  • What is the best project setup in this situation?

    The presentation tier will contain 2 web modules (serving different purposes and based on different technologies), the middle tier will be Spring beans without EJBs and the persistence tier will be JPA on Hibernate.     Hi, I have upgraded my application from grails 1.2.2 to 1.3.1-RC1. While things seem to work when executing grails from command prompt, I cannot make it run from my IDE IntelliJ (last development version). The error I got is: Error executing script RunApp: net/sf/json/JSONException ... Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: net.sf.json.JSONException It seems that the library json-lib.jar is not in the IntelliJ classpath. Do you know how can I solve this?

  • Does your Visual Studio2008 hang after installing Office 2010?

    Wierd.... Late nite I installed Office 2010 Professional Plus. Here I am, the next morning, and Visual Studio 2008 is freezing, like there "was some invisible dialog window", because it doesn't allow me to click on any IDE element. In brief, after I open a ASP.MVC form, suddenly I'm not allowed to click on anything, icon, dock panel, toolbox, nothing... Anyone has this kind of problem?

    When I run KitchenSink example project on iPhone emulator everything is OK, but trying to launch for Android emulator produces errors: [ERROR] /Users/lukasz/Android/android-sdk-mac_x86/tools/apkbuilder [ERROR] Failed installing com.appcelerator.kitchensink: pkg: /data/local/tmp/app.apk It happens whatever Androig API I choose (from 1.5 to 2.2 or from APIs 1.5 to APIs 2.2). I am using Titanium Developer 1.2.1, titanium SDK 1.4.1.11 Where is the problem? As far as I can see Android SDKs and platforms work correctly because I can successfully compile Android projects from diffrent IDE (Netbeans).

    Hi. I wanna wrap some text around a UIButton or clickable image in some kind of scrollview. My ide was to add an UIButton to an UIWebView, but thats not possible? Is there a way to wrap text around an UIButton in an UIScrollView or UITextView? Or can I add an image to the UIWebView and handle the clicking somehow?

    How do you debug lua code embedded in a c++ application? From what I gather, either I need to buy a special IDE and link in their special lua runtime (ugh). Or I need to build a debug console in to the game engine, using the lua debug API calls. I am leaning toward writing my own debug console, but it seems like a lot of work. Time that I could better spend polishing the other portions of the game.

  • How do I stop jetty server in clojure?

    I am writing a web application using ring and clojure. I am using the jetty adapter for the development server and emacs/SLIME for IDE. While wrap-reload does help, run-jetty blocks my slime session and I would like to be able to start/stop it at will without having to run it in a separate terminal session. Ideally, I would like to define a server agent and functions start-server and stop-server that would start/stop the server inside the agent. Is this possible?

I can create a text file with this information, but we need design time support as well, and it is not practical to have a connection string in every App.Config and Web.config file in the solution.     I recently moved from NetBeans to Eclipse and I very much miss one great feature - whenever I use method which throws some kind of exception, NetBeans alerted me and I needed to add try-catch and NetBeans automatically generated exception type for me. Is there something similiar for Eclipse? f.e. : Integer.parseInt(new String("foo")); NetBeans alerts I need to catch NumberFormatException. Eclipse doesn't alert me at all I am using Eclipse Java EE IDE for Web Developers, 3.5 - Galileo

    Hi all, I've recently gotten quite fond of netbeans for my php work because of the XDebug integration. It has made me all but forget about textmate (which imho still beats netbeans for the little things) What do you think is the one awesome netbeans feature I should know about, and more importantly why and how do I use it? I'm asking this to optimize my skills in the use of the IDE and based on the idea that what works well for others might just work for me (and hopefully others).

    Hello - I am using the IBM RAD IDE and building a dynamic web project. When I build the project and attempt to add it to the server by selecting 'add or remove projects' I get the response that there are no projects to add or remove. Does this mean I will have to create a EAR file (J2EE Project) and add my web project to it in order to deploy to the local WAS? Might I be missing some essential configuration?

Unit Testing or no Unit Testing Be sure to include any AOP frameworks if used. Tell me if it is easier for you to use debugging or to using logging during development, and why you feel it is easier. I'm just trying to get a feel for why people choose debugging or logging based on their development stack.
