  • Visual Studio 2010 : Cant change target. Gives TargetFrameworkMoniker Error.

    I have a console application which has target .NET 2.0 It is very short but full of unsafe code. I converted it to VS 2010. I run it OK. When I try to change "target framework" in properties to 3.5 or 4.0 it shows message box: TargetFrameworkMoniker: Error parsing application configuration file at line 0. XML document must have a top level element. the target then stays 2.0 anyway... Any thoughts?

    I am currently upgrading our software to support ipv6 and in the meantime I'm expanding hostname/ip fields to the max hostname size. In sun documentation it seems like this can be up to 1025 (netdb.h:#define NI_MAXHOST 1025 - this is the recommended hostname allocation define), but when I pass a hostname of over 255 to getaddrinfo I get "getaddrinfo failed: memory allocation failure". I am testing on a Sol10 box. Ideas?

    Hello again. Im adding an image to my wordpress theme through dreamweaver cs4 and themedreamer. The image will go in the sidebar.php. When I inserted an image it doesnt shows in firefox and explorer. With safari, the image only shows an empty box with a question sign in the middle. Is there a special way to add image in a wordpress template?

    I realise that WCF and services in general are meant to be loosely coupled. But I have a requirement that my client app can check whether an given WCF endpoint contains a service that matches its generated client code. In other words I need to check for a compatible service. Obviously I could have a method that returns a manually maintained version number, but I would prefer not to have to write my own meta data system if WCF can do something out of the box.

    I have a regular input box (no onchange attribute). <input type="text" id="bar" name="bar" /> For some reason, IE6+ does returns [object], while FF and Chrome returns null. if ((elem.getAttributeNode('onchange')) != null) elem.onchange(); I did also try as: if (typeof(elem.onchange) !== 'undefined') elem.onchange(); What would be the proper cross-browser way to check if the element has the attribute?   • Absolute positioning error in IE6 with dropdown list

    I have a div, that I'm using JavaScript to position, so that when someone hovers over an image, it displays a tooltip message that follows along with the pointer. (Using tooltip-0.2.js ) The problem is that when a user goes to the page in IE6, a disabled dropdown box on the page is showing through this absolutely positioned tooltip when it tries to hover over it. How can I get this dropdownlist to know its proper place? ;)

  • Running cUrl cmd from Win7 doesn't work, but on Linux it does.

    Like the title says. I'm sending a simple cUrl cmd from Win7 to CouchDB on my Linux box, and it doesn't work. But if I run the same command in Linux, it works. I'm sending this: curl -X POST 192.168.2.5:5984/test/testdoc -d '{"owner":{"fname":"test","lname":"ing"}}' From windows, it keeps giving me a "error: bad request, reason:invalid UTF-8 JSON". I can run GET commands from windows just fine, I just can't seem to POST to CouchDB.

    Not sure if this is a bug or if i'm just missing something but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get my cursor back in the winforms designer in visual studio 2010. I opened up an existing project and added a group box, now my cursor is stuck drawing group boxes. I just want the simple pointer cursor back but nothing I do seems to bring it back. I almost expected it to be on the toolbox under "Cursor" but its not.

So I came up with the idea of a Panel + modalPopupExtender placed in the MasterPage, and calling it from child pages via code-behind. How can I do that?     How do you determine the length of a string of text in Arial Bold font, and then center it in VB6? If not here, can you point me in a direction where I might be able to find this information? We're not using a "label" or "picture box" do print the text to the screen. We are sizing the text on the fly, and allowing the user to scale the size of our application to their liking. We write the text to screen using code.

  • Validating using stripes causes bound values to delete

    I'm using Stripes and I am validating the values of a drop down box to ensure the user selects an option. On initial load all data is present, but once the validation kicks in the form loses the data that was set up in the action bean on load. This includes the original list I am validating against. I'm simply using in the jsp, and annotating the field in the action bean as @Validate(required=true). Am I missing something simple? Cheers

  • Changing Window Title in Interface Builder

    Hi all, I'm new to Objective C and Cocoa - and I'm having a really hard time changing the title on one of my windows. Usually I would press the outside of the window, and then in Window Attributes Inspector there's the title area - however for this particular project it has a name in that box and when I run the application, the title bar still says untitled. Am I missing something? I haven't binded the title to a data source or anything.
