs("UserName", "p@ssw0rd") .Configuration.CacheForInactivityOf(60.Seconds()) .Statuses().OnUserTimeline().Take(5).AsJson(); What I need is something that will allow my to specific the user id to pull the most recent 5 tweets from without authentication.

    I have a tab-delimited text file with all of the phone numbers I've called or received calls from in the past year. The phone numbers are all based in the US, so the format is ###-###-####. For tax purposes, I need to know which calls were personal and which ones were business-related. I could enter them all one-by-one into Google, but that will take forever because there are hundreds of numbers to check. Is there a program, MS Office plugin, or website that I can use to look up all of the numbers at once? If not, is there some way to create an Excel macro to do the lookups for me?

  • Why i disconnect every few seconds? using USB wireless adapter

    i know it's for ubuntu questions..but mint and ubuntu are very similiar and i had the same problem with linux ubuntu too..so i think this is the right place for my question anyway i don't have experience with drivers and other things,after installing Linux on my machine( i did dist-upgrade btw) everything seem to be great because i didn't have to install any driver, after a while i realized that my connection stop after few minutes(actually it shows that I'm connected but it's not) so i have to reconnect and after few minutes it disconnect again. I'm using Alfa USB wireless adapter AWS036H, and my Linux version is 11 i think the driver i'm using is Realtek i searched in the Internet and i found nothing. these are some outputs of few things     On our homepage we have a tweet button and counter: http://www.scirra.com This was around 600 until overnight it suddenly doubled to 1,200. It's been continuing to rise at a normal rate since. Has Twitter changed what counts as a Tweet for that counter? I've noticed competitors counts have dropped significantly. We don't buy tweets or followers, and I haven't found any spam tweets about us nor have we had any significant recent press.

    Something strange happened in my codes, actually I have a hyperlink that pass ID value in a query string to second page.in second page i have 2 sql datasource that both these sql datasources should get this id value and pass it to a filter parameter to show sth in datalist. so in another word I have a first page that has an hyperlink read ID value from a datasource and pass it to second page.its like below: <asp:HyperLink ID="HyperLink1" runat="server" NavigateUrl='<%# "~/forumpage.aspx?ID="+Eval("ID")%>'><%#Eval("title")%> </asp:HyperLink> then in second page i have one sql datasource with a query like this ...where ID=@id and get this id in query string from db.it work great . but i have problem with second sql datasource in second page it has a query sth like below:...forms.question_id=@id then in sql reference both to query string as ID that get by first page in hyperlink. but when i click in insert button show me error with fk. error:Error:The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_forumreply_forumquestions".   • Office 2007 constantly crashes, logged as Event ID 1000

    I have a user, who despite my best efforts, is having constant Office 2007 crashes. I've tried deleting their profile and setting it up again, repairing office, uninstalling completely and then reinstalling, and swapping out memory sticks. Any ideas? This is driving me nuts.

    Hello, I am using http://loungerepo.codeplex.com/ this library needs a unique id when I persist my entities to the repository. I decided for integer not Guid. The question is now where do I retrieve a new integer and how do I do it? Do you have any better ideas? What I do not like about my current apporach: -Having a private method in repositry class because a repositry is to fetch data only not "entity logic" like the counter - Having to access from the ViewModel a public property - located in the repository -, actually its not the ViewModel concern to get a entity id and assign it. Actually the ViewModel should ask for a schoolclass POCO and get a SchoolclassModel to bind to the UI. But then I have again to re-read the Schoolclass properties into the SchoolclassModel properties what I want to avoid.

  • Android relative layout problem

    Hello! I just can't display the button at the bottom of the screen. I have 2 textviews and 2 edittexts set as gone, and they become visible when user clicks checkbox.   • DOM Elements with same id and jQuery

    Hi I have multiple elements with the same structure in my application. Second div element's id varies as per the comment id in the db which is unique. There are elements with the id 'vote_up' and 'vote_down'. This gets repeated for each comment.What happens is that, as I mentioned, there are multiple comments. I want to perform an Ajax request. First of this structure functions properly using ajax, but the rest does an http request.
