• Google App Engine - Error vacuuming indexes

  I had an index that had status error, so following the docs I tried to vacuum my indexes to remove it. When running appcfg.py to vacuum it I got this error message: Error 400: --- begin server output --- Deleting a composite index failed: ApplicationError: 1 --- end server output --- Now all of my indexes are in error state. How can I fix this?

  I am working on exercise 13 from learnpythonthehardway.org. I should run this code: from sys import argv script, first, second, third = argv print "The script is called:", script print "Your first variable is:", first print "Your second variable is:", second print "Your third variable is:", third Then enter "python ex13.py first 2nd 3rd" on command line. However, I am using Aptana Studio 3 on Vista and I get the "ValueError: too many values to unpack" error. I am new to Python and Aptana so how can I enter the separate arguments here?

• Is there a template engine for Node.js?

  I'm kind of falling in love with Node.js not because you write app code in javascript but because of its performance. I really don't care a lot about how beautiful a server side language might be but how much requests per second it can handle. So anyway I'm looking forward to experiment building an entire webapp using Node.js (and going back to the actual question) is there a template engine similar to let's say the django template engine or something similar (that at least allows you to extend base templates) available for Node.js?

  Hi all, We are using Carrot in our Python project. I wrote a Python script acting as the consumer of the message queue. I invoked this Python script using command line shell in Windows 7 as python consumer.py However, after a while, the running session was aborted and the error is: [errno 10054] An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host The producer session is still running fine on the Linux server. Just wondering how can I fix this and have a long running consumer session on Windows Thanks in advance.

  I usually see Ruby on Rails books using script/generate model Story name:string link:string which is a singular Story, while when it is controller script/generate controller Stories index then the Story now is Stories, which is plural. Is this a standard on Ruby on Rails? Is it true in other MVC frameworks too, like CakePHP, Symfony, Django, or TurboGears? I see that in the book Rails Space, the controller is also called User, which is the same as the model name, and it is the only exception I see.

The problem is, that after opening the plot, the focus isn't on the terminal anymore, so you have to click or tab to it manually.   Since input and raw_input() stop the program from running anymore, I want to use a subprocess to run this program... while True: print raw_input() and get its output.   Hi All, Not able to create standalone python binary package 1) The binary package works only on the machine on which it is build 2) There is always an error with respect console.py dependent on cx_freeze and wx libraries (.so files). 3) Tried the rpath trick suggested at this link http://wiki.wxpython.org/CreatingStandaloneExecutables 4) I have also experimented with GUI2exe , but still dependency problem exists. Please let me know if there is working python script to solve these dependence problem of cx_freeze and wx._core (.so) files. Thank you

• Entity framework: Need a easy going, clean database migration solution.

  I'm using entity framework model first development, and I need to do database migration often, The EF database generation power pack doesn't help a lot, because that data migration never worked here. The database migration here I mean, change the model, and then I can update the existing database from the model, but creating a new one. Is there any free of charge tool here invented here yet? Or would this going to be a new feature of next EF release? PS: I love django's ORM.
