• Flex project architecture ?

  What's the best way to organize functionality modules in a flex project? I saw some people put all modules in one view stack ,and so the application interface is only load once, but when the application get larger, the whole compiled swf would be very big. If we put swfs in different pages, we pass request parameters through HTTP request, we lost the benefits from flex RPC services, slow loading, and we can't see any superior comparing to php,asp,jsp... what's the best practice to organize front end architecture?

• Change Name of Outputted DLL

  If my project name is ABC and the DLL currently outputs as ABC.DLL, how can I make my DLL be outputted as say CBA.DLL and so that when the .LIB is compiled linked against, it is not looking for ABC.DLL, but CBA.DLL. I tried changing the name under Linker General Output File but when I linked to the .lib in my other application, it was still looking for ABC.DLL and CBA.DLL.

• running a parallel port controlling program through php.

  I have a program that is interacting with hardware via parallel port programming. i had compiled it and using its object file to interact with the hardware (a simple led). when i execute it directly on the shell it serves the purpose of glowing the LED but when i execute it using shell_exec() in php the command is executed but unable to interact with the hardware. i am totally confused.. .

When I compiled with W4, I'm getting a lot of warnings such as: C4127: conditional expression is constant Should I compile at W3, or find other ways to handle warnings at W4, such as: adding a new header file and using pragma's(mentioned here C++ Coding Standards: 101 Rules, Guidelines, and Best Practices). • fake python modules via symlinks: on windows?

  I have several compiled python modules; they are put into a single .so (to avoid runtime linking, there are cross-module symbol dependencies), but a number of symlinks points to this .so: libfoo.so -> liball.so libbar.so -> liball.so liball.so This way, I can do import foo (Python will call initfoo() defined in liball.so) or import bar (calls initbar()). I am wondering if this approach will work on Windows?

  I just setup an out of the box "W2K8 R2 Web" server and installed IIS 7 out of the box. Then I installed the .NET4 framework and ran "aspnet_regiis -i" command. I created a site using .NET 4.0 Integrated app pool. I created an MVC application using the default MVC project template, without modifying I compiled the project and deploy the files using (Publish) to the virtual directory. I can pull the site up, but the styles are missing from the page and for some reason it routing to the /Account/LogOn?ReturnUrl=/

  two questions: how do i compile a .java file that isn't on my username (like something in documents or some other sub folder) if i have multiple .java files and i compile one that contains method that are contained in the others does the compiler compile those other files. heres an example of the second question. example1.java: class example1 { main () { example2.method () } } example2.java: class example2 { method () } When i compile example1.java will example2.java also be compiled?

  I've compiled my Python program using Py2Exe, and on the client's computer we've satisfied all the dependencies using dependency walker, but we still get "The application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may correct the problem." I'm also using wxPython. The client does not have administrator access. Any ideas?

• What does the Microsoft.WebApplication.targets import do in VS 2010 web application projects?

  Visual Studio 2010 seems to insist on having this import in web application projects <Import Project="$(MSBuildExtensionsPath32)\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v10.0\WebApplications\Microsoft.WebApplication.targets" /> What does this import give us and is it really required? On a side note if you remove this import with a text editor Visual studio will re-add it. The reason i am asking is when the project is compiled on a build server that target does nor exists because visual studio is not installed.

  Is there a way to detect whether two EXE's (compiled from VS.Net 2008 for C++/MFC) do not have any code-level changes between them i.e. for purposes of knowing that there have been no statement changes. This seems really like an obvious way to do LaTeX authoring but it doesn't look like any software is able to do it. LyX is not what I'm looking for.   I have a Debian system currently running with python 2.5.4. I got virtualenv properly installed, everything is working fine. Is there a possibility that I can use a virtualenv with a different version of Python? I compiled Python 2.6.2 and would like to use it with some virtualenv. • Is .NET a write once, run anywhere (WORA) platform like Java claims to be?

  I remember Sun's slogan so vividly... "Write Once, Run Anywhere". The idea being that since programs are compiled into standard byte codes, any device with a Java Virtual Machine could run it. Over the years, Java seems to have made it onto many platforms/devices. Is this the intention or was it ever the intention of .NET. If so, what kind of efforts are being put forth to make this a reality?
