I'm building an autosuggest search, like apple's spotlight... and want to disable the browser from offering text suggestions under the input box. I can't remember if that's an html or css setting and can't find it.
Anyone remember?
previously i was using picture box and its built in utilities to draw some heavy graphics initially it works very fine but when my GUI grows its response and update time becomes enough large that it shows delays, now i want to directly write in graphics memory to resolve this problem:
first of all tell me is it a good idea if yes then i need some guide lines to do so, or any other good option will be accepted

If I create a Web Application project in visual studio 2008 I can add a resource file for a page and using the Access Modifier drop down in the resource file editor to let visual studio generate the code so that the local resources are strongly typed.
However if I create a Web Site project this combo box is disabled. Is there anyway to acheive this for a web site?
What is the pros and cons in using FormsAuthentication to persist a login cookie?
I see that StackOverflow ignore FormsAuthentication and instead implemented a different strategy to persist a login cookie.
Pros
Out of the box implementation for persistent login feature.
Cons
The login feature depends on the machine key which mean that I need to make sure that the machine key is the same on all the servers in the farm.
The cookie contains wired encrypted values that don't really make sense to store in the cookie.

I am using TextMate on a Ruby on Rails project and wonder if you can put the mouse on link_to, and then press a key and it will show the definition of link_to, or does this for any other helper functions?
Or, click open a box and type in a function name and it will show you the definition?
I've got a standard Rails app with Nginx and Mongrel running at http://mydomain. I need to run a Wordpress blog at http://mydomain.com/blog. My preference would be to host the blog in Apache running on either the same server or a separate box but I don't want the user to see a different server in the URL. Is that possible and if not, what would you recommend to accomplish the goal?
I'd like to set the tick box options within the LAN settings of the Internet Options:
I'd prefer the code in a script or C#, but C/C++ would be fine as well. Please answer with the code/script to at least untick the "Use automatic configuration script" option.
THANKS!
Hi,
Kangxi radicals in the range 2F00-2FDF (see link text) are not displayed correctly on the iPhone device. They appear as a crossed-out box. In the simulator they display correctly.
I tried the system font and also the
[UIFont fontWithName:@"STHeitiTC-Medium" size:24];
... Is the unicode codepoint coverage limited on the iphone (in my case OS 3.1.3)?
How to make those radicals appear???
Thx

Normally, I would use a PHP webservice to do this, but since the front-end is hosted on a linux box, I need another way to do this (so I don't have to go through the trouble of installing FreeTDS, etc. I will if I have to).
Is there a better way to do this? I'm not a web guy, but I'm trying my best.

I want to somehow place a question on the title using the url.
Actually I am building a webpage where I have placed a question input box and submit button, so I want that when I submit it should redirect me to the ask questions page and the title should contain the question that he asked.
Is there any way to do that?
Thanks.
How can I detect whether or not an input box is currently a jQuery UI autocomplete? There doesn't seem to be a native method for this, but I'm hoping there is something simple like this:
if ($("#q").autocomplete)
{
//Do something
}
That conditional, however, seems to always return true.
I'm using a richtext box to concatenate a log message.
And it seems I got an error: "the settings of this property is too long"
So is there a size limit ?
In FF this border radius doesn't seem to want to work.
Editable link here.
the right radius of the big box should be 0px and the left of the small boxshould be 0 to join them..
