    Hi, It seems like not so long ago that it was standard to have icons/images in context menus and Microsoft seems to keep this up. But nowadays it seems to have disappeared in other apps: Chrome, iTunes etc. Anyone have an opinion / idea why this has happened or is it just completely personal taste (I for one like the images).     Is it possible to check for a right-click on a menu item in .NET? It appears that the framework doesn't expose it as an Event, but I've seen other applications (like Chrome and Firefox) which allow you to bring up a right-click context menu for a menu item. Presumably with a little event-loop magic you can do the same thing in .NET, right?

    I want a certain file (only this!) to remove the php extension for calling it. BUT: It uses get parameters and they should remain! I tried it with my .htaccess and something like: RewriteEngine on followed by either RewriteRule ^file(.*)$ file.php$1 or RewriteRule ^file(.+)$ file.php$1 but it doesn't work. (First gives error 500, second gives 404) Example what I want to call in the browser: file?param=asd&foo=bar - It should call as: file.php?param=asd&foo=bar

    (I am running Linux Ubuntu 9.10, so the extension for an executable is executablefile.out) I am just getting into modular programming (programming with multiple files) in C and I want to know how to compile multiple files in a single makefile. For example, what would be the makefile to compile these files: main.c, dbAdapter.c, dbAdapter.h?   • Apache authentication: Redirect on failure, reliably?

    I've set my ErrorDocument 401 to point to my website's account creation page, but not all browsers seem to honor this redirect (Safari). Also, other browsers (Firefox, Chrome) never quit asking for the password and show the ErrorDocument. This causes a good number of users to give up trying after many password attempts without seeing the account creation page. Is there any way to make the redirect more reliable, without trashing basic authentication altogether?

    i am extracting file names of html files using line: filename = File.basename(input_filename, ".*") which currently prints full file name excluding .html extension All files are stored in the form of http^x.x.edu^1^2 all file names begin with http^ and contain edu^ what i want is to extract 2 (which changes) but it is always the second element after .edu I have attempted destructive gsub! but i m weak with regular expressions.

    Is there a way to rewrite the hg commit message if the wrong information was entered? We always include our Bug ID when we commit a changeset. For instance: hg commit -m "Bug 14585: LastName field should be mandatory" But If I put the wrong bug ID, is there a way (through an extension maybe) to fix the comment once the changeset has been committed (and possibly pushed)?

    I am using wget to mirror website using this code $ wget \ --recursive \ --no-clobber \ --page-requisites \ --html-extension \ --convert-links \ --restrict-file-names=windows \ --domains website.org \ --no-parent \ www.website.org/tutorials/html/ The next time I run it it starts downloading the same files again, however I want only the changed files to be downloaded next time. I am open to use any other tool or script(preferably PHP,Curl) apart from using wget.

I have written a Visual Studio extension that has an IOperationContractGenerationExtension implementation, but this interface only seems to expose the ability to modify the service interface, not the ClientBase-derived class. Is there any way to generate new methods in the proxy client class?

    I have a problem that I have been trying to figure out and haven't been able to get past it because Chrome/FireFox/IE do not publicly publish their "rules" for pop up blocking when it comes to JavaScript, Flash, etc. I am trying to trigger a window.open() when a user clicks anywhere on page. I've tried this: document.onclick = window.open("http://msn.com"); But all 3 browsers are blocking the popup, even though it is a user interaction.

  • Apache Virtual Host in Windows - how do I deal with Symbolic links?

    Hi Folks, I'm trying to run a virtual host on a WAPP stack. My virtual host has the FollowSymLinks option, but in Windows, all those symbolic links (I'm using shortcuts, and I think this may be the problem) have the .lnk extension. So if I'm trying to access settings.html, Apache can't find it because all i have sitting there is settings.html.lnk. Apologies if my question is unclear.
