  • "The Server is not configured correctly" message while playing movie in iphone

    Hi All, I am trying to play video files from iPhone media player in my iphone application.I am reading the stream from one Media server. but i am getting error message as "The server is not configured correctly". Here is my observation: - I kept five different video files on server.(i am sure that all of these files are properly encoded and in right format.) - When i try to run same video URL in Mobile Safari i works perfectly without any error. - When i try to run any of video it doesn't create any stream on media server.(Usually when i try to play video it create stream on media server.but here the stream is not created on server side.) - I tried to play this files using Apple's sample application MoviePlayer but i am facing same issue.(Here i tried to run the application on Simulator) I also checked on my iphone 2G having OS 3.1.2 (jailbreak) but i face same issue.   • WPF TreeView drag and drop using preview

    I'm handling drag and drop events in a TreeView using PreviewMouseDown, PreviewMouseMove and PreviewMouseUp, however, there is an issue. In my PreviewMouseDown handler, I set everything ready in case there's a drag started (detected in the Move event), however I set e.Handled = true. This means that standard selection events don't get generated on my tree! What I want to be able to do in my Up event is to invoke the standard treeview selection changed event - except I cannot call events outside of the tree. So what's the correct way to do this? I have tried using the standard MouseDown, MouseMove and MouseUp events however there's an issue with messing up my multiple selection feature that means I need to use the Preview version of those events.

    In my Android application I am getting a very strange crash, when I press a button (Image) on my UI the entire application freezes and after a couple of seconds I getthe dreaded force close dialog appearing.   • [android] Screen Orientation Landscape back to Portrait not working

    Hello, I've racked my brain for hours over this issue. I have created a main.xml and designed one for the res/layout-land (landscape) format and another one for portrait in res/layout. When I rotate the emulator (ctrl-F11), my app rotates properly to landscape using the correct main.xml, but a subsequent rotation back to portrait just keeps the landscape mail.xml. This was done in a 2.0 AVD.. Out of despiration I downloaded the new Sample Code for Multiple Resolutions and had to create a new 2.1 AVD, to my surprise rotation with this app works correctly as expected. So I then decided to try my app on the 2.1 AVD and it works perfectly. So, is this a Bug in a 2.0 AVD or is there something special I need to be doing for < 2.1 SDK versions? This is driving me crazy because no where did anyone mention this issue. Thanks in advance

  • Convert non-breaking spaces to spaces in Ruby

    I have cases where user-entered data from an html textarea or input is sometimes sent with \u00a0 (non-breaking spaces) instead of spaces when encoded as utf-8 json. I believe that to be a bug in Firefox, as I know that the user isn't intentionally putting in non-breaking spaces instead of spaces. There are also two bugs in Ruby, one of which can be used to combat the other. For whatever reason \s doesn't match \u00a0 However [^[:print:]] (which definitely should not match) and \xC2\xA0 both will match, but I consider those to be less-than-ideal ways to deal with the issue. Are there other recommendations for getting around this issue?

I have a Browser class that has functions to check if the user's browser is compatible with application or not. My dilemma is, index.php is executed for every controller call. So there are chances that this file gets executed multiple times within the same page and hence redirection becomes an issue. What's the best way to solve the looping issue? Thanks

  • Windows 7 Login User Doesn't Exist [closed]

    I have another interesting issue... because of some issue with a lost password, I had to manually change the password to one of the accounts via and DOS hack. However, somehow in the process I now have a phantom username that I am asked to logon to when Windows first starts... This username doesn't exit. In order to login, I have to "change user" and manually type in the correct username. Is there a way that I can edit which username it prompts me for? I'd like to repair this without having to reinstall just yet.

    I've tried these phones: Moto Backflip 1.5, Nexus One 2.1 Basically I register BroadcastReceiver to get ACTION_HEADSET_PLUG broadcast and look on 3 extras that come in intent: state name microphone Here is the description from API: * state - 0 for unplugged, 1 for plugged. * name - Headset type, human readable string * microphone - 1 if headset has a microphone, 0 otherwise Issue #1: Broadcast comes when activity is started (not expected), when screen rotation happens (not expected) and when headset/headphones plugged/unplugged (expected). Issue #2: Backflip phone sends null for state + microphone, 'No Device' as name when headset/headphones unplugged, and sends null for state + microphone, 'Stereo HeadSet'/'Stereo HeadPhones' as name when headset/headphones plugged. Nexus even worse, it always sends null for state + microphone, 'Headset' as name when headset/headphones plugged or unplugged. Question: How it can be explained that API is broken so much on both 1.5 and 2.1 versions and different devices, manufactures?

  • Comparing two Oracle schema, other users

    Hello! I have been tasked with comparing two oracle schema with a large number of tables to find the structural differences in the schema. Up until know I have used the DB Diff tool in Oracle SQL Developer, and it has worked very well. The issue is that now I need to compare tables in a user that I cannot log into , but I can see it through the other users section in SQL developer. The issue is that whenever I try to use the diff tool to compare those objects to the other schema it does not work. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? It would save me a very large amount of work. I have some basic SQL knowledge if that is whats needed. Thanks.

    I have a SQL Server CE database that works fine in dev, but when installed on the client has an issue. The SQL Server CE 3.5 dependencies are copied as part of the deployment. The target machine is a clean Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate image. The message for the exception in the event log is: Internal error: Cannot open the shared memory region. It looks like this is SSCE_M_CANTOPENSHAREDMEMORY and the site says there isn't a connection string value to change this and that these issues are typically not resolvable by the end developers. Has anyone run into this, and if so were you able to resolve this issue?

  • Git checking out problem [fatal: early EOFs]

    Dear all, I'm running a Ubuntu (9.10) server with Git (latest from Ubuntu package manager) installed. Access to the Git is via SSH. On windows machines, I'm using Cygwin to push/pull code. I can push my project code onto the server but when I do a clone or pull, it returns a [fatal: early EOFs] error at about 75-80%. Upon further investigation, it seems like textual data has no issue when pulled/cloned but when the jar files and images are pulled from Git, the error will occur. Any suggestion/advice that can help to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance.

  • Coda-Slider Problem in ie7, need to remove horizontal scrollbar

    Hello, I am having a big issue with coda-slider and ie7. The horizontal scrollbar is unwanted and I cannot figure out how to remove it. Since coda-slider works as one long scrolling div, I could see why this is happening, however, in all other broswers, including ie8, there is no horizonal scroll.   • Installing Recaptcha in Joomla 1.5 user registration

    I am trying to install ReCaptcha into the user registration of Joomla 1.5. This may just be an issue with Joomla but when i hit register nothing happens. I think it's doing some JavaScript form validation but there is nothing telling the user what went wrong. if, God forbid, they do fill out the form correctly Joomla will redirect the user to the homepage and give no notice of success. Is this a Joomla issue or is there something wrong with my install? Does anyone know of a plug-in or module for Joomla that would make this easier? Thanks in advance, Samuel UPDATE: Joomla does a lot of "stuff"/"something" to the $_POST and $_GET variables which was causing the reCaptcha to not function. In other parts of this system, I would like to issue an 'up' command, or two sequential 'up' commands without leaving the pdb session (so the user ends up at a pdb prompt but up two levels on the call stack.   • What to Do When Windows Won’t Boot

    You turn on your computer one day and Windows refuses to boot — what do you do? “Windows won’t boot” is a common symptom with a variety of causes, so you’ll need to perform some troubleshooting. Modern versions of Windows are better at recovering from this sort of thing. Where Windows XP might have stopped in its tracks when faced with this problem, modern versions of Windows will try to automatically run Startup Repair. First Things First Be sure to think about changes you’ve made recently — did you recently install a new hardware driver, connect a new hardware component to your computer, or open your computer’s case and do something? It’s possible the hardware driver is buggy, the new hardware is incompatible, or that you accidentally unplugged something while working inside your computer. The Computer Won’t Power On At All If your computer won’t power on at all, ensure it’s plugged into a power outlet and that the power connector isn’t loose. If it’s a desktop PC, ensure the power switch on the back of its case — on the power supply — is set to the On position. If it still won’t power on at all, it’s possible you disconnected a power cable inside its case. If you haven’t been messing around inside the case, it’s possible the power supply is dead. In this case, you’ll have to get your computer’s hardware fixed or get a new computer. Be sure to check your computer monitor — if your computer seems to power on but your screen stays black, ensure your monitor is powered on and that the cable connecting it to your computer’s case is plugged in securely at both ends. The Computer Powers On And Says No Bootable Device If your computer is powering on but you get a black screen that says something like “no bootable device” or another sort of “disk error” message, your computer can’t seem to boot from the hard drive that Windows was installed on. Enter your computer’s BIOS or UEFI firmware setup screen and check its boot order setting, ensuring that it’s set to boot from its hard drive. If the hard drive doesn’t appear in the list at all, it’s possible your hard drive has failed and can no longer be booted from. In this case, you may want to insert Windows installation or recovery media and run the Startup Repair operation. This will attempt to make Windows bootable again. For example, if something overwrote your Windows drive’s boot sector, this will repair the boot sector. If the recovery environment won’t load or doesn’t see your hard drive, you likely have a hardware problem. Be sure to check your BIOS or UEFI’s boot order first if the recovery environment won’t load. You can also attempt to manually fix Windows boot loader problems using the fixmbr and fixboot commands. Modern versions of Windows should be able to fix this problem for you with the Startup Repair wizard, so you shouldn’t actually have to run these commands yourself. Windows Freezes or Crashes During Boot If Windows seems to start booting but fails partway through, you may be facing either a software or hardware problem. If it’s a software problem, you may be able to fix it by performing a Startup Repair operation. If you can’t do this from the boot menu, insert a Windows installation disc or recovery disk and use the startup repair tool from there. If this doesn’t help at all, you may want to reinstall Windows or perform a Refresh or Reset on Windows 8. If the computer encounters errors while attempting to perform startup repair or reinstall Windows, or the reinstall process works properly and you encounter the same errors afterwards, you likely have a hardware problem. Windows Starts and Blue Screens or Freezes If Windows crashes or blue-screens on you every time it boots, you may be facing a hardware or software problem. For example, malware or a buggy driver may be loading at boot and causing the crash, or your computer’s hardware may be malfunctioning. To test this, boot your Windows computer in safe mode. In safe mode, Windows won’t load typical hardware drivers or any software that starts automatically at startup. If the computer is stable in safe mode, try uninstalling any recently installed hardware drivers, performing a system restore, and scanning for malware. If you’re lucky, one of these steps may fix your software problem and allow you to boot Windows normally. If your problem isn’t fixed, try reinstalling Windows or performing a Refresh or Reset on Windows 8. This will reset your computer back to its clean, factory-default state. If you’re still experiencing crashes, your computer likely has a hardware problem. Recover Files When Windows Won’t Boot If you have important files that will be lost and want to back them up before reinstalling Windows, you can use a Windows installer disc or Linux live media to recover the files. These run entirely from a CD, DVD, or USB drive and allow you to copy your files to another external media, such as another USB stick or an external hard drive. If you’re incapable of booting a Windows installer disc or Linux live CD, you may need to go into your BIOS or UEFI and change the boot order setting. If even this doesn’t work — or if you can boot from the devices and your computer freezes or you can’t access your hard drive — you likely have a hardware problem. You can try pulling the computer’s hard drive, inserting it into another computer, and recovering your files that way. Following these steps should fix the vast majority of Windows boot issues — at least the ones that are actually fixable.   • Excel and Tab Delimited Files Question

    I am encountering what I believe to be a strange issue with Excel (in this case, Excel 2007, but maybe also Excel 2003, but don't have access to it as I write this). I can reliably convert some server data over into a tab-delimited format (been doing this for years) and then open it using Excel - no issue. However, what seems to be happening is if I have an html <table inside one of the fields, it looks like Excel 2007 thinks it should be converting the table into rows and columns inside Excel (not what I want). As you might imagine, this throws off the entire spreadsheet. So question is, is there any way to set up excel to NOT do this (perhaps some setting in Excel that pertains to reading tab delimited files), or am I missing something? Thanks.

    I am attempting to backup a database from a SQL Server instance on one machine and restore it to another, and I am encountering the frequently discovered 'SQL Server cannot process this media family' error. Each of my instances are SQL Server 2008, but with different patch levels Restore: 10.0.2531.0 Backup: 10.0.1600.22 ((SQL_PreRelease).080709-1414 ) The restore DB is express. Not sure about the backup version. The backup version is on a virtual private server. The restore is on my development box. When I restore to a different database on the source (backup) server, it restores fine. Lots of stuff on google about this issue, some on stackoverflow about this issue, but nothing which is this exact situation. Any thoughts? It should be straightforward to do a backup and restore from one machine to another (having done this thousands of times in with SQL 6.5,7,2000,2005).

  • WMIprvse process leaks memory on 2008 server R2

    I have a Windows 2008 R2 server running on a VM machine. My .NET service is running on this server periodically querying WMI, for example: SELECT ProcessId FROM Win32_Service WHERE ... After a day or two WMIprvse takes up to 500M memory and WMI queries start getting out of memory exceptions. This article seems to be talking about this issue: "http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958124" I've seen other articles saying that Microsoft is aware of the problem and not going to issue a fix until the next major release. http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/netfxbcl/thread/256eb40c-d050-4278-a3d8-863e30db02a0 I'd appreciate any suggestions and insights on this.

  • How to paste metafile from Microsoft Word at expected size

    I'm having an issue in a WPF application using the RichTextBox where content being pasted in from Microsoft Word is mangled. To work around the issue, I found that Word includes a metafile on the clipboard, and I can get the metafile from the clipboard using interop (WPF wouldn't properly import the metafile either). My problem, though, is that a metafile is scalable and so whether a user pastes a whole page of content or a small amount, the metafile claims that its Width is 4390. However, if I strip the clipboard of everything but the metafile and paste it into MSPaint, the resulting bitmap in paint has properly scaled the pasted metafile, so it seems to me that there must be some information somewhere that indicates the real size. Does anyone know how to get the proper expected size of the Metafile?

  • Wordpress 403/404 Errors: You don't have permission to access /wp-admin/themes.php on this server

    Some background: I setup six blogs this week, all using Wordpress 2.92, installed with Fantastico on a baby croc plan with Hostgator. I used the same theme (heatmap 2.5.4) and plugins for each blog. They were all up and running, no issues at all. I go to create a new blog this morning, using the same setup, and when I try to change the theme settings, I get the following error: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /wp-admin/themes.php on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/2.2.15 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.15 OpenSSL/0.9.8n DAV/2 mod_fcgid/2.3.5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at http://www.mydomain.com Port 80 I tried uninstalling WP and doing a clean install, still the same issue with a clean installation. So I went back and checked the six other blogs that I had setup over the last week or so, and they are also now giving me 403 or 404 errors when trying to change theme settings, and everytime there's an error it points to either themes.php or functions.php At this point I'm at my wits end trying to figure out what the problem is. Hostgator support looked at it and thought maybe it was a permissions issue but they reset those and I'm still having the problem. At first I thought the problem might have been related to a plugin I recently installed on the previous six blogs that morning (ByREV Fix Missed Shedule Plugin) to deal with a missed schedule bug with WP 2.92, and that maybe that had mucked things up. But then I checked a blog I built months ago, also using the same theme and plugins, and now it too is also encountering the same problem. Any ideas? I tried deleting my htaccess, uploading a blank one, uploading one with this snippet I found on the hostgator forum: # BEGIN WordPress <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] </IfModule> # END WordPress Nothing has worked. I still get 403 or 404 errors everytime. Everything was working perfectly yesterday so I know this setup DOES WORK, I've just mucked something up somewhere and I'm clueless what it is. I read a related thread here and tried chmoding the wp-content folder to 0755 and still having the issue. Any thoughts? Thanks!
